Sean Strickland’s Controversial Comments Target Kamala Harris Supporters and LGBTQ+ Policies

Surprise! Sean Strickland has controversial opinions on both Kamala Harris and the LGBTQ community.

We know, you’re just as shocked as we are.

As we close in on election night in America, everyone is making the final push to share their generally unwanted opinions on the policies of the current Vice President and ex-POTUS Donald Trump who will look to once again move into the White House after being evicted by the masses in 2020.

True to his outspoken reputation, ‘Tarzan’ made yet another over-the-top claim on social media that targeted the Democratic presidential nominee, her running mate, and the transgender community.

Sean Strickland

“Imagine voting for commie Kamala and a tampon tim and having to explain the world to your kids ‘Well son thanks to me have tampons in the boys bathroom’ ‘Well daughter thanks to me you will be looking a d*cks in the girls locker room’ Y’all gotta live with that shame forever,” Strickland wrote on X.

At this rate, Strickland could probably produce a book made up of all his unhinged posts and sell it to some of his most staunch supporters. In today’s political climate, it would probably end up becoming a New York Times bestseller.

Sean Strickland reminds Khamzat Chimaev who’s next in line

Of course, seeing ’45’ retake the presidential throne isn’t the only thing weighing on Sean Strickland’s mind these days.

Earlier this year, UFC CEO Dana White confirmed that ‘Tarzan’ would be the next man in line to challenge reigning middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis. However, that may no longer be the case after Khamzat Chimaev scored a stunning first-round submission victory over Robert Whittaker at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi.

Sean Strickland

Daniel Cormier recently noted on his YouTube channel that Mick Maynard, one-half of the UFC’s matchmaking team, immediately jumped out of his chair following Chimaev’s win over Whittaker and began speaking with Dana White and senior vice president of talent relations, Sean Shelby.

“[Chimaev] took [Whittaker] down, choked him, and broke his jaw. Broke his jaw with a squeeze from a rear naked choke. It was nuts to see him do that to a guy that once again was [one of the guys] in the generation before him… If you’re Sean Strickland, that result worries you because Mick Maynard sitting right next to me jumps up runs to Dana [White] and they start talking to Hunter [Campbell],” Cormier said. “Then Dana immediately runs over to Chimaev and talks to him. That’s scary to a guy that’s considered the No. 1 contender” (h/t Sportskeeda).

Could the UFC already be conspiring to give Strickland’s spot to Chimaev?

Not if ‘Tarzan’ has anything to say about it.

Sean Strickland

Understand one thing…. I am next in line….. Its been said, its been written… January/February me and @dricusduplessis are scrapping Go back to Chechnya and wait a few months….. wait.. sorry UAE… you’re not allowed in Chechnya…But hey crypto scams while you wait,” Strickland wrote amid the speculation.

Sounds like someone is getting a little nervous.

Michael Bisping UFC 298

Michael Bisping is being both praised and condemned for his use of a homophobic slur during the live UFC 298 broadcast on Saturday night.

The former middleweight world champion joined Joe Rogan and Jon Anik at the commentary table for the promotion’s latest pay-per-view offering in Anaheim, California. By all accounts, the evening went off without a hitch and offered some memorable moments for fans inside the Honda Center and those watching around the world.

However, there was one incident that has fight fans in a furious debate on social media. After delivering a promotional pitch for the main event showdown between Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria, ‘The Cout’ was busted making an anti-gay remark.

What a guy. What a night. UFC 298. Anaheim California. Certainly one for the books,” Bisping said before a long pause. Seemingly unaware that the cameras were still rolling, he added: “What a guy? That’s f*cking gay.”

It’s certainly not the first time the UFC has seen one of its own make anti-LGBTQ comments on camera. Ahead of his UFC 297 title tilt with Dricus Du Plessis, former 185-pound king Sean Strickland went off on a Canadian reporter who questioned ‘Tarzan’ about a series of anti-gay comments he made on X (formerly Twitter). Strickland’s response was pretty much what you’d expect.

