Ryan Garcia claims his positive drug test, which returned traces of Ostarine in the wake of his Devin Haney win last month in Brooklyn, was a BIG LIE. That’s why the embattled pugilist demanded the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) review his “B sample” before passing judgement.

Different sample, same result.

“Ryan Garcia’s B sample results were returned Thursday [morning], one day after being opened,” boxing reporter Dan Rafael wrote on Twitter. “I have the lab reports and the B samples, as expected, matched A samples — both are positive for the banned PED Ostarine related to VADA tests the day before and after Haney fight. New York commission received the B sample testing report (and already had the A report) and now it’s on the commission to schedule a hearing for Garcia, which figures to happen at some point this summer.”

Read Haney’s reaction right here.

“Let’s go we positive. Positive vibes bruh. Yess so happy,” Garcia wrote on Twitter. “I F*CKING LOVE STEROIDS. I don’t care I’ll never make money again with boxing. Your loss not mine for setting me up lol joke’s on y’all. I will swallow all steroids.”

Garcia, 25, will likely face both a fine and suspension pending a disciplinary hearing and could have his Haney fight ruled a “no contest.”

Ryan Garcia’s B sample matches his A sample.

Not long after ‘King Ryan’ scored a stunning split decision victory over Devin Haney in April, the boxing star found himself under fire after it was revealed that his A sample from a VADA drug screen contained Ostarine, a selective androgen receptor modulator banned in every major sports league and the NCAA. Garcia immediately disputed the finding and requested that his B sample be tested.

As it turns out, the results are one and the same. According to a report from boxing journalist Dan Rafael on social media, he obtained a copy of the lab reports and confirmed that both the A and B samples provided a positive test for Ostarine.

“Ryan Garcia’s B sample results were returned Thursday a.m., 1 day after being opened,” Rafael wrote on X. “I have the lab reports & the B samples, as expected, matched A samples — both are positive for the banned PED Ostarine related to VADA tests the day before & after Haney fight.”

As for what comes next, Rafael added in a follow-up post that the New York State Athletic Commission has been made aware of the finding and it is now on them to schedule a hearing to address the situation, including any potential fines or suspensions Garcia will be hit with.

“New York commission received the B sample testing report (and already had the A report) and now it’s on the commission to schedule a hearing for Garcia, which figures to happen at some point this summer,” Rafael added.

Ryan Garcia reacts to the news of his b Sample in an unsurprising fashion

As the news started making the rounds on social media, Ryan Garcia lit up X with a slew of on-brand comments that went from having “positive vibes” to “I F*CKING LOVE STEROIDS” in the blink of an eye.

Though it’ll be a while before we know the fate of Garcia’s boxing career following his latest fumble, the Victorville, California native could find himself shelved for years, if not longer, as a result. In 2019, UFC standout Amanda Ribas was slapped with a two-year suspension by USADA after testing positive for Ostarine in an out-of-competition urine test.

However, Ribas’ suspension was later reduced to time served after it was determined that the substance got into her system via a tainted supplement. If Garcia can prove that he did not intentionally take Ostarine for his fight with Devin Haney, it could not only save him a massive fine, but it could save him years of his career.

UFC and WWE are merging its individual live events departments into one entity, called “TKO Live Events Strategy Team,” with UFC senior executive Peter Dropick being promoted to executive vice president, event development and operations for TKO.

That’s according to a new report from ESPN.

“Demand for live sports and entertainment has never been stronger, and we believe our portfolio of events will continue to drive the growth of our business,” Andrew Schleimer, chief financial officer of TKO, said in a statement (via Andreas Hale).

“The newly integrated TKO Live Events Strategy Team will focus on creating operational efficiencies and developing strategies to leverage the broader economic benefits we bring to host cities, including partnering with local governments and maximizing revenue opportunities from site fees.”

UFC and WWE are both housed under the TKO Group Holdings, Inc. (TKO) banner after Ari Emanuel and his Endeavor group purchased the pro wrestling promotion early last year. Expect the organization’s live events consolidation to result in additional layoffs.

