The UFC has already supplied great action in 2017, and the leader of mixed martial arts shows no signs of slowing down.

UFC 211 is a stacked card with two title fights with many other compelling fights booked beyond that. The UFC is looking at marquee summer events, but there are still many slots available. And that just covers the first half of the year.

What comes after that May 13 event? What are the best fights available?

Sometimes the best fights are all about the storyline and not the in-cage action. Sometimes it’s all about the high-level technique put on display. There are plenty of both to go around in this crazy sport. Big names, big games.

Let’s take a look at 10 of the best fights the UFC can book in the remainder of 2017.

After winning his second UFC title in as many weight classes this past November at UFC 205 in New York City, lightweight champion Conor McGregor expressed some interest in capturing the 170-pound title, which is currently held by Tyron Woodley.

As of now, McGregor’s future is currently unclear, as a potential boxing match between him and Floyd Mayweather still looms. If he were to return to the Octagon for a showdown for the welterweight title, however, McGregor’s longtime head coach John Kavanagh ‘wouldn’t see a massive challenge’ in Woodley:

“I’d fancy him in there with Woodley,” Kavanagh said during a Q&A session in Australia. “He’s just another wrestler with an overhand right, and that’s the type Conor grew up knocking out.

“So I wouldn’t see a massive challenge in that.”

Woodley’s future is also unclear at the moment. “The Chosen One” is coming off of a decision victory over Stephen Thompson in their rematch at UFC 209 last month and has since expressed interest in bouts with Georges St. Pierre and Nick Diaz.

While a bout between McGregor and Woodley is certainly a possibility for the future, Kavanagh would rather see rising 170-pound contender and McGregor teammate Gunnar Nelson get that title:

“I would like to see Gunni get that belt,” he added. “Gunnar Nelson will be the next SBG world champion.”

What do you make of Kavanagh’s comments?

As the UFC’s longtime color commentator, Joe Rogan is well known for his infectious enthusiasm, passion and deep knowledge of mixed martial arts (MMA), and is highly respected by both fighters and fans alike.

However, having called thousands of fights over the course of his 15 years in the hot seat, not to mention also having one of the most successful podcasts on the internet, it’s inevitable that he’s ruffled a few feathers along the way.

In this article we’ll look back at some of the most memorable examples of MMA stars lashing out at Rogan after something that he’s said or done over the years.

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson has never been afraid to speak his mind, and so when he had a problem with Rogan questioning the lack of kicks in his striking game, he let the whole world know about it.

“I just want to tell [Rogan] to shut the f*** up,” ‘Rampage’ ranted during a 2012 interview with Fighters Only.  “Let’s see you do it. Let’s see you come in here and kick this mother-f***er who wants to take you down. Shut the f*** up.

’Rampage’ also claimed he’d “beat the sh**” out of Rogan if they fought, while also accusing him of being so biased towards Jiu-jitsu specialists during fights that he, “might as be playing the rusty trombone.”

Rather than engage him in a war of words, Rogan wisely opted for the diplomatic approach after spotting Jackson backstage at a UFC event.

“I always want you to know that, if I ever say anything it’s never out of disrespect,” Rogan told him. “I like you and I root for you and I always thought you were a cool guy.”

To his credit, ‘Rampage’ then admitted he’d been wrong to call him out for doing his job and they put the matter behind them.

Michael Bisping Reacts To Tyron Woodley’s Latest Callout

Michael Bisping insists he’s ready to move on from his reported match-up with MMA great Georges St-Pierre – the biggest fight of his career – if GSP won’t fight in July. “The Count” insists he’ll battle number one contender Yoel Romero at UFC 213 during International Fight Week, but yesterday welterweight champion Tyron Woodley called

Michael Bisping insists he’s ready to move on from his reported match-up with MMA great Georges St-Pierre – the biggest fight of his career – if GSP won’t fight in July.

“The Count” insists he’ll battle number one contender Yoel Romero at UFC 213 during International Fight Week, but yesterday welterweight champion Tyron Woodley called Bisping out yet again, offering to “put his foot in Bisping’s a**” on July 8.

But not surprisingly, Bisping isn’t too keen on The Chosen One” and his endless callouts for “money fights,” quickly shooting down the offer on Twitter because of his incredibly lackluster win over Stephen Thompson in his last fight:

Woodley then replied by insisting Bisping was ‘running’ even though he fights in a completely different weight class than him, to which “The Count” understandably scoffed at, noting Woodley was the one looking for a fight outside his normal division:

Ouch. A brutal reply, but not an unfounded one considering Woodley’s last fight was most definitely among the worst title fights in UFC history. As Dana White said afterward, “The Chosen One” is going to have to make fans want to see him in one of the big money fights he so covets, and he did just the opposite at UFC 209.

As for St-Pierre, well, Bisping then shifted from Twitter to Instagram to goad GSP, demanding they set a date for their awaited championship showdown:
