UFC 122 Predictions

Nate Marquardt vs Yushin Okami I don’t see Okami posing any threat to Marquardt other than maybe winning a decision, not that this couldn’t happen it could. Nate Marquardt vs Yushin Okami

I don’t see Okami posing any threat to Marquardt other than maybe winning a decision, not that this couldn’t happen it could. Marquardt on the other hand has the power to finish Okami inside three rounds. I like Marquardt here.

Jorge Rivera vs Alessio Sakara

This is the second billing fight and is a smart card for a free Spike TV showing. Rivera likes to stay on his feet and of course Sakara does as well. I like Rivera here.

Dennis Siver vs Andre Winner

Both guys have great boxing, Winner has better. Siver has some deadly leg kicks and his sidekick and back fist he uses quite a bit. Andre Winner though I could see putting a pounding on Siver without taking him out until the judge’s decision. Winner via decision.

Amir Sadollah vs Peter Sobotta

Amir Sadollah. UFC likes to showcase him.

Krzysztof Soszynski vs Goran Reljic

In the battle of eastern block names, I like Goran Reljic in this one. However, if Goran gets on his back, Soszynski probably does his key lock.

Kyle Noke vs Rob Kimmons

I’ll ride with Noke. Seemed tough on the show.

Vladimir Matyushenko vs Alexandre Ferreira

Vlad.

Duane Ludwig vs Nick Osipczak

In this match Ludwig is a 2-1 underdog here. I like Ludwig to win and with these odds seems like a no brainer.

Seth Petruzelli vs Karlos Vemola

Petruzelli via ridge hand.

What a weekend. Two Zuffa events in two days, and sandwiched in between two Strikeforce cards on Showtime. It’s almost enough to make even the most hardcore fan take a night off to watch some “Top Chef” and wait for the testosterone levels to drop back to normal. Almost.

Rather than try to separate Saturday night’s action from Sunday’s – personally, the weekend’s all one bloody blur for me – let’s combine the two for a giant look at the good, the bad, and the staph-infected after the TUF 11 Finale and WEC 49.

With the conclusion of competition for the pre-taped portion of season 11 of The Ultimate Fighter, additional matchups for the finale have been released.

Matchups made official include a quartet of bouts all contested by members of the season 11 cast.

Those matches include semifinalist Brad Tavares (4-0) taking on Seth Baczynski (11-5) as well as cast lightning rod Jamie Yager (2-1) competing against Rich Attonito (7-3), who was forced out of the season due to a hand injury.

New Additions to TUF 11 Finale Card Include Bryant vs. Noke, Tavares vs. Baczynski

You already know that Court McGee vs. Kris McCray will be the co-headliner at next Saturday’s TUF 11 Finale show (Spike TV, 9 p.m. ET/PT), and we also told you that Rich Attonito won the "who gets to kick Jamie Yager’s ass" sweepstakes. So …

TUF 11 Finale Ultimate Fighter UFC Hamill Jardine poster

You already know that Court McGee vs. Kris McCray will be the co-headliner at next Saturday’s TUF 11 Finale show (Spike TV, 9 p.m. ET/PT), and we also told you that Rich Attonito won the "who gets to kick Jamie Yager’s ass" sweepstakes. So who else will join them at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas? Spike has confirmed the following bouts for the event…

Josh Bryant vs. Kyle Noke: No, Bryant won’t be facing off with fellow semi-finalist Brad Tavares in a third-place match. Instead, he has drawn Kyle Noke, the Australian veteran who was upset by Kris McCray in the TUF 11 quarterfinals.

Brad Tavares vs. Seth Baczynski: You see what they did there? Tavares and Baczynski get to have a rematch after their quarterfinal match ended abruptly via soccer kick disqualification.
