Media streaming platform, Rumble, has made a written offer to UFC color commentator, comedian, and podcaster, Joe Rogan to take his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience to their platform exclusively, offering the host a contract worth $100 million over a period of four years.

Rogan, who penned an exclusive deal with Rumble’s rival platform, Spotify back in May 2020 worth a reported $100 million, has received major criticism over the course of the last number of weeks, including accusations that his podcast was promoting and sharing “dangerous misinformation” regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination.

And last week, a video compilation showed no less than 23 separate instances in which Rogan had used the n-word both on his podcast, and during comedy sets, leading to mass outrage, and a video from Rogan who addressed the issue, maintaining he had “f*cked up”, but also explaining how many of the clips involved in the video had been taken out of context.

Joe Rogan notably received backing and support from both past and present MMA fighters following his comments

In response to the outrage, Spotify chief executive, Daniel Ek released a statement addressing Rogan’s comments and the accusations levelled at his podcast, commending Rogan’s words, but insisted the believed silencing Rogan at this time was not the right answer.

“While I strongly condemn what Joe has said and I agree with his decision to remove past episodes from our platform, I realize some will want more,” Ek said in the note. “And I want to make one point very clear – I do not believe that silencing Joe is the answer.”

However, Rogan has since received an offer from Rumble CEO, Chris Pavloski, who claimed that platform stood with him, and offered him an exclusive contract worth $100 million over the course of four years, promising “no censorship”.

“Dear Joe (Rogan), We stand with you, your guests, and your legion of fans in desire for real conversation,” Pavlovski’s post read on Twitter. “So we’d like to offer you 100 million reasons to make the world a better place. How about you bring all your shows to Rumble, both old and new, with no censorship, for 100 million bucks over four years? This is our chance to save the world. And yes, this is totally legit. Sincerely, Chris Pavloski, CEO.”

Anthony Johnson Talks UFC Return At BKFC 12 Press Conference

Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson is finally making his return to the UFC octagon after over three years away, despite how he feels about fighters not knowing when to walk away. Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson is finally making his return to the UFC octagon after over three years away, despite how he feels about fighters not knowing when to walk away. The former two-time UFC light-heavyweight title challenger retired after his second defeat to Daniel Cormier at UFC 210 in April of 2017.

Since retiring, Johnson began bodybuilding, and not long after became an ambassador for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). But now he’s got the itch again, and at 36-years-old, he doesn’t have much time left to make a comeback. More or less, now’s the perfect time.

The one very unfortunate thing about this however, Jon Jones announced he’s vacating his UFC Light-Heavyweight Championship, and that’s one dream fight we never got to see.

‘Rumble’ was supposed to face Jones for the title at UFC 187 in May of 2015, but this was one of the many times Jones got suspended, and he ended up facing Daniel Cormier instead. We’ve seen twice that Cormier’s the better man, but he’s not around anymore either, and Johnson’s the scariest light-heavyweight this sport has seen.

That doesn’t mean he’s the most technical or best fighter out there, but the pure raw power he possesses is truly scary. Of his 22 wins, he has 16 knockouts and six decisions, and ten of those knockout wins were KO’s. Better yet, he went 6-2 in his recent return to the UFC and scored five knockouts with four KO’s then, with the only TKO being over Alexander Gustafsson.

His manager, Ali Abdelaziz announced that he’s back in the USADA testing pool, which means he’ll be eligible to compete soon.

If he can come back at his best, it’s going to be incredibly exciting to see what happens, the 205 lb division is thriving beautifully right now. When asked at the BKFC 12 press conference earlier today why now is the right time to return to the UFC, ‘Rumble’ had the following to say on the matter:

“Honestly, I missed the sport, you know what I mean? I missed the sport, I miss competing. So I knew at one point, I was against guys coming back from retirement. You know, you usually see them get mopped up. You know, BJ Penn came back and got mopped up. I’ve seen everybody that came back out of retirement get mopped up.

