The fourth episode of the UFC 202 Embedded series dropped earlier today (August 18, 2016) as the event is now just two days away.

Headliner Nate Diaz finished up some of his promotional requirements including photo shoots and autograph signings ahead of his main event rematch with outspoken Irishman Conor McGregor, who worked his grappling and boxing in Las Vegas in hopes of getting the better of Diaz this time around.

The fighters then attended the pre-fight press conference which quickly turned into madness, as Diaz ended up walking out before bottles were thrown between Team Diaz and Team McGregor.

Nate Diaz Says ‘Silly’ Conor McGregor ‘Remembers What Happened Last Time’

Prior to the madness that occurred at today’s (August 17, 2016) UFC 202 press conference in Las Vegas, Nate Diaz actually took the time to answer questions from the media ahead of his massive rematch with 145-pound champion Conor McGregor this Saturday night (August 20, 2016). One question Diaz received regarded McGregor’s prediction that he would knock the Stockton native out in the second round of their rematch. Diaz, however, recalled that McGregor said he would end the first fight in the opening round only to be submitted by Diaz in the second frame.

The younger Diaz brother went on to call McGregor ‘silly’, saying that the Irishman ‘remembers what happened the last fight’:

“That’s what he said last time,” Diaz said about McGregor’s prediction at the UFC 202 pre-fight press conference.  “I think he’s got a lot of people around him and he’s trying to pump himself up. He’s either lying to himself or to go on about his confidence or to make himself believe it but he remembers what happened the last fight.

 “I think it’s a little silly.”

The No. 5-ranked lightweight contender also spoke on McGregor’s personalized private gym in Las Vegas where he has spent the majority of his preparation for the rematch. McGregor decorated his gym with huge portraits of his best moments from the first fight when he was landing big shots on Diaz, something the Stockton native finds a bit strange. Diaz also feels as if McGregor is attempting to ‘hype’ himself up:

“He’s got pictures of me up in his garage of him punching me in the face. What the (expletive)? Who does that?” Diaz stated. “Trying to make yourself believe something. I think he’s trying to hype his own self up.”

Conor vs. Diaz

Many had expected fireworks to transpire at today’s UFC 202 press conference, as the event, which is headlined by a highly-anticipated rematch between bitter rivals Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor, is now just days away, but few had any real idea of what was about to take place. The press conference ultimately began without McGregor as the Irishman was late as he typically is, but when he arrived, mayhem was upon us.

Minutes after the arrival of the “Notorious” one, it was clear that Diaz had had enough, as he got up from his seat and left alongside his team which consists of his brother and UFC veteran Nick Diaz as well as ex-UFC fighter Jake Shields. Cursing and yelling between Team Diaz and Team McGregor followed, and before we knew it, bottles and cans were flying through the air.

Check out McGregor firing a can towards Diaz below courtesy of ESPN’s Brett Okamoto:

In the aftermath of the chaos, Nick Diaz took to social media to accuse McGregor of hitting a kid with a bottle, saying that the Irishman was ‘f*cked up’ (Via MMAJunkie’s Chamatkar Sandhu):

Okamota added to Diaz’s statement, saying that the young girl is the younger sister of someone within the Diaz camp:

What do you make of this insane situation?

With only three days remaining until this weekend’s (Sat., August 20, 2016) UFC 202 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, promotion for the anticipated Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor rematch is about to get ramped up to a new level.

Although the hype for the second fight may not be as feverish as it was for Diaz’s thrilling submission win over “The Notorious” at March’s UFC 196 after the Stockton bad boy replaced Rafael dos Anjos on just 11 days’ notice, the event promises to be one of the highest-grossing UFC pay-per-views of the year.

McGregor’s venomous trash-talking style may be hindered by the fact that Diaz withstood his onslaught and turned the tables by battering and choking him, but that isn’t going to stop the Irish wordsmith from suggesting that he simply ‘took the shots like Homer Simpson’ until McGregor simply couldn’t punch him anymore.

Tune in for what are certain to be more similar gems, and most likely an eventual face-off, in the UFC 202 pre-fight presser starting at 4 p.m. ET:
