Jose Aldo is set to defend the UFC featherweight title once again. Whether Aldo continues his reign or falls to challenger Chan Sung Jung, you can watch the UFC 163 live-streaming action unfold from your computer.

Anthony Pettis was originally slated to meet Aldo on Saturday, but an injury forced the lightweight out of his 145-pound debut. Undefeated since joining the UFC roster, Jung was quickly named Pettis‘ replacement.

In addition to the featherweight championship, former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida will make his way to the Octagon for a bout with Phil Davis. Despite winning back-to-back fights that were labeled title-shot eliminators, Machida is still in search of a rematch with 205-pound champion Jon Jones.

UFC 163 goes down Saturday night from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The card’s main event pits featherweight champion Jose Aldo against the Korean Zombie, Chan Sung Jung.

Aldo is not only the UFC’s featherweight champ, he’s also the undisputed best 145-pound MMA fighter on planet Earth and a consensus top-five overall fighter (if not higher). Though the Zombie is an exciting, fearless and inventive fighter with an impressive three-fight win streak at the top of the division, very few give him much of a chance against Aldo.

Will Aldo prove the pundits and oddsmakers correct before a raucous crowd of his countrymen? Can the Zombie plow forward into upset history? Did you defer on buying the pay-per-view? If so, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a round-by-round analysis, updated in real time as the action unfolds.

Aldo vs. Korean Zombie: What to Watch for in the UFC 163 Main Event

Any time a guy like Jose Aldo takes to the cage, there’s plenty to watch for at a UFC event. His athleticism, explosiveness and pure skill are as good as anyone in the sport, and when he fights in Brazil he does it with an extra passion that’s plainly visible to anyone watching.

The same could be said about Chan Sung Jung, a man who’s earned his Korean Zombie nickname by putting his body in harm’s way repeatedly in an effort to provide as much excitement as possible every time he’s in the cage.

With the promise of such fireworks between the two, there’s plenty to have an eye on. Such as:

UFC 163: Korean Zombie Says ‘I’ve Always Thrived in the Role of Underdog’

Chan-Sung Jung, better known to the mainstream public as the “Korean Zombie,” headlines UFC 163 this evening in a featherweight tilt against long-time champion Jose Aldo

All indications are that Jung will have his hands full, as Aldo’s 15-fight win streak, including six title defenses, has the challenger pegged as a 6-to-1 underdog by some oddsmakers (via Best Fight Odds).

The fact that the match up is taking place in Aldo’s homeland of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil doesn’t help Jung’s chances either.

Nevertheless, if his interview with Bloody Elbow from this morning means anything, it appears that the Korean brawler/submission specialist is cool, calm and collected heading into his championship bout.

“I’m focused on winning the fight. Jose Aldo is a great fighter, so I’ll have to be at my best to beat him, but I’m feeling great physically and mentally … The fans here have been nothing but supportive! I’m sure there will be plenty of “boos” on Saturday, but I’ve always thrived in the role of underdog. I’m just excited about fighting for the title …  I don’t make detailed strategies … more like general gameplans. We’ve been practicing for particular skills that Jose Aldo exhibits. I don’t plan to freak out on him though.”

To his credit, the Zombie is currently riding a three-fight win streak, all finishes, which earned him four fight bonuses.

In March 2011, he avenged a WEC loss by tapping out Leonard Garcia with a twister, earning him “Submission of the Night” honors. Jung is the only fighter in UFC history to win a bout with a twister.

At UFC 140, Jung put the UFC’s 145-pound division on notice by knocking out former title challenger Mark Hominick in just seven seconds in front of his Canadian home crowd, good enough for a “Knockout of the Night” check.

In his most recent outing, Jung submitted top contender Dustin Poirier with a d’arce choke in the fourth round of their May 2012 encounter, receiving both “Submission of the Night” and “Fight of the Night” honors for the back-and-forth battle.

The entertaining scrap was also named the 2012 “Fight of the Year” by respected MMA media outlets MMA Fighting and Sherdog.

Will Jung’s fearless, aggressive style be enough to put the dominant champion down or does Aldo have another highlight-reel worthy knockout to add to his resume?

UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will put his belt and his impressive 15-fight winning streak on the line in his home country on Saturday night at UFC 163.

Aldo will square off against “The Korean Zombie,” Chan Sung Jung, who has won 11 of his 16 professional fights by knockout or submission. The two will collide in the main event of Saturday’s pay-per-view from Rio de Janeiro.

But before this weekend’s much-anticipated title fight, a number of other big names will show off their skills in the Octagon, including former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida.

Here we’ll get you set for Saturday’s action.

What: UFC 163 main card

Where: HSBC Arena, Rio de Janeiro

When: Saturday, Aug. 3 at 10 p.m. ET

Watch: PPV

Prelims on Facebook and FX

As usual, fans who don’t want to shell out $50 or $60 for Saturday’s PPV can catch a handful of preliminary fights for free on Facebook and FX.

All you have to do is click “Like” on the official UFC Facebook page and you can watch all three scheduled bouts on Saturday starting at 6 p.m. ET: Viscardi Andrade vs. Bristol Marunde (welterweight), Ednaldo Oliveira vs. Francimar Barroso (light heavyweight) and Rani Yahya vs. Josh Clopton (featherweight).

Beginning at 8 p.m. ET on FX, four more preliminary fights will be broadcast in the lead-up to the PPV.

Ian McCall will square off against Iliarde Santos in a flyweight bout with the potential to thrill. Meanwhile, welterweights Sergio Moraes and Neil Magny will also be on display prior to a women’s bantamweight showdown between Brazil’s Amanda Nunes and “The German Tank” Sheila Gaff.

The prelims will conclude with a matchup between light heavyweights Vinny Magalhaes and Anthony Perosh.

UFC 163

The UFC will save its best for last on Saturday night. August’s first event will feature five intriguing fights, but none with more at stake than the main event pitting Aldo vs. Jung.

Aldo has defended his UFC title four consecutive times, while Jung has looked lethal in his past three victories, two of which came via submission, the other was a knockout win over Mark Hominick at UFC 140.

That said, the second-to-last fight of the night also has potential. “The Dragon,” Lyoto Machida, will look to win his third straight fight when he takes on American Phil Davis, who has lost just once in 13 professional bouts.

The main card will also featured a pair of middleweight bouts. The first will see Brazilian Thales Leites take on England’s Tom Watson, while the second will be an all-Brazilian affair between The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil winner Cezar Ferreira and Thiago Santos.

The PPV will kick off shortly after 10 p.m ET with a catchweight clash between John Lineker and veteran Jose Maria.
