Jake Paul has issued a unique bet to Tommy Fury after his half-brother, Tyson Fury’s recent comments.

On Wednesday ahead of Fury’s heavyweight title defense against Deontay Wilder, he was asked about Tommy possibly boxing Paul. It’s an intriguing matchup and Fury made it clear his half-brother better win or else he’d retire him from boxing.

“His name’s Fury,” said Tyson Fury during an interview with Boxing Social. “If he can’t beat Jake Paul, I’ll have to change his name… If Tommy can’t splatter Jake Paul, I’ll retire him from boxing myself. He’s got ambitions of being a world champion, never mind beating some YouTube guy.”

To no surprise, Paul heard of those comments and now issued a bet to Tommy Fury after Tyson’s comments.

“The Bet: Since Tyson Fury says if Tommy loses to me he will make him change his last name.. So then @tommytntfury if you beat me I will pay you an extra $500k. However, if I beat you then you have to change your name to Tommy Fumbles for 1 year.”

The bet is an interesting twist and it’s not the first time Paul has issued bets to his opponent. He offered Ben Askren that if Askren won, he would double his purse but if he lost, Askren would donate his purse to Paul’s charity of choice. “Funky” never took it but in his next fight, Paul made the tattoo bet with Tyron Woodley which was accepted and Woodley did get the tattoo.

As of right now, Tommy Fury has not responded to Jake Paul’s bet. Whether or not he takes it is uncertain, but the hope is regardless of the bet or not, the fight between Fury and Paul happens next. The fight has not been agreed to but Fury did say on Wednesday they are in negotiations and he wants it to happen in December.

Tommy Fury is aware of Jake Paul’s final offer and he’s having a good laugh about it.

Fury and Paul have taken verbal jabs at one another for the past few months. Fury has insisted that Paul isn’t a real fighter. Paul has tried to make things personal by claiming that Fury’s girlfriend slid in his DMs.

Paul has claimed that Fury turned down two fight offers. He hopped on Twitter with one final offer for Fury, using Dillon Danis as a cautionary tale.

Fury has admitted that he did turn down two offers because he felt they were a joke. As far as Paul’s latest video is concerned, Fury said the following (h/t BoxingScene.com).

“To everybody out there, $1 million for a fight of this magnitude is not even worth getting out of bed for. This fight is going to gross millions and millions of pounds. I cannot walk down the street without anybody asking me when are you fighting Jake Paul, so until you want to make a serious offer and put it on the table, we can’t think about fighting, pal.”

Fury was featured on the same card that was headlined by Paul vs. Tyron Woodley. Fury took on Anthony Taylor and won the fight via unanimous decision. Many believed that Fury’s performance was lackluster. Tommy Fury, himself, admitted that he didn’t have the strongest showing.

Paul isn’t short on options as far as his next opponent is concerned. He could go with Woodley, who is prepared to get an “I Love Jake Paul” tattoo just to get a rematch. Jorge Masvidal has been calling for a fight, although it’s unlikely due to his UFC contract.

Fury and Paul appear to be on a collision course. The only question at this point is, can a deal be made?

Jake Paul has sent a final message to Tommy Fury to take the fight.

After Paul and Fury both won on the same Showtime boxing card in Cleveland, many thought that would be the next fight. Since then, however, it appears talks have stalled as Paul came out and said Fury turned him down twice and gave him a $1 million final offer.

To no surprise, Fury responded and made it clear $1 million was not enough money for this magnitude of a fight. Yet, Jake Paul says he is giving Fury the biggest purse of his career so he’s not sure why the Englishman isn’t making the fight.

“This is the last time I’m speaking about this guy if we don’t end up fighting because I’m starting to get pissed off,” Jake Paul said in a video he released on social media. “Tommy Fury’s about to fumble the biggest bag of his life. Tommy, I made you famous. I gave you the biggest payday of your life. You came to the US, got your US debut for your dream to come true. I gave you a chance to shine in front of the whole entire world, and now I’m offering to quadruple the biggest payday of your life that I gave you to fight.

“For everyone at home, this is what happens when you give someone clout and you give them an ego,” Paul continued. “They start to think they’re better than they actually are. I have dozens of other fighters calling me out every single week, Tommy. You’re replaceable. It’s the same thing that I told Dillon Danis in our DMs.”

Paul continued with his final message to Fury to accept the fight and showed him how Dillon Danis did the same thing asking for money and lost the chance to box the brash YouTuber-turned-boxer.

Although Fury is not the biggest boxing star, Paul says it’s the fight he wants and he hopes the Brit accepts the fight.

“I told Dillon there was definitely potential in negotiating up to $1 million. And if I have to some of my own purse to get this done, I will,” Paul said. “I told Dillon, ‘I personally want to fight you the most but A, If you don’t take it right now, the odds of us fighting in the future are very slim; and B, obviously, this is the biggest fight you will most likely ever see; and C, we have other offers out there, so you need to make an offer in less than 72 hours.’

“Dillon fumbled his bag. He didn’t want to fight. And guess what? I am never gonna fight Dillon Danis ever. He missed the biggest opportunity of his life. He thought I was joking around. And now, Dillon Danis is in jail. Tommy, do you want to end up in jail? Take the fight, Tommy,” Paul concluded.

