Oscar Bait: ‘Brokeback Mounch’, Starring Renato Laranja and Josh Barnett [VIDEO]

(Props: Flixpoint TV)

After doing a surprisingly solid Robert De Niro impression in his Heat parody with Kenny Florian, 27-time Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Renato Laranja further flexes his dramatic chops in “Brokeback Mounch,” which kicks off the latest episode of the Renato Laranja Show. Laranja’s co-star this time is Josh Barnett, aka the heavyweight Heath Ledger. The sexual tension is unbearable. Start your week off the right way and give it a look. (There’s also a long interview with Chris Leben afterwards, if you’re interested. Laranja starts the segment by congratulating Leben for being an inspiration to cripples everywhere. I LOL’d.)

Related: The Renato Laranja Rocky III parody — “Hocky III,” obviously — with Cris Cyborg as Adrian. Yeah, like you’re not gonna click on that.

Kenny Florian and Renato Laranja’s ‘Heat’ Parody Will Make You LOL Hard, Guaranteed

This settles it: Kenny Florian does the best Al Pacino impression in the world (among retired UFC fighters). Also, if Robert Downey Jr. can get an Oscar nomination for playing an Australian guy playing a black guy, then Rhasaan Orange at least deserves a Webby for playing a Brazilian guy playing Robert De Niro.

The rest of the Renato Laranja Show: Episode 1 is brilliant as well — “Are you a chicken farmer? Because you raised my cock. Porra.” — but honestly, that Heat parody needs to be a full-length movie, with Roy Nelson in the Val Kilmer role.

Backstage Interview: Renato Laranja, The Unofficial Rabbi of Metamoris 2 [VIDEO]

(Props: YouTube.com/CagePotato)

While attending the Metamoris 2 pro jiu-jitsu invitational in Los Angeles on Sunday, CagePotato reporter Elias Cepeda had a backstage run-in with 27-time BJJ World Champion Renato Laranja, who gave his thoughts — if you can call them that — about Rickson Gracie, “poonchang,” Eddie Bravo’s facial hair, somebody named Señor Aoki, and how Andre Galvao vs. Rafael Lovato Jr. looked like two guys fighting for the covers in bed. It’s a moral victory for Elias, just for surviving to the end.

Renato Laranja Tries to Spit Game at Ronda Rousey, Crashes and Burns in Humiliating Fashion [VIDEO]

(Props: twistereddie)

– Singing an R. Kelly love-jam in a thick Portuguese accent while your crush is getting out of the shower? EHHHHH!

– Bragging about your movie/pilot Return of the Death-Knuckle, then humbly following it up with “but you don’t wanna get bored with how much money I’m gonna make, that stuffs, how much fame gonna have for me and for the ladies in my life”? NOOOOOOOOO!

– Desperately offering to give her your “code for MySpace’ee” as she walks away, then beating your head against a wall? Fail upon fail.

Keep your head up, Laranja. There’s other fish in the sea

Video: Watch Renato Laranja Make Vinny Magalhaes Very Uncomfortable

(Video courtesy of YouTube/TwisterEddie)

Renato Laranja is back with another one of his instant classic interviews. This time around our hero sits down with M-1 light heavyweight champion Vinny Magalhaes and the interview goes well until the former TUF 8 finalist starts to get a gay vibe from the 27-time Mundials champion. Magalhaes accuses Laranja of becoming “weird” since he moved to the U.S. and hints that he may have picked up some homosexual tendencies — not that there’s anything wrong with that, right Vinny?

First Big Nog’ and now Vinny. What’s next? Is Anderson going to stop wearing pink shirts and dancing with Justin Bieber?

Renato has some assumptions of his own, backed by hard science.

“It take a one to know one. I’m rubber and you’re glue whatever you say for me, the same go for you. I know that you know that I know that you know.”

He then reveals that Magalhaes should perhaps be questioning his own sexuality and not others.

“You’re the one who influenced me to light some candles and if was not for me you would have me put some incense. Vinny Magalhaes, you asked me to put some Keith Sweat and that girl take away the [sound] system so I can’t play. What was gonna happen? Then next comes some champagne. I’m hip to your game.”

For an extra bonus, go back to the beginning of the vid and watch Matt Horwich explain why he had to choke out a drunken friend on a recent trip back to Oregon.
