After the UFC announced it’s upcoming return to Chicago, Illinois, a few women’s bouts have been added to the card.

One that stands out immediately is the return of top 115-pound prospect Tatina Suarez. The cancer survivor and former Olympic-hopeful is undefeated in her mixed martial arts (MMA) career thus far. In her last outing, she dominated former UFC women’s strawweight champion Carla Esparza with a third round TKO victory.

Now, according to a report from The Chicago Tribune, she’ll face Nina Ansaroff at the UFC 238 pay-per-view (PPV) from “The Windy City”. Ansaroff is surging at the moment with a four-fight win streak. She defeated former title challenger Claudia Gadelha via unanimous decision in her last contest at UFC 231 in December.

The winner of this bout could very well be next in line to challenge for the strap. Also, the report includes that a flyweight bout between Katlyn Chookagian and Joanne Calderwood will take place on the card. Chookagian had a three-fight win streak snapped by Jessica Eye in December. However, Calderwood is going strong off back-to-back victories.

Her latest being a unanimous decision win over Ariane Lipski at UFC on ESPN+ 1 this past January. In a very young and thin women’s flyweight division, every victory is crucial in hopes of securing a title opportunity. UFC 238 goes down live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, June 8, 2019.

We previewed the main card earlier this week (RIP Cowboy Cerrone vs. Kelvin Gastelum), so check that out if you missed it. The “prelims” put that name to shame, as just about every fight on this slate could headline a Fox Sports 1 card.

Frankie Edgar will look to rebound from his one-sided loss to interim champion Jose Aldo at UFC 200 when he takes on the brick-fisted Jeremy Stephens. Edgar is one of the fighters who has been penciled in for this card since the idea of doing a card at Madison Square Garden was but a distant dream. The Toms River, NJ, native figures to get a big pop when he makes his walk to the Octagon.

Not even making the headliner of the prelims, Khabib Nurmagomedov will attempt to push his record to an unbelievable 24-0 against the talented but enigmatic Michael Johnson. The rest of the slate sees the return of Thiago Alves, a slugfest between bruising and defensively deficient middleweights Rafael Natal and Tim Boetsch, and what is sure to be a wildly fun welterweight banger between Vicente Luque and Belal Muhammad.
