Dillon Danis no-showed a Thursday press conference to promote his upcoming boxing match with social media star KSI.

Emanating from the Wembley Arena in London, the two fighters are scheduled to headline MF and DAZN: X Series 004 on January 14th. KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, called Danis’ lack of attendance both disappointing and disrespectful to everyone else that arrived for the event.

“In terms of Dillon Danis not being here, I think it’s quite disappointing, disrespectful to me and everyone here expecting him to show up,” KSI said. “It’s not something I haven’t seen before.”

Kalle Sauerland, the event’s promoter, told attendees that Danis skipped the event to focus on training after “suffering a bout of influenza.” Danis was scheduled to appear via video, but that never occurred.

“I don’t know, maybe it’s my presence, maybe it’s just me in general, I’m so much of a scary guy. But I can understand that — I’m very disciplined, very focused, and if you look at my résumé, I don’t lose too many times. I think for Dillon, that’s probably seeping in. Yeah, I know he’s undefeated himself, but I think looking me in the eyes — even when we saw each other in Texas — I could tell it was a facade.

“He had to pretend that he’s bigger and stronger than he actually is, and it kind of shows not being here how little he really is, how small his mindset really is. He says I’m not a real fighter but I’m here. I’m always ready. And, as someone he says he is a real fighter, he has not made the plane trip to see me, and has not even made the Zoom call to see me, he’s terrified. He’s petrified of me. It’s disappointing.”

KSI is Ready for Dillon Danis, Tommy Fury, and Jake Paul

The bout with Dillon Danis will be KSI’s first professional boxing match since a 2019 split-decision victory over current WWE Superstar Logan Paul. He returned to the squared circle earlier this year, earning back-to-back knockouts against Brandon Scott and Luis Alcaraz Pineda on the same night in exhibition bouts. For Dillon Danis, the January 14th affair will be his first fight since scoring two wins under the Bellator banner between 2018 and 2019.

“Either way, when I do see him in the ring, he’ll understand all of the frustration and anger that I have for him for disrespecting me in this way will show Jan. 14,” KSI explained. “I’m a guy that whenever I’m focused, whenever I want something, I will get it no matter what. If anything, this makes me want to train harder, makes me want to do more than I already am doing, it makes me want to do more sprints, more bag work, more sparring, more of everything that I’m doing at such a high level.

“I’m ready for all things, whether it’s Dillon Danis, or it’s Tommy Fury, whether it’s Jake Paul or any of these guys, I am a different beast, and I will show it with all of these different fights that I do. It’s just a shame, honestly.

“I believe I’m all he thinks about and I’m in his nightmares — constantly terrorizing him, haunting him — and it’s making him slowly break down. It’s making break down, thinking, ‘Maybe I’m in over my head. When I see KSI in the ring Jan. 14, am I really to get in there with him?’ Is he the guy that’s going to beat me, I don’t think so.”

MMA Fighter and professional boxer Anthony Taylor got to do something many have long desired to do. He punched Dillon Danis in the face.

Danis, a Bellator MMA fighter who has not stepped into the cage for more than three years, has stayed relevant in the world of combat sports by talking a big game on Twitter and causing a raucous everywhere he goes. Just days removed from an altercation with Nate Diaz outside of Madison Square Garden, Danis was back at it during the Misfits Boxing x DAZN Series 003 weigh-ins ceremony last Friday.

Danis made an appearance inside the building, confronting YouTuber and pro boxer KSI. The two got into a scuffle when Danis made contact with KSI. Removed from the building, Danis immediately got into a confrontation with Anthony Taylor. Things did not go Danis’ way. In the video clip below, Anthony Taylor can be seen landing a solid right on Danis that knocked back ‘El Jefe’ several feet. From there, the parties were separated and Danis retreated with his entourage.

Anthony Taylor is Tired of Seeing Dillon Danis Target YouTubers

In an interview with MMA Fighting, Anthony Taylor discussed the incident at length and what led to the viral moment.

Dillon Danis, just coming in, he was just being a bully,” Taylor said. “He’s picking on reporters, over acting tough with his MMA buddies, or whoever the hell he’s with. But he was just acting tough, acting he like he can’t even be touched because, ‘I’m this jiu-jitsu world champion, nobody’s going to fight me.’

“So he comes in to do his thing with KSI, flips his hat, or smacks him in the face, throws coffee and just runs off. Like, man, don’t come to a YouTube event trying to be a bully to other fighters, especially YouTubers who have no legitimate background in fighting. They’re learning how to fight. It’s called a YouTube event, don’t come over trying to be a bully. You don’t see Jon Jones trying to bully YouTubers.

“I took that in my hands to say something. Nobody, for years, has said or done anything to Dillon, and he’s gotten away with it for so many years doing it to Logan Paul, Jake Paul, to Khabib, to all of these [people], and he got away with it. Don’t come to an event, try and be a bully, push reporters, because now I’m going to call you out. You want to fight YouTubers and boxers, fight me. I’m an MMA fighter, too. What’s up? That’s how it escalated.”

Dillon Danis will step into the squared circle for the first time on January 13th when he faces KSI as part of the Misfits Boxing x DAZN Series 004 event. It will be his first fight in more than three years. Currently signed with Bellator MMA, Danis made two appearances for the promotion scoring back-to-back first-round submissions over Kyle Walker and Max Humphrey. The latter of the two came in June 2019.

“I gave him a little push with my left hand, he tried to snap back at me with a quick jab, I threw my little left jab, he tried to hit me, and that’s when I popped him with an overhand right and he stumbled — 50 yards back, baby. Pow,” Taylor continued. “Without that truck being there, he would’ve fell.”