UFC Fans React to Michael Bisping’s Commentary Slip-up

Perhaps in a sadly unsurprising twist, Bisping received a heap of support — and even praise — for his ill-time comment once the clip started making the rounds online.

Of course, not everyone was thrilled with Bisping’s anti-gay commentary or the fact that UFC fans — who have been labeled as toxic on more than one occasion — are basking in it.

What is your take on Michael Bisping’s poor choice of words?

Sean Strickland has once again angered the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.

On Saturday, January 20, Strickland is set to defend his 185-pound title for the first time since claiming the crown with a decisive unanimous decision victory over Israel Adesanya last year. Hoping to make Strickland’s first reign a short one is No. 2 ranked contender Dricus Du Plessis.

Ahead of their highly anticipated and all-too-personal clash in the UFC 297 headliner, Sean Strickland has been making the rounds, speaking to members of the press about the impending title tilt and pretty much anything else that pops into his head. During Wednesday’s media scrum in Toronto, one brave reporter decided to question Strickland on his past comments about the gay, lesbian, and transgender communities.

In December 2021, Strickland tweeted, “If I had a gay son I would think I failed as a man to create such weakness.” As the reporter attempted to read back additional posts, Strickland was quick to cut him off and deliver one of his signature diatribes.

“Ten years ago, to be trans was a mental f*cking illness,” Strickland said. “And now, all of a sudden, people like you have f*cking weaseled your way in the world. You are an infection. You are the definition of weakness. Everything that is wrong with the world is because of f*cking you.”

Needless to say, Strickland’s comments didn’t go over well with many fighters and fans, including former UFC title challenger Megan Anderson who offered her take on the middleweight champ’s latest rant.

“I understand from a journalist POV asking these types of qns [questions] and not shying away from thesr topics, etc,” Anderson wrote on X. “However, when you have someone like Sean who is confrontational, at times volatile, and has very polarizing beliefs, maybe don’t give him a platform asking these qns [shrug emoji].”

Over the last year, Strickland has established himself as one of mixed martial arts’ most polarizing figures. Moving forward, he will look to carve out a more substantial legacy for himself as one of the middleweight division’s greatest champions.

That journey begins against a South African knockout artist riding an impressive eight-fight win streak.

UFC Hall of Fame inductee Khabib Nurmagomedov insists there are only two genders: ‘I only see woman and man’

UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov believes there are only two genders.

In recent years, the LGBTQ community has expanded the number of genders that one can identify as, leaving the door open for individuals from all walks of life to become the person they feel like rather than the one their parents assigned to them at birth. Of course, that’s a fairly strange concept for much of the world outside of America to comprehend. Especially those who grew up in or embrace religions largely known for marginalizing individuals who do not adhere to gender norms or engage in less “traditional” relationships.

During a recent Q&A on the PBD Podcast with Patrick Bet-David, Khabib Nurmagomedov was asked about his thoughts on the LGBTQ community, specifically the growing number of genders that seems to be a continuous source for debate.

Unsurprisingly, Nurmagomedov suggested that there are only two genders; man and woman.

“I only see woman and man. There is no between. This is like… It’s crazy,” Nurmagomedov answered. “It’s like, the first time in my life a couple of weeks ago, I was in California. I was in a coffee shop and I was like, ‘I really want to go to the bathroom. Can I go to the bathroom?’ They told me I could and I’m like, two bathrooms. All gender, all gender. It’s like, ‘What is this? Where do I have to go?’

“I stopped there for five seconds like, ‘Where is woman? Where is man?’ I knocked on the door. ‘Anybody inside?’”

Khabib Nurmagomedov Makes His Stance on the Subject Clear

Nurmagomedov’s confusion over the gender-neutral bathrooms earned a laugh from the live crowd, but he made it abundantly clear where he stands on the issue of gender in America.

