Longtime MMA and UFC fan favorite Brad “One Punch” Pickett was looking for one final win when he met short-notice replacement Marlon “Chito” Vera on the main card of today’s (Sat., March 18, 2017) UFC Fight Night 107 from the O2 Arena in London, England.

But the hometown fighter was unfortunately unable to close out a victory after arguably winning the first two rounds with two takedowns and some solid punches, as Vera took advantage of the massive opportunity by knocking out “One Punch” with a stinging head kick and some follow-up punches after coming out firing in the third and final round.

It was an extremely emotional sendoff for the London-born “One Punch,” who understandably wore the disappointment as he issued a heartfelt thank you to his fans. Watch the riveting knockout in Pickett’s last bout:

There was a mix of high-level action, controversy, and blood when Michael Bisping met longtime former middleweight champion Anderson Silva in the main event of today’s (Sat., February 27, 2016) UFC Fight Night 84 from ‘The Count’s’ backyard from London, England.

Bisping scored a unanimous decision when the dust had settled, but he didn’t do it without looking perhaps the most beaten and bruised he ever has in his long UFC career. Although the brash Brit clearly held the advantage in the first two rounds, ‘The Spider’ turned it on with a ton of huge strikes in the mid-to-late rounds, even seemingly knocking Bisping out with a pinpoint flying knee as the bell sounded on the third round.

But the hometown man won nonetheless, and much of the questionable score could have been up to the fact that Silva failed to engage for much o the fight as he looked for the perfect opportunity to counter. When he did land, however, the results were devastating, and many, including UFC President Dana White, thought he did enough to take the victory.

This one’s going to be talked about for a while. Who do you think should have won the bloody brawl?

Anderson Silva Snubs Michael Bisping At London Face-Off

After two weeks of trash talk and trading barbs in the media, longtime former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and experienced veteran Michael Bisping will battle in the main event of this Saturday’s (February 27, 2016) UFC Fight Night 84 from the O2 Arena in London, England.

Silva has been a more quiet and respectful fighter throughout his illustrious career, but it’s clear that he’s become a bit perturbed at the nonstop trash talk of ‘The Count,’ who has predictably taken endless jabs at Silva’s highly publicized failures for steroids before and after his UFC 183 win over Nick Diaz, which was later changed to a no contest.

Showing a furthered mastery of the English language, Silva mocked Bisping during a recent open workout session in Torrance, California, turning the tables on ‘The Count’ and angering him. That discord continued on into today’s (Thurs., February 25, 2016) staredowns at London’s Tower Bridge, where Bisping continued a nonstop streak of smack that ‘The Spider’ didn’t seem all that impressed by.

In fact, he refused to shake opponent’s hand, instead looking somber and walking off with a simple statement: ‘I’m going to punch you.’ Never one to give up the last word, Bisping continued the words in an interview after the media affair.

Fight week is upon us here at LowKickMMA as UFC Fight Night 84 is set for this upcoming Saturday (February 27, 2016) live on UFC Fight Pass from the O2 Arena in London, England.

The main event features a highly anticipated middleweight showdown between former long-time champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva and divisional mainstay Michael “The Count” Bisping.

It’s no secret that Silva has had his fair share of issues over the last few years, including a winless record since 2012, a gruesome leg injury suffered at UFC 168, and most recently a failed drug test for anabolic steroids after his return at January 2015’s UFC 183.

While these issues have undoubtedly loomed over Silva’s head, he also remains amongst the greatest talents we’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing inside of the Octagon.

Holding the records for most consecutive UFC wins (16), as well as most consecutive title defenses (10), “The Spider” notoriously reigned over the middleweight division for nearly seven years, spanning from 2006-2013.

Apparently at age 40 Silva intends to make one last title run, and while it’s unclear how realistic that may be, his career speaks for itself.

As he gets set to make another walk to the Octagon, let’s take a deeper look into an illustrious career with Anderson Silva’s greatest hits:
