UFC 127 PosterThe latest Ultimate Fighting Championship is underway from Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia.

UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch kicks off the promotions second ever visit “Down Under” and features a main event welterweight bout between BJ Penn vs. Jon Fitch. The co-main event has middleweights Michael “The Count” Bisping taking on Jorge Rivera.

The pay per view card kicks off at 10PM EST (7PM PST/Sunday afternoon in Australia) and also features five free preliminary fights that fans can tune into.

Fans can watch Anthony Perosh vs. Tom Blackledge and Zhang Tie Quan vs. Jason Reinhardt on Facebook.com/UFC beginning at 8PM EST (5PM PST).

And then at 9PM EST (6PM PST) fans can watch Nick Ring vs. Riki Fukuda, James Te-Huna vs. Alexander Gustafsson, and Ross Pearson vs. Spencer Fisher on Television.

This event will be aired live at 9pm on the UK TV channel SyFy, on the 26th of February as part of a new tv deal. BAMMA 5 will also broadcast live around the world on www.bammatv.com as an online stream pay per view for $10, a first for the organization. Which kicks off this afternoon in North America at 4PM EST (1PM PST).

The live main card features four bouts including a welterweight match between Paul “Semtex” Daley vs. DEEP champion Yuya Shirai, and a 215 lb catchweight match between former UFC champ Ricco Rodrguez vs. “TUF 10″ heavyweight James McSweeney.

MMA Fighting has MFC 28 results of Ryan Jimmo vs. Dwayne Lewis and the rest of the Maximum Fighting Championship main card taking place at the River Cree Resort and Casino near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

In the main event, Lewis and Jimmo will battle for the MFC light heavyweight title. Also on the card are former UFC fighters Matt Veach, Drew Fickett, Richie Whitson (TUF 9) and Rodney Wallace.

MFC 28 posterTonight the Maximum Fighting Championship kicks off it’s first event of 2011 with MFC 28: Supremacy from the River Cree Resort & Casino near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. HDNet will carry the main card live on their network beginning at 10 PM EST (7PM PST).

The MMA News will be on hand updating the card live from ringside. You can catch my Tweets @TheMMANews for the evening as I post updates before the HDNet broadcast as well as anything the cameras may have missed.

The entire card consists if eight bouts with five making the television broadcast.

Headlining the event is a MFC light heavyweight championship bout between the promotions top contenders Ryan Jimmo and Dwayne Lewis. The co-main event sees a 160 lb catchweight matchup between Drew Fickett and Matt Veach.