UFC welterweight title challenger Belal Muhammad doesn’t care to get support from the average UFC fan.

Although Muhammad is one of the top fighters in the world, he doesn’t get a ton of support from the average UFC fan, which he doesn’t seem to care about.

“Being at [WWE] events is funner,” Belal Muhammad said on the Money Loyalty Respect podcast. “It’s like the complete opposite of UFC because those people are so into it. No matter what you’re doing, like, you could literally throw a punch or run into the ropes and the fans are going crazy no matter what, because they’re real, true, fans…

“UFC fans, it’s just like you said, 90% of them are just drunks that don’t care about anybody else unless they’re bleeding and standing in front of each other just banging it out … A lot of these people are just waiting for that viral moment, that viral knockout, that viral power slap or something nowadays that could go on TikTok,” Muhammad added.

Belal Muhammad holding himself to a higher standard

Part of the reason why Belal Muhammad doesn’t care about the support from MMA fans is because he holds himself to a higher standard than what they think about him.

Instead, he says he wants to set a good example for other Muslim kids on how to act, and not be disrespectful, which plenty of fighters are.

“I hold myself to higher standards because I do have those younger Muslim kids out there that are looking up to me,” he explained. “When they see me praying or something, it motivates them. And I’d rather have that more so than the drunk guy at the bar that’s, like, ‘Oh, Bully B’s a beast.’ Because those guys, once you lose, they’re gonna be the same ones that are saying, ‘Oh, you suck.’”

Muhammad will be fighting for the welterweight title for the first time in his career as he enters the bout on a 10-fight unbeaten streak.

Paddy Pimblett laughs off threat of Bobby Green ahead of UFC 304 his chin is gone

Paddy Pimblett has taken shots at Bobby Green ahead of their fight at UFC 304 in Manchester, England.

After Green beat Jim Miller at UFC 300, he called out Pimblett, and the fight was made for UFC 304 on July 27. It’s a step up in competition for the Brit but he has confidence he will beat Green as he doesn’t the American has a chin anymore.

Paddy Pimblett

“He’s a proper tool, lad,” Paddy Pimblett told The Mac Life,. “He’s a proper weapon. The funniest one is he says he mentioned me. I didn’t mention you. You mentioned me first. So then I mentioned you, ya little sausage. Everyone talks about me so it’s all the same. He’s just a proper tool, lad. I think he’s a proper s—t human being. He’s just a proper wanker, lad. He’s saying that I mentioned him first, lad. He’s just lying. Why would I mention you? Why would I mention Bobby Green, lad?”

“He’s got very good striking,” Paddy Pimblett said. “He’s got good hands, but his chin’s gone after what happened with Jalin Turner. Jim Miller’s no knockout artist and he wobbled him once or twice in that fight on UFC 300. I think that is off Jalin Turner absolutely obliterating Bobby Green’s skull into the canvas.

“His striking’s very good, his takedown defense is very good and that’s what he’s gonna try and do. He’s gonna try and use his takedown defense to keep it on the feet ‘cause he thinks he’ll outstrike me. As I say, his chin’s gone so strike with me, we’ll see what happens. I can see me knocking him out. I can see me submitting him,” Pimblett concluded.

Although Pimblett thinks Green’s chin is gone, the American has only been knocked out five times in his career, but his last three losses have all come by TKO/KO.

Paddy Pimblett an underdog to Bobby Green at UFC 304

Even though Pimblett doesn’t think Green has a chin anymore, the Brit is the betting underdog at UFC 304.

Bobby Green UFC 300

Pimblett opened as a +210 underdog, while Green was a -250 favorite. At the opening odds, oddsmakers implied Pimblett has a 32.3% chance of winning the fight at UFC 304.

If Pimblett can KO Green at UFC 304 it would be a statement-making win for him, and it would put him in the rankings.
