Bleacher Report’s Tim McTiernan:

UFC 130 is coming up this Saturday, and although it doesn’t have a marquee main event, this is still a card that should not be overlooked.

All 10 fights will be broadcast, and five of them will be free. The first three fights on the card will be featured on Facebook, the next two on Spike TV and the final five will be on the PPV.

UFC 130 did lose its original main event, which took away a good deal of luster from what was looking to be a very strong card.

In light of that, Rampage Jackson vs. Matt Hamill was moved up to the main event, and Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story was moved to the main card.

So although many people are overlooking this card, every main card fight has the chance to be a highlight reel knockout, submission or just a damn good fight.

And you may be looking to make some money on that.

If so, then here are the odds and predictions for the main card of UFC 130.

UFC 130 FIght Card: Michael McDonald vs. Chris Cariaso Preview

UFC 130 is set to take place on Saturday, May 28 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event on the card will feature a light heavyweight battle between former UFC champion  Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Matt Hamill. The co-main event will be a heavyweight showdown between two highly ranked fighters, former UFC champion Frank Mir and Roy “Big Country” Nelson.

Michael McDonald (12-1) will meet Chris Cariaso (11-2) in a bantamweight bout on the undercard of UFC 130.

The 21-year-old McDonald made his UFC debut on the UFC Fight Night Nogueira vs. Davis card in March of this year, capturing Fight of the Night honors while defeating Edwin Figueroa via unanimous decision. It was the first time in his career that he ever went to decision

McDonald’s only loss came to Cole Escovedo in 2009, a TKO loss he later avenged with a KO of his own, capturing the Tachi Palace Fights Bantamweight title in the process.

Despite being lauded as a rising star in the UFC’s bantamweight division, McDonald is happy to take the slow road toward the top, “I’m very real about realizing my age and I have a long way to go until I’m at my best. I think I’m definitely good enough to hang with the top level of competition in the world, but still in all reality, I’m 20 years old and I’ve got a long ways to go,” McDonald told MMAWeekly Radio following his win over Figueroa.

Cariaso, is coming off a unanimous decision win over Will Campuzano on the Fight for the Troops 2 card. Prior to that fight, Cariaso told MMAWeekly that in the past, “I just wasn’t as focused as I should have been. I just had a new baby, my life was everywhere. I kind of changed some things up in my personal life that will allow me to be more focused during fights and make the UFC my number one priority.”

Cariaso continued, “My goal this year is to hopefully get in three fights and get myself into the top 10 of the bantamweight division.”

The fight with McDonald will be his second fight in 2011 and while a win over McDonald will most likely not launch him into the top 10, it should allow for a fairly healthy jump within the division.

Bleacher Report’s JP Smith Writes:

UFC 130: Rampage vs. Hamill is only four days away as it is scheduled to take place on May 28, 2011, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas this Saturday night.

With the originally scheduled rubber match between UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard canceled due to injuries sustained by both fighters during training, the co-main event between Quinton Jackson and Matt Hamill has been pushed up to the main event, which still leaves us with a very impressive undercard.

One of the more controversial undercard fights and one of my personal favorite matchups is Brian Stann vs. former UFC fighter, Jorge Santiago.

Stann, the former U.S. Marine Captain whose military actions have been noted by President Bush, is coming off of a huge KO victory over UFC middleweight, Chris Leben.

While many big names were being thrown around as possible next opponents for Stann, one of which was Wanderlei Silva, the UFC matchmaker, Joe Silva and UFC President, Dana White chose an unlikely opponent to face Stann at UFC 130.

UFC 130 is just around the corner and is set to take place without a big-name battle.

But even without the added hype of Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard for the lightweight title, UFC 130 still has some battles left to be seen.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is getting close to having a shot at the light heavyweight title and could be set back with a loss to underdog, Matt Hamill.

Also, a battle between Frank Mir and Roy Nelson is set to take place that could help catapult either fighter further into the world heavyweight rankings.

UFC 130 also features top 10 middleweight, Jorge Santiago, who will be making his second stint in the UFC. Rick Story will be facing one of the top ranked welterweights in the world, Thiago Alves.

All in all UFC 130 could be a sleeper card.

UFC 134 Fight Card: Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okami, Early Head-to-Toe Breakdown

Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami first squared off at the now-famous January 2006 Rumble on the Rock tournament that featured Jake Shields, Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit as well. Their first encounter ended in a controversial disqualification win for Okami when Silva threw an illegal upkick while Yushin was down.

We will probably never know why it happened. Did Anderson not understand the rules? Did he do it on accident thinking the Pride rule system was being used? We may never know exactly what was going through his head on that day.

Either way, this fight marked the last loss for UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and it is one that he wants back.

Silva has more of a reason than usual to train hard. Fighters yearn to avenge their losses to prove they are the better man indeed. Silva is even more motivated due to the fact that he feels Okami could have continued in their first fight and chose to take the easy way out.

And if there’s one thing I know, an angry Anderson Silva is a scary man.
