How To Defeat Fedor With Fabricio Werdum – Watch more Funny Videos

In the first of a hopefully-ongoing series in which MMA fighters instruct you on how to do things you’ll never actually have the opportunity to do, here’s Strikeforce heavyweight contender Fabricio Werdum taking us through the triangle/armbar he used to defeat Fedor Emelianenko back in June. (Props to Ruben Vera for putting this together.) Despite Werdum’s accent and liberal interpretation of the word "back," the dude seems like a great instructor. If you live near Huntington Beach, why not drop by Kings MMA and say hello?

Usually we only see knockouts this fast when one of the competitors fakes the glove tap or rushes in like an animal/moron. During a bout at last week’s Desert Force Championship 1 — the first MMA event held in Amman, Jordan — the fighters come out normally, touch gloves, and then the knockout victim just kind of hangs out in concussion-range with his hands down. The sound of the impact is just ridiculous. Great show of respect from the winning fighter, who comes back to…kiss the loser’s ankle? Hmm. Well, it’s a different culture and we must not judge.

The MMA Wrap-Up: Post-UFC 124 Edition

Following another dominant effort in another barely competitive title defense at UFC 124, The MMA Wrap-Up returns to look at how this most recent win will alter fans’ perception of UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre. Somewhere in there we also find time to wonder whether finishing fights is really as vital as it’s made out to be, and what makes something an internet meme, anyway?

All that, plus some awkward staring. How could you possibly allow yourself to miss that?
