UFC welterweight Abdul Razak Alhassan has been indicted on sexual assault charges stemming from his April arrest in Tarrant County, Texas.

*Warning*: the following article contains graphic details regarding an alleged sexual assault.

Star-Telegram reporter Deanna Boyd reported the news on Tuesday (Sept. 25 2018). She added that a grand jury in Tarrant County, Texas, issued the two-count indictment for the fighter on Monday. Alhassan was arrested in April regarding these charges and is currently free on $20,000 bail.

Alhassan has been accused of raping two women inside their homes. Boyd reported that Alhassan allegedly drove both intoxicated women home from a bar in March. The UFC fighter allegedly committed the sexual assaults in the women’s home.

One of the victims told investigators that she was far too inebriated to remember anything from that night. However, the other women said she remembered Alhassan raping her and then raping her friend.

Alhassan’s attorney filed a motion to modify the bond conditions so that he could continue to train and compete at UFC 228. A judge granted the fighter his request, in so allowing Alhassan to remove his GPS monitor and leave Tarrant County.

Because of the special conditions granted to Alhassan, he was able to fight at UFC 228 where he demolished Niko Price in the first round.

Alhassan’s stock was on the rise prior to these allegations. It remains to be seen just how these charges will play out. but it doesn’t look good for the native Ghanaian right now.

Niko Price delivered one of the more memorable knockouts in recent UFC history this Saturday night (July, 14th 2018) to a sold-out crowd at the CenturyLink Arena in Boise, ID.

Price improved to 12-1 after pummeling Randy Brown during their FS1 main card bout. The long-limbed Price looked to have Brown tied up in a heel hook or ankle lock, but the crafty veteran would use his positioning to deliver some powerful hammerfists off his back to the chin of a helpless Brown.

In doing so, he rapidly and brutally stopped the welterweight contest and earned a well-deserved $50,000 bonus.

Check out the fight-ending hammerfists from the bottom position below:

Price was overjoyed during his post-fight interview with Jimmy Smith and reminded the rest of the welterweights that he is, in fact, a fight finisher after the impressive win.

“I’m trying to knock you out every time – every time I touch your face, man,” Price told MMAjunkie after the fight. “I just kept hitting him, and he went out with the first one.”

“I happened to be able to get like a good extension. And then I just drove through, and when I hit him, his eyes just rolled.”

The rangy welterweight would alert referee Herb Dean that Brown was unconscious after the very first hammerfist, and Dean ended the fight. Price is now 2-0 inside the UFC and would like to return to the octagon as soon as possible, after all its about making each other better in the cage Price said.

“The last couple, I didn’t really hit him too hard because he was already out,” Price explained. “I’m not trying to ruin their careers. We’re here to make each other better and be great fighters and be awesome.”

Price is hoping for a quick turnaround and a potential match-up with a top 15-ranked opponent next.

Rising welterweight Niko Price set yet another UFC milestone at tonight’s (Sat., July 14, 2018) UFC Fight Night 133 from the CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho.

Following Cat Zingano’s UFC record for most takedowns at women’s bantamweight in her first win since 2014 and Chad Mendes’ triumphant return for his first since 2015, Price rebounded from his first taste of defeat by scoring another first in Boise when he finished Randy Brown with a knockout no one had ever seen before.

After a back-and-forth first round featuring good ground work from Price and some huge shots from Brown, Price pulled the only UFC win using hammerfists from the bottom out of his bag of tricks in the second when it looked like he was trying to wrap Brown’s up for a leglock. Needless to say, it was quite the amazing knockout.
