Pushing forward with a second consecutive headliner, the UFC field a pivotal division clash between kickboxing ace, the heavy-hitting talent, Jairzinho ‘Bigi Boy’ Rozenstruik and dynamic French uber-prospect, Ciryl ‘Bon Gamin’ Gane in a mouth-watering matchup.
Both coming off statement knockout victories over former undisputed heavyweight champion, Junior dos Santos — Rozenstruik rebounded from a May knockout defeat to incoming title challenger, Francis Ngannou to stop the Brazilian at UFC 250 in June — with second round strikes.
Improving his undefeated professional record to 7-0, Fernand Lopez product and MMA Factory mainstay, Gane stuck a massive elbow to stop dos Santos also in the second round — moving to 4-0 under the UFC’s banner.
In an important light heavyweight matchup, former Fight Nights Global titleholder, Nikita Krylov makes his Octgon return as he draws the highly-touted, Magomed Ankalaev in an important clash for the light heavyweight landscape.
Ukrainian finisher, Krylov has notched a whopping fifteen submission wins, as well as a further ten knockout stoppages — most recently taking his first career decision victory in a UFC Fight Night Brasilia judging win over Johnny Walker last March.
Removing any doubt surrounding his first knockout win over Ion Cutelaba at UFC Fight Night Norfolk last February, Ankalaev moved to 2-0 against the Romanian via a late first frame stoppage at UFC 254 last October on ‘Fight Island’ — moving to 14-1 as a professional and extending his promotional-streak to five-fights.

LowKick MMA will be bringing you UFC Vegas 19: Blaydes vs. Lewis results throughout the afternoon (Sun. 20th. February 2021) from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Rescheduled for tonight’s main event, heavyweight contenders, Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis finally square off following the cancellation of their first attempted pairing back in November at UFC Vegas 15 amid a positive COVID-19 test result from the former.
Hoping to continue on his quest to his premier promotional title challenge, Lewis, like Blaydes headlines his second event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas — following his June unanimous decision victory over the recent feature, Alexander Volkov.
For New Orleans favourite, Lewis, a victory over the #2 ranked Blaydes would surely guarantee him his second title challenge under the UFC’s banner. Featuring in August of last year in a main event slot against common-foe, Aleksei Olienik, Lewis became the most prolific knockout artist in the history of the UFC’s heavyweight division, notching his eleventh stoppage via strikes.
In a co-main event matchup, Brazilian striker, Ketlen Vieira is rebooked to match with former Invicta FC bantamweight champion and one-time UFC featherweight title challenger, Yana Kunitskaya. Tipping the bantamweight scales at yesterday’s weigh-ins, Vieira was fined twenty percent of her fight purse, with the matchup proceeding at a 138-pound catchweight limit.
Manaus native, Vieira returned to the Octagon following her first promotional loss back in December of 2019 — taking a unanimous decision victory over Sijara Eubanks at UFC 252 last September.
Also returning to the win-column following a knockout loss of her own, Kunitskaya managed a unanimous judging win of her own against Julija Stoliarenko at UFC Vegas 6 in August.

LowKick MMA will be bringing you UFC 258: Usman vs. Burns results throughout the afternoon (Sun. 14th. February 2021) from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.
One-time teammates now turned opposition. Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns once ruled the training room of Sanford MMA under Henri Hooft in South Florida. Tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada — Usman attempts to knock back the famaliar face, hopeful of dethroning a former training partner as Burns sets sights on becoming the first Brazilian in promotional antiquity to lay claim to the welterweight championship.
Unmatched at welterweight and riding a twelve-fight undefeated run into his thirteenth promotional walk tonight, Usman has lodged two successful defences against concievably, the most dangerous threats to his reign. Dispatching rival, Colby Covington at UFC 245 at the tail end of 2019, Usman took out Jorge Masvidal over five rounds last summer on ‘Fight Island’. As the contenders continue to pile up, so do the challengers. Burns presents, as per Usman, his sternest test as champion to date — and it’s difficult to disagree with the incumbent best.
Undefeated in his last four welterweight appearances since moving back to 170-pounds back in 2019 — the massively over-sized former lightweight bedded into his new weight class with a couple of judging wins over the touted, Alexander Kunchenko, and the mainstay, Gunnar Nelson.
Returning to Brasilia last March, Burns announced himself clearly to the division via an opening round knockout over compatriot and former title challenger, Demian Maia. Stamping his credentials as a bonafide title chaser, the four-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world championship gold medalist made lightwork of former champion, Tyron Woodley on his way to a unanimous decision victory in May.
Drafted into a co-main event slot on short-notice, technical boxer, Alexa Grasso looks to continue her purple-patch and make it two flyweight win in two as she draws the returning, record-chasing, Maycee Barber.
Taking out Ji Yeon Kim after a decision setback against former champion, Carla Esparza, Guadalajara native, Grasso successfully landed at 125-pounds after a skewed strawweight weight cut forced her from a matchup against former title challenger, Claudia Gadelha on the same card as Barber’s first professional loss.
Fast-tracked to the big-time, Barber suffered a major ACL tear at UFC 246 back in January of 2020 in her would-be breakout performance against veteran fan-favourite, Roxanne Modafferi. Dropping a unanimous decision to the Delaware pioneer, Barber has spent the last year recuperating and hopes to reignite the drive to become the promotion’s youngest ever champion — dislodging two-time light heavyweight best, Jon Jones.
