Attending a Global Titans boxing event over the course of last weekend, former undisputed UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley has been filmed calling for a fight against YouTuber and UK rap star, KSI (Olajide Olatunde) ringside.

Woodley, a former undisputed welterweight champion under the UFC banner, made his professional boxing debut last year against the undefeated, Jake Paul, suffering a pair of consecutive losses.

Initially dropping a split decision loss to the Ohio native, St. Louis veteran, Woodley then rematched Paul on short notice in December of last year, dropping a spectacular one-punch knockout loss.

Tyron Woodley echoes calls for a fight with UK rapper and YouTuber, KSi

Linked with a series of potential boxing returns in his time away from the sport, as well as a potential return to professional mixed martial arts, footage caught over the weekend at Global Titans shows Tyron Woodley urging the aforenoted, KSI to sign a contract to land a fight against him next.

“You gonna keep running or what?” Tyron Woodley shouts across the arena to KSI who is also in attendance at Global Titans. “Are you gonna sign the contract or what? Are you gonna sign the contract or what? You say when. You said you’d fight anyone. So are you gonna sign the contract or what?”

3-0 as a professional boxer, KSI successfully defeated Logan Paul in a professional rematch back in November 2019 in a split decision win, before defeating both Swarmz and Luis Alcarez Pineda with second round knockouts back in August in back-to-back fights on the same night at The O2 Arena in London.

Ending his Octagon tenure in the midst of a four-fight losing streak against former champion, Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns, and Colby Covington, Woodley’s final UFC walk came back in March of last year, dropping a D’Arce choke defeat to Vicente Luque.

Tyron Woodley once competed and beat some of the best athletes within the UFC, dominating his opponents in the welterweight division. Reigning supreme over the rest of the division Woodley was the 170-pound champion from 2016-2019.

During his time with the promotion, Woodley would take the belt from Robbie Lawler at UFC 201 before going on to make three successful defences against the likes of Stephen Thompson, Demian Maia, and finally Darren Till.

Since retiring from the sport Woodley has ventured into multiple areas that the sports and entertainment world have to offer. Having made appearances in the Netflix series Cobra Kai that aspect of his life has been going extremely well. However, in his next sporting adventure, we cannot say the same.

Tyron Woodley fell short in his attempt to step into the world of Boxing when he faced YouTube boxer, Jake Paul. Woodley fell short via decision the first time round before being brutally knocked out in the pair’s second meeting.

Tyron Woodley is ready to silence his critics in a potential boxing matchup with KSI

Now it seems following his fall from grace people have forgotten just exactly who Tyron Woodley is, and with rumours circulating that ‘The Chosen One’ will be taking on internet sensation KSI in his next boxing bout the former welterweight champion is looking forward to silencing all his critics.

“I’m not gonna let no f–king YouTuber, do-tuber, nobody makes it seem as if I’m not the same type of fighter. I’m not the same guy.”

“Based on one mistake, it only takes one there’s been many guys on the other end that took that one mistake against me, and they lights got shut out. Robbie dropped his hands at the wrong time. Dong Hyun Kim caught a spinning back fist right, and Darren Till thought he was gonna bully me but I bullied him, right, so at the end of the day, KSI, I like that he’s energetic, he’s all into it, he’s all over the place, but he’s gonna get f–ked up playing around with me.” Woodley told TMZ Sport in a recent interview.  (Transcribed by MiddleEasy)

Floyd Mayweather is looking for more exhibition fights against YouTube celebs. The retired boxer has his eyes on YouTuber Deji Olatunji who is the brother of KSI and is 1-3 in the ring.

The 50-0 former world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather is reportedly looking to fight Deji in Dubai in November in an exhibition bout. Since officially retiring ‘Money’ has faced fighters such as kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa, former UFC Champion Conor McGregor, YouTuber Logan Paul, and others. Now, he is targeting Deji.

Deji is one of the most influential UK social media creators with over 10 million followers on YouTube alone. Earlier this year, Deji was able to earn his first victory in the ring when he stopped Fousey via TKO. Fousey is also a YouTuber. At this same event, named MF & Dazn X Series 1, Deji’s brother KSI boxed and won against two individuals on the same night.

This bout will add to ‘Money’ Mayweather’s busy upcoming schedule. The 45-year-old boxer earned a recent win against his former sparring partner Don Moore in May of this year. The US-born athlete will also be facing RIZIN superstar Mikurua Asakura on September 25. Additionally, Floyd Mayweather will now be looking to add another exhibition match, facing Deji in November.

Mikurua Asakura is a former Rizin Featherweight Champion and has won half of his MMA fights by way of KO/TKO. This fighter has no professional boxing experience.

Floyd Mayweather vs Deji reaction

Most combat sports fans seem unimpressed with the Floyd Mayweather vs Deji matchup. On the KSI Subreddit, user ‘TheDavinci1998’ commented:

“What are we expecting here realistically? Logan won 1 round out of 12 against Floyd if we’re feeling generous and he’s objectively better than Deji. Given Deji’s stamina, I think it is not going to be longer than 8 rounds and he won’t be able to have his own.”

User oOzonee added:

“That’s the most boring thing ever. At least Logan could potentially knock him out considering how big he is. Deji vs Floyd is a waste of time and I doubt people actually care. I would care more if he fought Salt Papi or Joe Weller.”

On Twitter, user Osgood said:

“Deji Mayweather would literally be the DUMEBST fight of all time. Have they mistaked Deji as someone else? At least with Logan hes a big guy and okay MAYBE in some other universe he could KO floyd. But DEJI!?!? They could fight 10 matches in a night and Floyds winning all 10 EASY.”

The fight announcement story was initially reported by Mirror Fighting.
