striking when they eventually face each other.

‘The Gorilla’ made a successful middleweight
debut when he beat Kelvin Gastelum over three rounds at UFC 244 late last year.

Since then the 27-year-old has been sliding into Adesanya’s DM’s on a frequent basis to call him out – with hilarious results.

Yesterday he appeared on the Believe You Me podcast hosted by former 185lb king Michael Bisping and comedian Luis J Gomez.

The conversation naturally came around to the infamously boring UFC 248 main event between Adesanya and Yoel Romero. When asked about the fight Till certainly didn’t hold back. “Adesanya’s a p*ssy, he joked. “You know what mate, yeah I’m just going to come out and say it, it was a sh*t fight. But I’ve been in them myself, stalemate. I don’t think Yoel and ‘Stylebender’ were the right match for each other, the way that fight was looking.

“You could say ‘Stylebender’ looked scared and you could say Yoel was doing some stupid things- which he was. You know what mate, it was just a snoozer. It just didn’t do anything for the fans, didn’t do anything for me. But then, Stylebender’s been in wars and so has Yoel so you can’t really hate on them for one fight, but it was a sh*t fight.”

Till expects to dethrone Adesanya is he is given the chance to do so. A combination of power, technical ability, and a strong mindset is what he believes will win him the fight.

“I feel like at welterweight, I was just so drained. It got to a point where it was just draining my whole body, my brain and everything. I feel now, with this little bit of an improved mindset (I already had a strong one) and healthier at middleweight, I think I’ll just be too much for Stylebender. I think I’ve got too much power, and I think I’ll be technically standing up too much for him. I really do, he’s not taking me down. And you know, I’ve got this mentality when you take me down I’m getting back up.” (Transcribed by BJPenn.com)

Thiago Santos has called for a title fight with Dominick Reyes.

Santos has been out of action since injuring both his knees in a split decision defeat to Jon Jones in their light heavyweight title fight at UFC 239 last summer.

And with the recent news of Jones getting arrested for aggravated DWI and negligent use of a firearm, there is a possibility that the light heavyweight champion may have to face further repercussions which could impact the title.

If such a scenario were to happen, Santos — who is now targeting a comeback — wants Reyes for what can only be assumed to be a fight for a vacant belt.

“I think UFCs 205 div needs a new champ! ( One thats not forever in trouble!)
I think me and Reyes deserve to fight for that belt! @danawhite @Mickmaynard2 @ufc @DomReyes @UFCBrasil @Alexdavismma @espnmma

Santos notably defeated Jones on one judge’s scorecard with while other observers felt he should have won the fight. Many have suggested an uncompromised Santos may have done even better.

As for Reyes, he suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Jones at UFC 247 last month — but like Santos, many felt he deserved to win the contest.

Although a title fight between Santos and Reyes is unlikely at this point, the two very well could face each other next, especially if Jan Blachowicz ends up getting the next shot at Jones.

Regardless, what do you think of Santos’ idea?

Francis Ngannou: Jon Jones Will Be A Challenge For Everyone At Heavyweight

Jones Ngannou

Francis Ngannou believes UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has a bright future at heavyweight.

Given his dominance at 205, many have called for Jones to move up to heavyweight and face the tougher challenges. It’s something he has repeatedly teased in the past as well.

And although Jones lacks the power and overall size compared to the regular heavyweight, Ngannou believes his skill-set alone is enough see him pose challenges for everyone in the division:

“I think he could do well wherever he goes, wherever he wants to be,” Ngannou told Submisson Radio. “I mean, there’s no doubt about it. When you look skill-wise, fighting experience, everything, there’s no doubt that he could do well everywhere.”

There are many dream fights for Jones at heavyweight — a trilogy with Daniel Cormier, a champion vs. champion bout with Stipe Miocic and of course, Ngannou.

“The Predator” is arguably the hardest-hitting fighter in the UFC with many observers intrigued to see how Jones would deal with him. And while Ngannou naturally feels he would be the winner in such a contest, he says it would be silly for anyne not to consider Jones a challenge:

“Yeah, of course. Yes, Jon Jones is a challenge for everyone,” Ngannou said. “Obviously, I will put myself as a winner, but if you don’t take Jon Jones as a challenge, that means something’s wrong with you, that means you’re crazy a little bit, I think.

“I mean, yeah, this guy’s been around and has been beating people up, being champ, being through all types of fights over years and years, and he’s still in the top position. And if you don’t take it as a challenge, that mean you get it wrong, all wrong.”

Do you agree with Ngannou? Who do you have winning in a Jones vs. Ngannou fight?

Dillon Danis took aim at Valentina Shevchenko for defending Jon Jones.

Jones was arrested Thursday morning for aggravated DWI and negligent use of a firearm in what is the latest infraction on his record. Many were not surprised given the UFC light heavyweight champion’s history as he received plenty of criticism for making yet another mistake.

Shevchenko was quick to defend him, however. The two notably shared the UFC 247 card last month as “Bullet” hit out at Jones’ critics:

“So sad the modern world is all about hype! Now many people starting to insult Jon Jones without knowing his real situation! Fighting on the same card , I could see he is kind and noble man ! Him being in all that difficult times – he will be back Stronger ! ??”

Danis was not impressed.

The Bellator fighter — who has regularly mocked and called out Jones in the past — responded to Shevchenko in a now-deleted tweet.

“Drunk driving multiple times he isn’t just putting his own life in danger but the life of others maybe you should talk to a young kid who parents have been killed by a drunk driver that were completely innocent and maybe you will rethink a noble man.”

Despite what anyone thinks about Danis, he certainly has point here.

Was Shevchenko wrong to defend Jones?
