On Sunday, WWE tweeted the following video of the originator of the “Billionaire Strut,” WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, doing his rendition of the growing pop culture trend along with a personal message to the UFC mega-star.

The strut recently resurfaced after the Irish champion executed it with style at the historic UFC 205 event at Madison Square Garden earlier this month.

Featured above is the video of “The Notorious” performing the strut years ago when first starting his ascension through the UFC ranks, along with the aforementioned footage that went viral online from the UFC’s debut show at MSG.

In addition to the video of McMahon doing the strut he created for his over-the-top “Mr. McMahon” persona in WWE (see below), which McGregor borrowed and added to his repitoire, a light-hearted message was included that reads as follows:

“[UFC] star [Conor McGregor] adopted billionaire strut is great, but it pales in comparison to that of the genuine article,”

Triple H Talks WWE’s Interest In Conor McGregor, Tweets McGregor-Vince McMahon Clip

WWE Executive and on-air performer Triple H spoke with “The Telegraph” while the two were in attendance at the UFC 205 event headlined by Conor McGregor vs. Eddie Alvarez this past Saturday evening at Madison Square Garden in New York City and spoke about WWE’s interest in the first fighter in UFC history to hold two world titles at the same time.

“He could come over, he’s got it all, man – he’s got the personality, the skills, the talk. He’s an entertainer, for sure,” Triple H said. “What does he walk around at? 180 pounds? I have smaller guys now in the WWE. We have 200 pound guys who are stars. You don’t need to be 300 pounds any more.”

In a nice touch, Triple H, who as pro wrestling fans will attest, knows how to play “The Game,” particularly the behind-the-scenes political game, gave the perfect example to help emphasize the fact that smaller guys can be featured in a major way and a legitimate way despite their size, as he referenced the Floyd Mayweather match from WrestleMania 24.

For all of you non-WWE fans, the match saw Mayweather, a 147 pound boxing champion defeating the seven-foot, five hundred pound Big Show on the biggest stage the profession has to offer.

“He could do just as well as Floyd Mayweather when he fought the Big Show,” said Triple H. “That really worked. Conor could do it for sure.”

The only thing missing was for “The Game” to then conclude by questioning to himself out loud: “I wonder if he could break the records ‘Money’ Mayweather set that night?”

Additionally, Triple H posted the following GIF on Monday afternoon, which shows Conor McGregor doing Vince McMahon’s infamous “Power Walk,” complete with the over-the-top, purposely arrogant flailing arms. The GIF shows Vince McMahon doing his trademark walk down the ramp on WWE television and then cuts to “The Notorious” one doing the same walk, which he has done on several occasions in the past while directly referencing the fact that it’s the Billionaire Strut, giving the tip of the cap to WWE’s longtime promoter.

WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler has been involved in helping promote this weekend’s Bellator 162 event in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, including hosting fight week activities at his restaurant, “King Jerry Lawler’s Hall of Fame Bar and Grille.”

On Monday, “The King” joined Ariel Helwani on “The MMA Hour” at MMAFighting.com to talk about his involvement with the show. During the interview, Lawler shared his opinion regarding Bellator MMA President Scott Coker being similar to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

“Scott Coker, the President of Bellator MMA reminds me so much of Vince McMahon, especially with the new signings,” Lawler said. “We had the brand split, and are calling it a new era, bringing in young guys and new women from NXT, the new training facility. All these guys are making that jump. It’s the same thing with Bellator MMA. A ton of new guys have been signed by Scott Coker. It reminds me so much of the same type of building things up and the enthusiasm we have in WWE.”

Additionally, “The King” revealed that when he sits cage-side at the Bellator 162 event in Memphis this weekend, it will be the first time he has done so for an MMA event.

“Well, I’m definitely going to be there cage side. I’ve told everyone I’ve been ringside for a million wrestling matches but I’ve never been up close and personal cage side at an MMA show.”

Bellator 162 takes place later this evening from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee and airs live on Spike TV.

Dana White: “I’ve Been Trying To Work With Vince McMahon For Years, It’s Very Difficult”

UFC President Dana White appeared as a guest on the latest episode of WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair’s podcast and spoke about his attempts to work with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon over the years.

“I’ve been working, or trying to work with Vince for years,” said White. “It was obviously very difficult, Vince is a maniac.”

White continued and as he has for years in a number of interviews, spoke highly of the guy who turned his father’s regional pro wrestling promotion into a worldwide conglomerate.

“He’s a f*cking competitor, man. That’s what he is. If you look at what Vince McMahon has accomplished in all of his years, and to still be on top, still doing it, the guy’s got enough money,” said White of NcMahon’s work ethic and success over the years. “He’s in it because he loves it. He’s in it because he’s passionate about it.”

White mentioned allowing Ronda Rousey to do the WrestleMania appearance was one example of him working with McMahon in the past. Another example given was obviously the shocking Octagon return of Brock Lesnar at last month’s UFC 200 pay-per-view.

White made it clear that if nothing else, McMahon has his respect.

“[Vince] is a f*cking maniac, he’s an animal,” said White. “He’s a competitor, he wants to win. That’s his nature and I respect it.”

“To come back after all this time and put on that kind of performance speaks to the once in a lifetime type of athlete that Brock is.”

Count something you never thought would happen as set to go down at tonight’s (Sat., July 9, 2016) UFC 200 pay-per-view (PPV) from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

At the historic event, which is being heavily billed as the MMA leader’s all-time best card for good reason, former UFC heavyweight champion and current WWE superstar Brock Lesnar will face off with fan favorite Mark Hunt in the co-main event. When Lesnar’s shocking return to the UFC after four-and-half years off was announced, MMA fans and media members were left to wonder just how Dana White & co. were able to sign “The Beast” back from the notoriously tight clutches of WWE principal owner Vince McMahon.

Well, now we’ve found out. White revealed in a scrum at yesterday’s UFC 200 weigh-ins courtesy of Fight Network (via Cageside Seats) that the WWE will be heavily co-promoted during UFC 200 after allowing Lesnar to fight in a reported “one-off” return to the UFC:

In the scrum, White revealed details about his meeting with McMahon and the WWE’s front office, which resulted in Lesnar using his WWE walkout music in his UFC comeback at UFC 200 and WWE being promoted at the landmark event:

“It was Brock’s team, me, Vince and Triple H. Brock Lesnar just weighed-in on stage and he’s fighting here tomorrow night, so it went great. Listen, Vince and I have had our ups and downs and Vince is a tough character to deal with. He’s an animal. It’s one of the things that I respect about him. I think he’s loosened up a bit on the UFC.”

White confirmed that he owed the WWE a certain amount of reciprocity after they allowed Lesnar to essentially boost UFC 200 through the stratosphere with his appearance, acknowledging that he would certainly promote their company for doing so:

“The fact that they did this, I wanted to reciprocate, so yes. And they’re doing it. If you look today, Brock’s weigh-in will be on all social media for WWE. This deal couldn’t have worked out any better.”

With the UFC and WWE notoriously known as enemies in the past, that’s probably something you never thought you’d hear.

But to get “The Beast” back in the Octagon on his biggest-ever stage, well, White is willing to what it takes.