“I just don’t wanna be one of those guys that gets mopped up, but I still feel good, I have no injuries. While I was in the UFC, I didn’t really get hit much unless I lost, and that wasn’t often. But, you never know. You know, I got a couple more fights on my contract with the UFC, and then after that you know, I may fight for Dave (Feldman).”

Who would you like to see ‘Rumble’ fight upon returning to the octagon?

Former light heavyweight title challenger Anthony “Rumble” Johnson won’t rule out a return to the octagon if the price is right.

Johnson hasn’t competed in MMA since suffering a second-round submission defeat at the hands of the current two-division champ Daniel Cormier at UFC 210 back in April of 2017. “Rumble” would retire from MMA after losing to Cormier on that night, perplexing fans and media members alike.

Johnson, instead, turned his focus to the medical cannabis industry. He has also been hitting the weights like a man possessed.

Despite that, don’t rule out a “Rumble” return to the octagon.

“No I cannot say that. Never say never. If the right opportunity comes along, I will jump on it,” he said on a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani MMA Show. “You know I am obviously not afraid to fight anybody. So if that happens and the price is right, you know sometimes people be cheap. So treat me right and I will definitely treat you right and go and give you the performance of a lifetime.”

Johnson added that if he ever did make a return to action, he would do so with the UFC. Although he meant no disrespect to Bellator and the like.

For now, as it appears, Johnson will stay at home in the weight room where he has added considerable muscle mass. If he can find the time, he would like to compete in a classic physique show down the line.

Just a hunch, if “Rumble” does return to action, he may do so at heavyweight. Given his newly acquired muscle mass “Rumble” may have a hard time making the light heavyweight limit.

Let us know what you think. Will “Rumble” Johnson return to action inside the octagon? And if so, what division will he most likely fight in?

Legendary but troubled former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is awaiting the resolution of his failed USADA drug test in connection with his UFC 214 knockout victory over rival Daniel Cormier.

Jones has teased a pending return on social media quite often lately, making fans believe that a pending “Bones” fight could be on the horizon much sooner than his sordid history with performance-enhancing drugs would suggest.

That’s all speculation at this point, however, as Jones’ punishment could absolutely reach as high as four years because it’s his second offense. He’s also had repeated trouble with both cocaine and drinking and driving, making any return for “Bones” tentative speculation at the very best.

It won’t stop Jones from hoping for the best, of course, and in anticipation of his umpteenth comeback, he’s seemingly making more public appearances. Such was the case at this weekend’s Gatt Supplements expo in Las Vegas this weekend. There, Jones came face-to-face with an opponent he missed out on fighting when he was champion in two-time title contender Anthony “Rumble” Johnson:

Johnson retired from mixed martial arts after his second loss to Cormier at April 2017’s UFC 210. He’s since been seen becoming more focused on bodybuilding, and the results are not only jaw-dropping but also enough to prompt many to speculate that ‘Rumble’s’ been on some “supplements” of his own.

He isn’t being tested by USADA like Jones is, even if they haven’t exactly been knocking his door down this year. Regardless, the controversial great has an uncanny knack to come back from peril that would seemingly damn most other fighters. There was even a rumor that USADA had accepted a bribe to resolve “Bones’” case.

Let’s just hope we find out what will happen to Jones before a lengthy suspension period ends.

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson has always been a physically imposing figure, but now that he’s started a weightlifting regimen, he’s looking absolutely massive.

Rumble has been on a bit of a hiatus from MMA after retiring following his second loss to light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier but has since stated his intention to return to the sport, perhaps at heavyweight.

Check out Rumble’s Instagram post of him hitting the weights with a trainer while looking ridiculously swole.

As you can see, Johnson’s physical transformation will suit him well should he opt to move up to heavyweight, where he holds a victory over Andrei Arlovski under the WSOF banner back in 2013.

It’s incredible to think he used to compete at 170 pounds.
