Those four top performers on the UFC’s pay-per-view at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., were given post-fight bonuses for their work. UFC president Dana White announced the bonus winners and amount at the post-fight press conference.
The card was without a submission, so White elected to give two knockout bonuses instead – to Schaub and Koch. Barboza and Njokuani won bonuses for Fight of the Night.

Ten days before their co-main event bout at UFC 128, bantamweights Urijah Faber and Eddie Wineland said Wednesday they only have one thing on their minds – a win, then a title shot.
Though all the pieces would appear to be in place for the winner of the fight to possibly get a coaching spot on this fall’s 14th season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” both Faber and Wineland, making their UFC debuts, said they can’t think about that now.
“I don’t know what (the UFC’s) criteria is for that – they seem to change it up a lot,” Faber (24-4, 9-3 WEC) said on a media conference call. “And I haven’t heard anything at all. I feel like this (fight) is a shot to get a title shot, which is most important to me. The reality show thing would be great, but my focus is getting that belt.”

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Despite all the superlatives that have already been hurled his way in just four pro MMA fights, despite a near-constant stream of kudos that comes from training side by side with a former champion, despite all the hype and the buzz, Chris Weidman was still surprised when the UFC called for his services.
Weidman, a Division I All-American wrestler at Hofstra who trains with former UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra and Ray Longo on Long Island, was confident he’d get to The Show some day, but was realistic about it.
“I was definitely a little surprised (when the UFC called),” Weidman told MMA Fighting on Tuesday, two days before his main-card fight against Alessio Sakara at UFC on Versus 3 on Thursday. “I felt like I was always ready, but I just know how it works with MMA. You usually need a couple more fights than I have, especially to get to a main card. But I’m in it, and I’m trying to make the best of the opportunity.”
