One fighter who made a huge impression on Dana White at UFC Boston was women’s flyweight Maycee Barber.

Barber remained undefeated after a first-round TKO victory over Gillian Robertson on the main card on Friday night. It takes her overall record to 8-0 as she proceeded to call out Paige VanZant afterwards.

“The Future” is 3-0 in the UFC having finished all her opponents so far. At 21, she also hopes to break Jon Jones’ record as the youngest UFC champion in history. And her all-round attitude and confidence has certainly made White a fan:

“She’s a gangster, this girl. I love everything about this girl,” the UFC president said at the post-fight press conference (via BJ Penn). “You should see all these crazy texts she sends me, like all the time, including tonight as soon the fight was over. She started texting me, saying she wants to fight everybody and she wants to do this, and says, ‘I told you, I told you I was going to do this.’

“I love her attitude. I love how bad she wants to be a world champion. I love how she finishes fights. She fought a very tough girl tonight and she stopped her. She looked incredible. She’s fun and it’s going to be fun for all of us and for the fans to watch her grow over the next couple years.”

At this rate, Barber will end up meeting current champion Valentina Shevchenko sooner rather than later. Whether she can beat “The Bullet” is another question, though.

Maycee Barber wants Paige VanZant to be her next opponent — and Ben Askren only sees that potential contest going one way.

Barber remained undefeated following yet another TKO win, this time against Gillian Robertson on the main card of UFC Boston on Friday night. Improving her record to 8-0, “The Future” proceeded to call out VanZant for a fight.

She has called out “12 Gauge” repeatedly in the past and if that fight happens, Askren revealed what his early prediction would be:

“I think @MayceeBarber may ruins @paigevanzant Instagram career if they get in the cage,” Askren tweeted after Barber’s win and subsequent callout of VanZant.

Askren, of course, is biased as they are teammates at Roufussport. As for the reference to Instagram, VanZant claimed she made more money from the social media platform than she does fighting inside the Octagon.

She also only has one fight left on her current deal and Barber spoke last month of how she wished to be VanZant’s final opponent:

“Now she makes more money outside than she does in fighting because she’s not fighting,” Barber said. “As far as her last fight on her contract, that’s my fight. If she wants to fight in Bellator, if she wants to move out, she can fight me on her last fight on her contract, or she can never fight again, and that’s up to her.”

Maycee Barber continued to back up all her statements as she got her third win in the UFC via TKO.

Competing on the main card of UFC Boston, Barber was able to finish Gillian Robertson by overwhelming her with strikes in their women’s flyweight contest.

“The Future” is now 8-0 and clearly put the rest of the division on notice, particularly calling out Paige VanZant for a potential fight in her post-fight interview.

If things continue this way, she may even accomplish her goal of becoming the new youngest UFC champion of all time.
