TUF 17 Finale posterFollowing last nights The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale, UFC president Dana White announced the “Fight Night” bonuses for the live television event.

Earning an extra $50,000 for their performances were Travis Browne for “Knockout of the Night,” Daniel Pineda for “Submission of the Night,” Cat Zingano and Miesha Tate for “Fight of the Night.”

The TUF 17 Finale took place on April 13, 2013 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card aired on FX while the prelim card was split between Fuel TV and streaming video on Facebook.

At the post fight presser, White announced an attendance of 5,549 fans for a live gate of $569,000.

Browne took 71-seconds to finish opponent Gabriel Gonzaga by knockout in their bout. The Brazilian would pin the Hawaiian against the cage looking for a takedown, Browne would respond by dropping elbows to the side of Gonzaga’s head dropping him to the mat.

Pineda also finished his opponent quickly, needing 95-seconds to submit opponent Justin Lawrence with a kimura in the opening bout of the event on Facebook. Pineda would take Lawrence to the mat a couple of times in the opening minute, and with the second takedown Pineda would secure the arm to finish the fight.

The second women’s bout in the Octagon began and ended with a flourish of action as Zingano and Tate looked to knockout the other. The two fighters would battle back-and-forth through the first two rounds, with Zingano finally taking charge in the third after connecting with a series of knees. The stunned Tate wasn’t able to recover and after falling to the mat the referee jumped in to stop the match.
