Jake Paul is hoping to put the claims off a ‘No Knockout’ clause to bed following on from the announcement he will be offering Tyron Woodley the chance at $500,000 if he is able to KO or TKO ‘The Problem Child.’

Paul took the opportunity to speak on this matter at a virtual news press conference yesterday.

“You know me. I like to make things more interesting all the way across the board.

“There’s been this rumour going around about a ‘no knockout’ clause in my contracts. Someone started it and everyone else ran with it. People are like sheep. They believe everything they read or see, and they go which way the crowd is going.

“That’s been a rumour that’s completely untrue. I’d be in jail for rigging fights. That’s illegal. We just wanted to squash that rumour right away and from now on we’ll be giving bonuses to my opponents if they can knock me out. We want to incentivize them and prove to the media and the world that all of these rumours aren’t true.”

This was also backed by Jake Paul’s adviser Nakisa Bidarian who pointed out the contractual stipulation in place for Woodley.

“And to be clear, that’s contractual in Tyron’s agreement. There’s a contractual agreement that if he knocks out or TKOs Jake, he’ll get a $500,000 bonus payment.”(Transcribed by MMAJunkie)

Following on from their previous meeting which saw Jake Paul defeat Tyron Woodley via split decision, Woodley was forced to fulfill his obligations by getting a Jake Paul tattoo to get a shot at the rematch, and a chance of redemption.

What is next for Jake Paul?

Does another win here over Tyron Woodley boost Paul’s credibility as a boxer? The initial matchup was supposed to be the big test for Jake Paul. Many people felt he had bit off more then he could chew when his initial bout was scheduled with Tommy Fury before the brit had to had to withdraw due to injury. Now for Woodley to come in on short-notice and beat Paul is going to be a difficult task but one that he is surely going to be fired up for.

Where does Jake Paul go from here if he beats Woodley? Paul vs Fury? I’m sure Tommy Fury like many followers of boxing will be hoping to see the matchup scheduled as soon as possible.

Jake Paul is very disappointed in Tommy Fury.

The two were expected to throw down in a boxing match on December 18th before it was revealed that Fury had been forced out due to a broken rib and a chest infection. This resulted in a rematch being booked between Paul and the last man he beat, a freshly tattooed Tyron Woodley, after their first fight ended with a split decision in August.

Speaking on The MMA Hour, Paul expressed his disappointment in hearing the news that Fury withdrew from their fight. He explained that he thinks the reason this happened is that the Englishman knew that the fight was going to end with him on the canvas.

“I’m a little upset. I don’t get how grown men can be such bitches, pulling out of fights like this. I really wanted to knock the Brit out and make him the laughing stock of the internet. But I think he saw that coming, and he cracked under pressure, and I’m a little bit disappointed,” Paul said.

As far as the reasoning for Fury pulling out of the fight, Paul is not buying his excuses, noting that he had fought with various injuries in his short career. He also stated that at first, he was just told about the chest infection and the fact that the broken rib was added on means that things are not as straightforward as Fury would like them to seem.

“So originally, it was just like a chest infection that we had known of, and then the broken rib thing they threw in there last minute. So I really don’t know. The whole entire thing seems shady,” Paul said.

“He lied about—the press conference in Las Vegas, he said his mom was sick so that he had to fly home, which wasn’t true at all. Tyson Fury has a history of pulling out of fights. He’s pulled out of five fights. The family is just sketchy. I feel like something else is going on over there that they don’t want to say, or they’re not as confident, or he wasn’t having a good camp, or whatever it was.”

Jake Paul Questions The Future Of A Tommy Fury Fight

While it may have made sense for Jake Paul to fight Tyron Woodley again, considering the short notice nature of the fight and the fact that he already won their first fight, there was still an interest in seeing the Tommy Fury fight happen. However, the YouTuber turned boxer has his doubts that the fight will ever happen.

Paul says that “Tommy Fumbles” has fumbled the bag once again, and that he does not necessarily want to give him the chance to do it again. He would hate to have the fight scheduled again, only for Fury to withdraw again.

“I don’t know. I don’t know how I feel about it. For me, I almost don’t want to give him the opportunity. And let’s say I do. Let’s say I get over the emotional part of it and I’m like, ‘OK, I’ll give him this opportunity. Who knows if he’s gonna back out or have some excuse then or have the chest infection or not show up at the press conference? So it’s looking bad for him. And part of me just wants to be cynical and not ever give him this payday or this opportunity ever again,” Paul said.

“He’s just an embarrassment. You let your country down, you let your team down, and you let a lot of people who hate me down. And you missed out on the biggest opportunity of your life, I think, and I think you know that.”

Time will tell if the fight with Tommy Fury happens again, but first things first, Jake Paul has to get past Tyron Woodley once again, on December 18th. It will be interesting to see what happens after that.

Expect plenty of activity from Tyron Woodley next year.

The former UFC welterweight champion is currently a free agent and is coming off a unanimous decision defeat to YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in August.

Woodley was hoping to secure a lucrative rematch only for Paul to brush him aside and move on by fighting Tommy Fury instead.

However, “The Chosen One” remains in a unique position as he plans on competing in various combat sports in 2022. His goal is to compete four times in total (via Middle Easy).

“My ceiling is kinda different right now.” Woodley told MMA Junkie. “The fights that I want to take… I’m the only free agent in combat sports. Nobody else can say they’re a free agent. I can fight here, I can fight there, I can fight f*cking anywhere.”

“Next year, you’re gonna watch me fight 4 times, 4 different promotions, 4 different styles of fighting. I’m gonna be the first one to do it. You’re gonna see everybody else following behind like they always do.”

Tyron Woodley To Make MMA Return

One of those four outings could very well be a boxing match with Dan Hardy. However, mixed martial arts is also on the agenda.

