Thiago Silva Misses Weight, Practically Guaranteeing He’ll Be Fired With a Loss

Remember when we remarked that Thiago Silva was the most likely fighter to win up in Bellator after UFC Fight Night 29 and then pointed out how Thiago Silva constantly shoots himself in the foot?

We hate being right. Thiago Silva missed the 205 pound mark by three pounds. Nevertheless, the fight will occur at a catchweight. Silva has to forfeit 25% of his show money to his opponent, Matt Hamill.

This fight was already do-or-die for Silva, who’s been one of the sport’s unluckiest fighters/drug users. He pissed hot for non-human urine (and likely used a fake dick) at UFC 125. Subsequently, his win over Brandon Vera was changed to a no contest. Silva’s UFC on FUEL TV 6 win over Stanislav Nedkov was also changed into a no contest after the Brazilian tested positive for marijuana.

Missing weight is likely the last straw for a guy with this kind of history.

It’s a card that is all but guaranteed to deliver thrills from top-to-bottom, especially in light of the UFC’s recently implemented “Dan Hardy Stipulation” that renders all UFC contracts null and void should the fighter not “bring it every fucking time.” I’m just reading the press release, folks.

Anyway, join us after the jump for a video of the weigh-ins along with the fastest goddamn results in the entire goddamn internet. Seriously, we dare you to find another MMA site that updates the results faster than we do. You will not.

[VIDEO] The Ultimate Fighter 15 Full Weigh-In Results

All fighters made weight at last night’s weigh-ins for The Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale, which goes down live on FX tonight at the Palms Casino Resort in Paradise, Nevada. The evening was surprisingly absent of anything even resembling intensity, as many of the fighters (especially those on the undercard) seemed more like they were trying to one-up each other in terms of how goofy a stance they could strike for the cameras. As Yves Edwards would surely tell them, the key to a great weigh in photo is simplicity. And a bag of KC Masterpiece potato chips.

Will Martin Kampmann finally score a victory over a top contender that has eluded him ever since his win over Carlos Condit? And will the winner of Kampmann/Ellenberger receive a title shot in the clusterfucked welterweight division? Who will be crowned “king shit” of what may have been the least memorable season of The Ultimate Fighter in the show’s history?

All fighters made weight at yesterday’s UFC on FUELTV weigh-ins, which seemed to sail by at a faster pace than normal. Maybe it was the lack of name power, or perhaps it was the absence of the usual drama and near brawls that we have become accustomed to over the past few weeks. In either case, it was a reserved, quiet evening for all participants involved. Except Diego Sanchez. He doesn’t do “reserved.”

Instead, we were treated to what appeared to be a night of MMA fighters mimicking the looks of pseudo-celebrities. Sean Loeffler came out posing as the singer from Crazy Town, making it rain on the audience like they were the 2 a.m. shift at Scores, and Jonathan Brookins stuck with the Geico Caveman look that has gotten him some fine honeys up to this point. But the most bizarre shift in appearance undoubtedly went to Ed Herman, who pulled off Neil Fallon TO PERFECTION.*
