Tonight’s (Sat., August 27, 2016) UFC on FOX 21 is in the books from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

In the featured bout, Demian Maia submitted three-time title contender Carlos Condit in an enticing clash of styles for what most feel should be the next title shot in the talent-rich welterweight division.

The rest of the main card featured some hard-hitting bouts as well, with former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis righting the ship in a big way by submitting dangerous Charles Oliveira in his featherweight debut and popular women’s strawweight contender Paige VanZant’s return to the Octagon with a flashy switch kick KO against Bec Rawlings.

Fresh off her run on Dancing with the Stars, Paige VanZant (7-2) looked to remind the strawweight division that she’s still a fighter to be taken seriously. Bec Rawlings (7-5) was in search of the biggest win of her career.

“12 Gauge” got the victory in devastating fashion.

VanZant was bouncing around and using her movement early on. She landed a leg kick. Rawlings landed a combination, but soon after took a leg kick. “12 Gauge” pressed Rawlings against the cage and landed a knee to the body. “Rowdy” fought her way out of the position. A knee to the body found the mark for Rawlings. VanZant didn’t land anything of significance until a combination with under 20 seconds left in the round.

“12 Gauge” was aggressive early with a kick to the body. A huge jumping switch kick to the jaw dropped Rawlings and she finished it off with strikes.

Final Result: Paige VanZant def. Bec Rawlings via TKO (Strikes) – R2, 0:17

Alessio Di Chirico vs. Garreth McLellan is next in a middleweight bout

Shane Campbell vs. Felipe Silva in a lightweight bout opens the FOX  preliminary bouts.

Thibault Gouti vs. Chad Laprise in a lightweight bout finishes off the UFC Fight Pass preliminary card.

Jeremy Kennedy vs. Alex Ricci in a lightweight opens the UFC Fight Pass prelims.

UFC on FOX 21 is here, and it goes down today from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. The early prelims will air on UFC Fight Pass at 4 p.m. ET while the other prelims will air on FOX at 6 p.m. ET. The four-bout main card will air on FOX at 8 p.m.
