Logan Paul claims to have been offered a fight with legendary pugilist ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson before his younger brother, Jake Paul, accepted the opportunity.

On Saturday, July 20, the 57-year-old former unified heavyweight champion of the world will return to the boxing ring for a clash with ‘The Problem Child’ live on Netflix. Few details have been revealed — including whether or not the fight will be a professional boxing bout or an exhibition match — but the announcement has proven to be a polarizing one among pundits.

Logan Paul on Tyson vs. Paul

Discussing the news on his IMPAULSIVE podcast alongside his friend and Prime energy drink partner KSI, Logan Paul revealed that he was once offered the chance to fight Mike Tyson, though the terms were much less favorable.

“I was offered (a fight with Mike Tyson) but not for Netflix and not for a big bag of money,” Paul said. “It was like, could this be real because I asked for it. I am sure you have to, ‘Do you think you could beat Mike Tyson?’ My answer is yes. I just think he’s too old; it’s crazy. He’s senile.”

Today, Logan Paul is best known for his work in the world of sports entertainment where he reigns as the current WWE United States champion.

Logan Paul as WWE US Champion

Logan Paul’s last appearance in the squared circle left a lot to be desired

In 2021, the elder Paul competed in an exhibition boxing bout with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, going a full eight rounds with the combat sports icon. Two years later, he would return for a grudge match with former Bellator standout and BJJ specialist Dillon Danis.

The months leading up to the fight were wrought with personal attacks as Danis intensely targeted Paul’s now-wife, Nina Agdal, on social media. The antics ultimately resulted in Danis being sued by Agdal, arguing that he violated federal revenge porn laws by posting a personal and previously unreleased picture of her following a sexual encounter.

Sadly, the fight itself was not nearly as galvanizing as the buildup. Paul won the bout via disqualification in the closing seconds of the sixth round after Danis attempted to wrestle the social media star to the ground.

Paddy Pimblett

Paddy Pimblett simultaneously smashed a sandwich and Logan Paul’s ego.

Though he has five fairly impressive wins inside the Octagon, ‘The Baddy’ is seemingly best known for his ridiculous post-fight food binges that have seen the scouser’s waistline skyrocket shortly after each scrap. Weeks removed from his unanimous decision victory over Tony Ferguson at UFC 296, Pimblett had fight fans genuinely concerned as he had clearly gained an unhealthy amount of weight since the December 16 clash.

However, Pimblett showed absolutely no shame while speaking with Danny Duncan during the latest episode of the Happy Endings podcast. While there, the Liverpudlian downed a delicious-looking sandwich whilst addressing his rivalry with social media sensation Logan Paul.

“If he saw me in person, he’d probably lick me a**, wouldn’t he? He’d want a picture,” Pimblett said of Paul while obnoxiously chewing into the microphone. “I’d fight him tomorrow. He’s only a mushroom, ya know? He’s never had a fighter’s life.”

Logan Paul Dubbed Paddy Pimblett the ‘Next Conor McGregor’

The rivalry between Pimblett and Paul began when the WWE Superstar told Ariel Helwani on an episode of The MMA Hour that if he could have one fight in the UFC, he would want it to be against ‘The Baddy,’ citing him as “the next Conor McGregor.”

Pimblett has since responded to the comment, suggesting that he’d snap Paul’s knee ligament in “12 places,” leaving him “unable to walk.”

“It’s mad,” Pimblett told MMA Junkie. “He called me a clout-chaser years ago. He’s clout-chasing me all the time, mentioning my name. If he ever wants to fight in UFC, he’s more than welcome. I’ll be there waiting for him and we’ll fight.”

While we wouldn’t suggest placing your bets just yet, UFC CEO Dana White has been surprisingly open to the idea of giving Logan Paul a shot in the UFC, should he ever decide to make a serious run at combat sports.

Kamaru Usman Believes Logan and Jake Paul would handle Tristan and Andrew Tate in hypothetical MMA fight

Kamaru Usman believes Logan and Jake Paul would have a decided advantage in a potential MMA showdown with Tristan and Andrew Tate.

While the Paul brothers are best known for their work in the boxing ring, their background in wrestling would likely give them a leg up should the pair ever find themselves in a hypothetical clash with the Tate brothers who have primarily competed in kickboxing.

“If it’s an MMA fight, I think that favors Jake and Logan [Paul] for sure…I mean, they actually wrestled…That’s [kickboxing] actually a disadvantage when it comes to wrestlers,” Usman said during an appearance on the PBD Podcast. “If I catch a kick and you fall down, like, it’s different and it’s a different balance…The civilian human doesn’t realize that it’s an actual skill to be able to get off of your back”

Logan and Jake Paul Continue to Thrive while the Tate Brothers Await Trial in Romania

While it’s fun to theorize about, any variation that would pit a Paul brother against a Tate brother is highly unlikely to happen. Particularly while Tristan and Andrew Tate are currently awaiting trial in Romania on charges of rape, human trafficking, and forming an organized crime group to sexually exploit women. They have vehemently denied all charges.

The Tate brothers were detained in December 2022 and remained in custody until March 2023 when they were placed under house arrest. In June, Andrew Tate and his brother were formally charged.

According to a report from the BBC, the indictment deposited with the Bucharest court says that the Tate brothers along with two other defendants formed an organized criminal group in 2021 to commit human trafficking in Romania, but also in other countries including the U.S. and the UK.