“One of them is gonna be in MMA. I’m planning on fighting in MMA in July,” Woodley added. “Probably (Las) Vegas or something like that.”

It’s unlikely to be a return to the UFC. But there’s always Bellator and Triller Triad Combat if you can count the latter as MMA.

Woodley departed the UFC on a four-fight losing streak with his last outing being a first-round submission defeat to Vicente Luque back in March.

Tyron Woodley may not have a Jake Paul rematch to look forward to, but the former UFC welterweight champ is planning big things for the coming year.

After losing his boxing debut to YouTuber Paul in August, Woodley went to great, even embarrassing lengths to engineer the rematch promised by the former. Paul had vowed to fight Woodley if he tattooed “I love Jake Paul” on his person—and that’s exactly what “The Chosen One” did.

But Paul failed to live up to his end of the bargain, instead setting up a fight with Love Island star Tommy Fury. And this hasn’t sat well with Woodley, who has publicly lashed Paul for failing to honor his word.

The 39-year-old has, however, set his sights on challenges anew, most notably a boxing match with former UFC welterweight Dan Hardy. The duo have been engaged in a bitter war of words in recent months, which is expected to be settled in the ring somewhere in the UK come spring 2022. Contract negotiations are ongoing.

While Woodley is focused on forging new accomplishments in the ring, it appears Jake Paul remains a thorn in his side. Speaking to MMA Junkie, Tyron accused Paul of avoiding the rematch, and that it was a move motivated by the knowledge that he actually lost their first encounter.

“Man, Jake Paul a bitch,” said Woodley. “He ain’t wanna fight. Like, ‘You did it too late!’ Like, nah, dude, you just didn’t wanna fight and you found a way out. They gave you a gift, and you took it and ran, just like a little kid on the playground, ‘Nae-nae-nae-nae-nae-nae!’ But they know that they really didn’t win.”

The Jake Paul ship may have sailed, but now as a free agent, Woodley believes his prospects are bright.

“Most people that watched the fight feel like I won the fight,” said Woodley. “I really didn’t walk away a loser in the fight. And my ceiling is a little different right now. I’m the only free agent in combat sports. Nobody else can say they’re a free agent. I could fight here, I could fight there, I could fight fuckin’ anywhere.

“So next year, you’re gonna see me fight four times, four different promotions, four different styles of fighting. And I’m gonna be the first one to do it. And you’ll see everybody else follow behind…”

So will one of these fights see the “Chosen One” make a return to MMA? Woodley adamantly believes so.

“One of them’s gonna be MMA. I plan on fighting MMA (in) July, a real special fight to me,” said Woodley.

Tyron Woodley has given his take on Jake Paul claiming he has moved on from ‘The Chosen One’.

‘The Problem Child’ defeated Woodley in a highly anticipated boxing match between the social media star and the former UFC champion.

Paul won by split decision due to him landing more effective strikes over the bout, but Woodley was able to hurt the social media celebrity and nearly scored a knockdown.

Soon after the judge’s decision Woodley as well as the majority of the public was calling for a rematch, with this being Paul’s hardest opponent it seemed the rematch would be made.

But Jake only agreed to give Tyron the rematch if he got the “I love Jake Paul” tattoo, Woodley has seemingly got the tattoo but not in a timely manner according to Paul who has already booked his next fight.

Has Jake Paul moved past Tyron Woodley ?

Since their bout, Paul has booked a fight with fellow social media star and a boxer in his own right Tommy Fury.

Paul has suggested that Woodley’s hesitation to honour their tattoo bet lost him a mega-money rematch.

“Nah. By the time he got the tattoo we had already moved on to fight Tommy Fury and making that fight negotiation happen,” Paul said. “I don’t really think people want to see Tyron vs Jake Paul again. He had his chance”

The quote didn’t sit well with Tyron Woodley who would respond through his Twitter saying Paul “wasn’t a man of his word”.

With the match with Tommy Fury scheduled it seems that Paul once again has another opportunity to prove his doubters wrong.

One of Paul’s main criticisms has been that he hasn’t fought any real boxers, with his last two opponents being former MMA fighters. However, with a win over Tyson’s Fury’s younger brother who currently boasts a 7-0 record, Paul will surely silence his detractors.

Do you think we will ever see the rematch between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley?

Former UFC welterweight title challenger Dan Hardy appears close to coming out of retirement to box former UFC champ, Tyron Woodley, next year.

According to MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, the Hardy vs. Woodley boxing contract talks continues to unfold. The two sides are looking at a timeframe of Spring 2022 in the United Kingdom, although nothing has been formally announced or finalized.

If the fight is agreed upon, it would be Hardy’s first combat sports competition since 2012. Hardy is a former UFC welterweight contender who challenged Georges St-Pierre for the belt at UFC 111, losing by a unanimous decision.

Woodley is coming off of his boxing debut loss to Jake Paul earlier this year. He’s hinted at staying with boxing after a long, successful career in MMA that cumulated in him earning the UFC welterweight title.

Bad Blood Is Plentiful Between Dan Hardy And Tyron Woodley

Following Woodley’s loss to Paul, Hardy and Woodley exchanged quite the banter on social media. Woodley ended up getting the promised ‘I Love Jake Paul’ tattoo, which Hardy mocked brutally on Twitter.

The talk between Hardy and Woodley then switched to direct messages, which Hardy shared with his followers. Hardy has been bugging Woodley to “sign the contract” and make their boxing match official.

If the planned Hardy vs. Woodley boxing match ends up happening in Hardy’s backyard in the UK, this could add more intensity to the fight itself. As of now, it remains to be seen whether or not the matchup will come to fruition.

What are your thoughts on the rumored Dan Hardy vs. Tyron Woodley boxing match?
