Taking place in Brazil this weekend is UFC Fight Night 100. The card features a host of homegrown talent, as Antonio Rogerio Nogueira faces Ryan Bader in the main event. ‘Darth’ shocked us all in his last fight, as he completely destroyed Ilir Latifi with a huge knee. ‘Lil Nog’ starched Pat Cummins at UFC 198, and looks to make it two in a row against Bader. The co-main event features bantamweight prospect Thomas Almeida, as he takes on the undefeated Albert Morales. Almeida had his huge win streak snapped by Cody Garbrandt in his last bout, and will hope to get things back on track against the far less experienced Morales.

Feisty women’s strawweight contender Claudia Gadelha will battle Cortney Casey, with her second loss to Joanna Jedrzejczyk still fresh. ‘Claudinha’ faces ‘Cast Iron’ Casey, who is coming off two straight wins.

Former heavyweight champions Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett collide in the main event, with all the chips of a potential heavyweight title fight in play. The co-main event features Alexander Gustafsson vs. Jan Blachowicz. ‘The Mauler’ will look to get back on track after the firs back-to-back losses of his professional career.

The Polish Blachowicz hopes to play spoiler in this war of European light-heavyweights. Ilir Latifi and Ryan Bader will throw down, also at 205 pounds, to see if ‘Darth’ can remain top 10, or if ‘Rocky’ will knock him down a few pegs.

We’ve waited a long time for it, but now UFC 202 is just one day away. The main event rematch between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor has all the hype you’d expect and more, but don’t sleep on the rest of the card. Outside of the welterweight main attraction is a co-main event tilt between light-heavyweight title hopefuls Anthony Johnson and Glover Teixeira.

Both men will look to make a stamp in the second fiddle position and likely take a swipe and Daniel Cormier with a victory. In perhaps his last welterweight performance, Donald Cerrone will take on heavy-handed wrestler Rick Story. Korean ‘Ace’ Hyun Gyu Lim will battle Mike Perry also at 170, and a welterweight scrap between Tim Means and Sabah Homasi opens the main card.

There’s More

The bantamweight division plays the feature prelim role as Cody Garbrandt clashes with Takeya Mizugaki. Team Diaz’s Chris Avila takes on Team McGregor’s Artem Lobov, and there’s plenty of other great fights, including Neil Magny vs. Lorenz Larkin on Fight Pass (?!?).

Watch your favorite fighters weigh in ahead of what will most likely be a record-breaking pay-per-view bonanza in Las Vegas, Nevada. The live stream starts today at 7 PM ET (Midnight UK Time), but we’ll have the early weigh-ins results updated at 11 AM ET (ish).

Here we go with the first of three huge UFC weigh-ins this week, as Rafael dos Anjos and Eddie Alvarez do battle at UFC Fight Night 90. The Brazilian is coming off a first round TKO victory over Donald Cerrone in late 2015 and wants to put a stamp on his performance against the always game ex-Bellator boss Alvarez. Can the ‘Silent Assassin’ dislodge ‘RDA’ from the 155-pound throne? We’ll find out when they collide on July 7.

We’ve got a great co-main event to look forward to in the form of heavyweight knockout artists Derrick Lewis and Roy Nelson. Although now 40 years old, ‘Big Country’ can still pack a mean punch, but ‘The Beast’ is part of the next generation and faces his sternest test to date in Nelson. Joseph Duffy returns in a lightweight showdown with Mitch Clark, and there’s a host of other well known faces backing up the first of three big UFC events this week.

UFC Fight Night 89 goes down tomorrow night (Saturday June 18, 2016) from the TD Place Arena in Ottawa, Canada. It’s weigh-in day here at LowKickMMA.com, and there’s a host of well known names set to hit the scales at 5 PM ET. Although officially they’ll be weighing in this morning, we will now get to see the new format of the weigh-in show as we did at UFC 199, meaning less dehydrated zombies on show.

The main event pits welterweight contenders Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson and Rory MacDonald against each other in a battle for that 170-pound title fight. The Canadian MacDonald hasn’t seen action since his gruelling five round war with Robbie Lawler at UFC 189, but could well set himself up for a trilogy fight with a victory on home turf. It’s been a whole different story for Thompson, who has knocked out Johny Hendricks and Jake Ellenberger to cap off his current six fight win streak.

UFN89-MacDonald-vs-Thompson-Poster[1]

The co-main event for the evening sees dangerous strikers Donald Cerrone and Patrick Cote go to war. ‘Cowboy’ will look to improve to 2-0 at 170 pounds after choking Alex Oliveira in February, and ‘The Predator’ is currently riding three straight, including stoppage wins over Josh Burkman and Ben Saunders.

There’s a host of other well known names and former title challengers on the card, so you won’t want to miss this weekend’s action in Canada.

Tune in live at 5 PM ET for the live streaming UFC Ottawa weigh-ins, or check in right after for the updated results!
