At the Bellator 163 event on Friday evening, a new Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Champion was crowned.

Former UFC contender Phil Davis defeated Liam McGeary in the main event of Friday’s fight card, which went down at The Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut and aired live on Spike TV.

With the victory, “Mr. Wonderful” improved to a perfect 4-0 under the Bellator MMA banner. Additionally, Davis became the undisputed Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion by handing McGeary his first professional MMA loss via unanimous decision after five rounds. The judges scored the bout 50-43, 50-44 and 50-45, all in favor of Davis.