“I don’t know, brother,” Nurmagomedov continued. “I grew up in a very traditional place with a very traditional family. I am very happy with this. I am from big mountains and we have only two genders.”

As a Muslim, Nurmagomedov’s confusion and downright disdain for non-normative gender roles and relationships is understandable. It’s how he was raised. It’s how he grew up and in many Muslim nations, gay sex is still criminalized, including Qatar where the 2022 FIFA World Cup was held, much to the chagrin of football fans around the world.

In Nurmagomedov’s native Russian, LGBTQ community members are not dubbed as criminals per se, but laws prohibiting LGBTQ propaganda have largely taken away the communities voice for fear of being heavily fined, prosecuted, or worse. Some lawmakers in the country have even sought to pass legislation disallowing same-sex partners from having children and stripping them of the legal custody of children they may already be caring for at the first sign of “homosexual behavior.”

No matter which side of the fence you fall on, Nurmagomedov’s take is far from shocking as the fighter has made similar comments in the past.

UFC flyweight Molly McCann has set her sights on a title venture in 2023, but in the meantime, there is another cause near and dear to the flyweight’s heart.

As a strong supporter of the Rainbow Laces organization, the colored shoelaces have become a fixture for the inclusion of all people regardless of orientation. Molly McCann is a part of the Rainbow Laces team and recently became an ambassador for the LGBTQ part of the sports campaign.

“Meatball” likes to prepare for competition by representing those colored laces. As an MMA fighter who struggled to come out and announce her sexual identity, she believes being an ambassador might help her reach and encourage a wider audience.

“When I was fighting and traveling the world, I thought, ‘how can I show my support in what I’m doing?’ So I put the laces in my boxing gloves, and in my boots if I’m ever wrestling or anything like that.” McCann stated.

“For me, I was running away from who I was for a long time. It was my sport, my coaches and my gym that allowed me to come out.” McCann said.

McCann believes sports should always offer a safe haven for individuals. In her particular situation, “Meatball” credits her MMA team and gym for helping her come out in a positive manner.

“Sport should always be that safe space for someone, whether it’s leaving an abusive home and family life, or whether you’re escaping the reality of who you are.” McCann said.

Despite the obstacles of being an openly out athlete, Molly McCann is determined to make a champion out of herself with the support of the LGBTQ community behind her. As a new ambassador for the Rainbow Laces sports campaign, the Liverpudlian hopes to have a lasting impact on helping LGBTQ communities going forward.

PFL fighter Claressa Shields has shared her opinion on Superman’s son being bisexual in the latest comic book series.

The Flint, Michigan native has made a name for herself in the world of boxing with multiple world titles and an Olympic gold medal. The 26-year-old made her transition into MMA in June against Brittney Elkin. Despite facing early adversity, Shields ended up scoring the TKO finish in the third round.

The new Superman comic book series is set to release on Nov. 9, 2021. According to multiple publications including NPR, The Man of Steel’s son, Jonathan Kent, will come out as bisexual in the pages of Superman: Son of Kal-El #5.

trendfool.com

Since news of Kent’s sexual orientation came to light, many have shared their reactions on social media. Among those to respond to the comic book chaos was one Claressa Shields. The decorated boxing champ fears that the message may be too confusing for children.

“I’m no where near homophobic I just don’t think that cartoon characters should be bi sexual or gay. Leave the kids alone. Don’t push a agenda on children. To me that’s confusing kids. If a teenager or adult decides to be bi or gay, congrats to them. I have no problem with that” Claressa Shields posted.

After her remarks were perceived by a commenter to be homophobic, Shields clarified that she has no problem with anyone who determines themselves to be a part of the LGBT community. Since the target demographic for comics and cartoons is typically a younger audience, some will no doubt share Shields’ fears while others will view them as unwarranted.

Do you agree with Claressa Shields’ stance on keeping LGBT out of comic books and cartoons?