Logan Paul reveals drug test results from Dillon Danis fight I wanna address the steroid allegations

Logan Paul posts his drug tests results after speculation that the American has been taking performance enhancing drugs.

Earlier this month, Logan Paul would defeat Dillon Danis after an extremely ugly and personal build-up. Neither man was particularly impressive and after all the talk of knockouts and pain the pair were underwhelming and produced little action.

Still though, the win will undoubtedly still fuel Paul’s ever-growing ego and belief in his at best, novice, boxing skills.

Logan Paul shares VADA testing results

One attack from Danis during their build up was Pauls’ alleged use of PEDs. Danis is not the only one to accuse the American, fans and experts alike to share the believed that Paul takes some sort of drug.

However, Paul has always refuted any PED accusation and recently release his VADA drug testing results.

“I got my results back from VADA today,” Paul said. “I wanna address the steroids allegations before you see any news. I wanna confess … I have been taking a lot of Prime Energy and putting it in my mouth and then swallowing it. That gives me a good boost for my workouts which makes me have a good physique. (H/T MMA Mania)

The results are negative, haters, you’re gonna have to keep trying. No performance-enhancing drugs, like I said. Good luck next time though, you (expletive) dorks!”

This information is extremely misleading, and Paul knows it. Without consistent and randomized drug testing, these tests can be passed easily – especially with someone who has the resources that Paul has.

Testing agencies often get back positive results on a level far less than can be expected when considering the amount of athletes that are on steroids. The exact amount is disputed, but on a safe estimate of 4% still does not cut it.

Logan Paul denies Dillon Danis a rematch in MMA: ‘He doesn’t deserve the platform’

Logan Paul

If you were hoping to see Logan Paul and Dillon Danis run it back inside a cage, we’ve got bad news for you.

On Saturday, October 14, the pair of social media stars strapped on the eight-ounce gloves for a clash inside Manchester’s AO Arena. After nearly six rounds of lackluster action that saw Danis land a total of 16 strikes, Paul emerged as the winner when Danis was disqualified for attempting a takedown in the waning seconds of the contest.

Looking back on the bout 72 hours later, Logan Paul squashed any hopes of seeing a rematch between the two in mixed martial arts, noting that he initially agreed to it only if Danis surrendered his entire fight purse to him. Of course, with a pending lawsuit and some potentially hefty legal fees looming, we can’t see Danis handing over his paycheck, and neither can Paul.

Logan Paul says Dillon Danis doesn’t deserve a rematch

Aside from that, Paul has no interest in giving Danis another platform to run his mouth and make money.

“I said I would if he gave me his whole purse, which is not going to happen, obviously,” Paul said during the latest episode of the IMPAULSIVE podcast. “He doesn’t deserve the platform. We saw the kind of person he is. I walked into the arena to boos. I left to cheers. No one likes that dirty fight sh*t, bro.

You came to box. Respect the sport. Respect me as an opponent. Back up your words. Are you a man? You can’t talk that much sh*t for three months, you can’t try to ruin someone’s life, and then come in there with that kind of performance” (h/t MMA Fighting).

In the months leading up to their critically panned showdown, Dillon Danis made things as dirty as possible, going after Logan Paul’s fiancee, swimsuit model Nina Agdal. The BJJ specialist posted a plethora of memes, comments, and NSFW images of the Dane online, incessantly trolling her and poking fun at past relationships.

Before long, Agdal decided to fight back, securing a restraining order that prevented Danis from posting any sexually explicit photos of her without permission. She also filed a lawsuit against Danis, claiming that he had violated state and federal ‘revenge porn’ laws during his online onslaught.

With an MMA rematch against Logan Paul no longer in the cards, Danis’ next fight will likely be in the courtroom.

Dillon Danis Banks over a million dollars from Logan Paul fight

Dillon DanisDillon Danis reportedly cleared more than a million dollars for his co-main event clash with Logan Paul in Manchester….

Dillon Danis

Dillon Danis reportedly cleared more than a million dollars for his co-main event clash with Logan Paul in Manchester.

That’s according to the man himself who revealed the number during a recent appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored. During the episode, Morgan presented a check payable to Logan Paul after Dillon Danis had agreed to give up his entire fight purse to the social media star in the event of a loss. Danis then revealed that the number on the check would be “over a million dollars,” giving us our first estimate of just how much money Danis made as part of the Misfits Boxing card.

With their rivalry at a boiling point courtesy of Dillon Danis’ incessant trolling on social media, the two men finally stepped inside the squared circle on Saturday night and delivered what many believe was a disappointing end to an entertaining rivalry. Through six rounds of action, Danis was little more than a punching bag, opting to keep his guard high and eat everything that Paul threw at him.

In the end, Danis threw a total of 16 punches and was ultimately disqualified after attempting to lock in a guillotine choke on Paul in the waning seconds of the final round.

Dillon Danis plans on appealing dQ loss to Logan paul

Even without the disqualification, ring announcer Michael Buffer made it a point to announce that Logan Paul was up on every scorecard through the first five rounds.

However, Danis reportedly plans on appealing the decision, suggesting that Paul should have been disqualified when one of his security team members preemptively entered the ring before the final bell. Paul also took a swing at Danis while the BJJ specialist was on the canvas following his ill-advised attempt to wrestle Paul to the ground.

There was multiple offenses I’ll be submitting my appeal to the commission today,” Danis wrote on X.

Considering he went for two very blatant takedowns during the final round of their boxing match, we can’t see the commission making any kind of reversal, especially for a non-professional bout that could have headlined a Fight Circus event.