Anthony Taylor is a former mixed martial artist with a 7-5 record. Under the Bellator MMA banner, “Pretty Boy” went 2-3 before making his transition to boxing. Since then, Anthony Taylor has gone 3-3 inside the squared circle including both professional and exhibition bouts. Most recently, he competed against Jack Fincham on the Mayweather vs. Deiji undercard. The bout ended in a draw.

Floyd Mayweather Anthony 'Pretty Boy' Taylor Fight

Floyd Mayweather has another fight booked, and this time it’s against an actual fighter, as opposed to a YouTuber.

The legendary ‘Money’ Mayweather has been having fun in the twilight of his career, notching easy victories over far lesser opponents for the money he’s so aptly nicknamed after. It looks like this charade will continue, with the announcement of his latest fight against Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor.

‘Pretty Boy’ was most recently in the spotlight due to a wild brawl against one of MMA’s most ridiculed fighters, Dillon Danis. Danis is scheduled to face English Youtuber KSI in a boxing bout, and during a staredown, Danis shoved his fist in KSI’s face and threw a drink at him. Taylor had no intention of letting this slide, as he and his entourage followed Danis and his crew outside of the venue, where a wild brawl took place. Giving Taylor some much-needed relevance.

This must have been enough relevance for Floyd Mayweather to take notice, as soon after word of their boxing bout was announced by none other than Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor himself on Twitter.

Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor set to become Floyd Mayweather’s latest victim

Using Twitter, Taylor announced his latest matchup against boxing phenom Floyd Mayweather:

“Next year I will be sharing the ring with the greatest fighter of all time which none other then @FloydMayweather my respect for this man is beyond. I might talk and fool around but I respect this man very much and vice versa!!! @FloydMayweather.”

Anthony Taylor last graced the boxing ring in an exhibition bout against Jack Fincham. Since it was an exhibition, there was no victor. According to sources, that exhibition made seven appearances inside the squared circle.

On the other side of the ring, will be boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather. Currently, his record sits at a perfect 50-0. He’s defeated the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, and many other boxing legends. It will be very interesting to see how ‘Pretty Boy’ combats a man with as much boxing experience as ‘Money’ Mayweather.

What’s your opinion on this fight, and do you think it’s just more easy money for Floyd Mayweather?

KSI and Dillon Danis shared a heated head-to-head face-off following their January 14 fight announcement.

During the Misfits Boxing 3 event, headlined by Hasim Rahman Jr. and Greg Hardy, YouTuber KSI would announce Danis as his next opponent as the influencer boxing scene continue to seep into mainstream combat sports.

The pair would come face-to-face in the middle of the ring before exchanging some words.

Best believe January 14, you’re finished,” said KSI. “I am the nightmare, KSI, You don’t want to fuck with me!

“Look at me in my eyes, no one trains as hard as me, no one is as good as me when it comes to this, the YouTube scene. It’s all me, you’ll see, good luck bro.” (H/T talkSPORT)

KSI and Dillon Danis clash

Earlier in the week, KSI and Danis would clash at a media event, with Danis slapping and throwing an iced coffee over the Brit.

KSI last fought on August 27, taking on two opponents on in one night, knocking them both out. The first of which was ‘Swarmz’, a UK rapper who stepped in on late notice with little boxing experience. The second fight of the night was against Luis Alcaraz Pineda, a 2-6 journeyman who has campaigned between super-lightweight and super-welterweight, several weight classes below cruiserweight, KSI.

As for Danis, who rose to fame as a training partner for Conor McGregor and his involvement in the Khabib Nurmagomedov incident, he has not fought since mid-2019. There was a reasonable amount of hype around Danis and his career, whether it was to do with the association to McGregor or not, people were somewhat invested.

However, Danis seems more interested in social media exploits than pursuing an MMA career, but in fairness now has the opportunity to earn himself a lot of money while gaining ‘clout’.

Who will win, KSI or Dillon Danis?

Dillon Danis

Bellator fighter Dillon Danis has not shown much interest in fighting inside the cage over the last three years, but he’s been more than willing to start trouble when backed by an entourage of friends and security guards outside of the cage.

Less than a week removed from an altercation with Nate Diaz outside of Madison Square Garden following UFC 281, Dillon Danis is back at it again, this time causing a brawl outside of the Misfits x DAZN X Series weigh-in with professional boxer Anthony Taylor. Minutes after causing a scuffle inside the building with YouTuber KSI, Danis found himself on the wrong side of an all-out brawl outside the building.

In a video clip shared by Chmatkar Sandhu on Twitter, Danis can be seen getting rocked in the altercation before it erupts into a group brawl.

Dillon Danis Took a Swing at KSI Before Getting Rocked by Anthony Taylor

Just minutes before Dillon Danis got a taste of Anthony Taylor’s power outside, the Bellator quote-unquote fighter decided to approach YouTuber and professional boxer Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, better known as KSI, during his appearance at the event. Getting in KSI’s face, Danis threw a strike that caused absolute chaos. Presumably, it was at that point Danis was removed from the building and found himself getting jaw-jacked by Anthony Taylor.

While Dillon Danis parades himself around as a professional fighter, he has refused to step foot in a ring or a cage for the last three years. Scoring back-to-back wins under the Bellator MMA banner, Danis built up a fair amount of momentum, but it quickly dissipated. Attempting to stay relevant in the world of combat sports, Danis has now taken to showing up at random events and starting trouble.

Clearly, things did not go as planned this time when he decided to take issue with Anthony Taylor.