Whether or not Fury will respond to Paul’s final message is uncertain. However, it does appear that time is running out to make the fight.

According to the YouTube star-turned boxer Jake Paul, Tommy Fury has denied two “abundant offers” to fight.

Jake Paul is turning up the heat and issuing a third and final offer to the 7-0 boxer. The two were linked to fighting each other after the blockbuster Aug. 29 Showtime event between Paul and former UFC champion Tyron Woodley featured Fury on the undercard.

On fight night, Paul was rocked in the fourth round against Woodley, but the “Problem Child” controlled the tempo for most of the fight and won by split decision victory. Overall, the Showtime boxing card was a success having tipped the scales with a promising estimate of 480,000-500,000 PPV buys. In the undercard, Tommy Fury outpointed the 7-5 MMA fighter Anthony Taylor to a unanimous decision victory.

The patience of Paul appears to be wearing thin as he insists that Fury take the fight. Paul has been criticized for not having faced “real” boxers and is looking to erase that sentiment by defeating Fury in his fifth boxing fight to date.

“Tommy ‘Fury’ has denied 2 abundant offers from my team. Timmy “Fury”…. this is your last offer… $1 million, 8 rounds. 4x more than you have ever made. Either step up and fight OR accept that you and your Dad don’t believe in you @tommytntfury.” Jake Paul posted.

A report we ran earlier this month indicated that Woodley and Jake Paul both walked away with a disclosed $2-million dollar payday. With Paul offering just half of that amount to Fury, it remains to be seen if the half-brother of the famous boxing heavyweight champion will be enticed by the offer.

Jake Paul followed up his final offer on Twitter by drawing attention to the fact that “real fighters” have been more difficult to negotiate with than MMA fighters. In addition to offering him his biggest payday ever, Paul continued to prod on social media as to why these “real fighters” have a chance to shut him up yet they refuse to respond to his negotiations.

Jake Paul Shuts Down Tyron Woodley Rematch, Wants Tommy Fury Next

Jake PaulJake Paul has his eyes set on his next boxing match, and it’s not against Tyron Woodley. Paul took a split-decision victory over Woodley in an 8-round match back in August. Jake Paul has his eyes set on his next boxing match, and it’s not against Tyron Woodley.

Paul took a split-decision victory over Woodley in an 8-round match back in August. Paul had entertained the idea of offering Woodley a rematch, but only if the former UFC welterweight champion followed through on a pre-fight bet to get Paul’s name tattooed on him. Woodley said he would only get the tattoo once the rematch was agreed upon and signed, but, as Paul told the Full Send podcast, that wasn’t good enough (h/t MMA Fighting).

“I’m like, ‘Where’s the tattoo?’ Now he’s saying you have to sign the contract and then I’ll get the tattoo,” Paul said. “The tattoo was a bet before this fight. It was the loser had to get the tattoo. So now he’s trying to change it to make it for the rematch. It doesn’t make sense [to fight him again]. If he would have gotten the tattoo now and that clip goes viral and everyone’s like ‘Jake do it,’ I’d be like, ‘I kind of have to do this.’ But he f*cked up.

“He’s saying, ‘Oh, I’ll get it once you sign the contract.’ No, you f*cked up. Just get the tattoo and let me decide from there. But I think it’s on to bigger and better things. I want to fight a real boxer. We’ll see what the cards have in store.”

As for who that boxer will be, all signs are pointing towards Tommy Fury. The half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Tommy fought on the undercard of Paul vs Woodley, picking up a win over Paul’s training partner Anthony Taylor. According to Paul, Fury – who has also made a name as a reality TV star in England – as the right amount of a following and skills to make him an intriguing option.

“I think Tommy Fury’s probably at the top of that list,” Paul said when asked who was next for him. “He’s skilled. He’s undefeated. He’s [Tyson Fury’s brother] and he’s a real boxer. He has like four million followers on Instagram, good engagement. He has the fans from the relationship thing, like they fell in love on a show or some sh*t like that.”

While there is no timeline yet for his next fight, Paul is already making plans to return to Puerto Rico and resume training. He said his passion for boxing is driven by the opportunity to prove naysayers wrong.

“I almost want to go into a fight where it’s like, ‘There’s no way he’s going to do this.’ I just want to continue to prove people wrong.”

UFC heavyweight prospect, Tom Aspinall, is backing his former sparring partner, Tommy Fury, ahead of a potential fight with YouTube celebrity turned professional boxer, Jake Paul.

‘The Problem Child’ stretched his perfect record to 4-0 with a split decision win over Tyron Woodley this past weekend. On the undercard of that fight, Tyson Fury’s brother made it seven wins in a row since going pro when he beat Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor over four rounds.

Post-fight, Paul and Fury clashed backstage. A fight between the two men appears to be on the table, provided Woodley fails to deliver on his tattoo promise.

Aspinall is due to square off against Sergey Spivac at UFC Vegas 36 this Saturday. Ahead of the bout, the 28-year-old spoke with The Schmo about his previous sparring sessions with ‘TNT’.

“I think Tommy Fury will beat Jake Paul, personally,” Aspinall said. “Tommy Fury used to knock me all over the place when we used to spar. We used to have some bad sessions… Tommy Fury, he can take a few shots, definitely, so he’s gonna beat Jake Paul.” (Transcribed by Sportskeeda)
