Rashad Evans believes Joshua Fabia is a parasite that Diego Sanchez needs out of his life.

Sanchez was recently released by the UFC with his controversial head coach Fabia playing a big role in the events that have taken place in recent days.

That’s mainly because Fabia recently requested the medical records of Sanchez from the UFC which led to the promotion naturally showing concerns about whether Sanchez was in a position to compete.

In the end, they weren’t convinced and proceeded to release Sanchez with his fight with Donald Cerrone on May 8 getting called off in the process.

Fabia, in particular, came under fire again with many theorizing that he was looking to file a lawsuit against the UFC had they allowed Sanchez to compete without giving him his medical records.

In reality, he has nobody to blame but himself given his crazy antics in recent years as well as the role he has played in tarnishing Sanchez’s career from the eyes of many observers.

Sanchez, however, continues to back him up but Evans — who was a former teammate of Sanchez’s — made a plea on Instagram to the former lightweight title challenger to part ways with Fabia.

“Diego the UFC gave you a chance to compete as long as you did because they actually cared about you,” Evans wrote. “You were the original TUF CHAMP and they took care of you for that. You messed around and let that con artist Josh Fabia use you to try and get a lawsuit against the UFC. They sensed it because it was obvious that your manager / coach was about to get litigious.

“I wish you the best my friend but you must get this guy out of your life. He is a parasite.”

Hopefully, Sanchez heeds his advice.

Dana White has spoken out for the first time since Diego Sanchez was cut by the UFC.

‘The Nightmare’ was scheduled to fight Donald Cerrone on May 8 but that bout was recently scrapped due to confusion about the health status of Sanchez.

Ahead of his bout with Cerrone, the Ultimate Fighter Season One Winner passed the mandatory medical tests. However, an issue arose when Sanchez and members of his team refused to confirm if he was suffering from any short-term or long-term medical issues.

After some back-and-forth with the UFC’s Chief of Business Officer, Hunter Campbell, Sanchez said via his lawyer that he was unable to confirm his health status because he’s not a neurologist and hadn’t seen one. That response triggered Sanchez’s release from the UFC on April 27.

In the aftermath of Sanchez’s release White spoke of his great relationship with the UFC Hall of Famer while taking aim at “creepy” Joshua Fabia.

“I have an incredible, amazing relationship with Diego and I like him very much and I hope he is OK,” White told Yahoo Sports. “One of the sad things that happens, not just in fighting but in sports, and I want you to quote me on this, are these creepy weirdos who come from God knows where and leech onto fighters or athletes. They never do any good for them.

“Somehow, this creep got into Diego’s life and has been controlling him. You saw the video of him chasing guys in the Octagon with a knife. How [expletive] nuts is that? He goes to the commission and tells them that he’s taught Diego this death touch. It goes on and on with this guy. He goes into the [fighter-broadcaster] production meeting and tells the commentators what they should be saying? The guy is bats*** nuts. He worked his way into Diego’s life and has gotten control over him. I just want the best for Diego.”

Before his unanimous decision defeat to Jake Matthews at UFC 253 back in September, Sanchez took part in a fighter meeting with the broadcast team as most fighters do.

However, just as his meeting ended, Sanchez’s controversial head coach Joshua Fabia stepped in to have a few words with the likes of Paul Felder, Megan Olivi, Jon Anik, Angela Hill and others.

With Stephan Bonnar recording, Fabia take issue with the commentators for biased commentary towards Sanchez before making things about himself.

“Real quick, guys, ’cause you don’t know who the hell I am,” Fabia said (via MMA Junkie). “You guys have heard a lot of sh*t talk and all the good stuff. Let’s just cut the bullsh*t on the commentating and the low blows on this guy – no trying to turn the narrative that he’s f**king up his legacy and all that weird stuff. Let’s just keep it fair.

“You want some video? Contact me and I’ll send it to you. You want to know what’s going on? You want to actually talk to the people doing it? You might have to actually f**king talk to me. And coming at (Stephan Bonnar) like he’s going to know all this sh*t? He ain’t. He hasn’t been there the whole time. So if anybody needs to actually get those answers, you will have to speak to me.

“And to do that, probably allowing the media to turn the narrative on the guy that’s trying to help people here – and when you respect these two legends, it seems a little disrespectful that you don’t recognize they respect me. And if you’re going to be the one telling the narrative, that’s on you when I’m getting sh*t on by the public, by millions of people. If you’re going to be here leveraging off of all this, notice I’m on the end of the sh*tty stick here, and none of you have stood up for anybody that needed to be stood up for. And that’s real. You guys are like the tough guys, and all this stuff …”

That led to this response from Felder.

“Man, I don’t know what the f**k you’re talking about,” Felder said. “… It’s not my job to talk about what the public is talking about outside. It’s my job to talk about this athlete and his performance in the cage. That’s it.”
