Two of combat sports’ biggest stars are currently involved with WWE. First, lineal heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury is running a program with one of WWE’s top big men, Braun Strowman. Also, two-time UFC heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez has now inked a multi-year deal with WWE.

Both men will make their in-ring debuts at the upcoming Crown Jewel event from Daudi Arabia later this month. Velasquez takes on Brock Lesnar, while Fury squares off with Strowman. A press conference was held by WWE last week to promote the event. Speaking to media outlets such as MMA Junkie afterward, Fury said he’s open to doing a WWE match with Velasquez down the road.

“Yeah, listen. Me and Cain, we’ve got a rivalry going back from when he was UFC heavyweight champion, from a right few years ago,” Fury said. “There was a lot of back and forward on social media back then. And, who knows, maybe that rivalry could spill over into WWE.”

Aside from a match with Velasquez, Fury also said he’s willing to step into the ring with any of the world’s top big men.

“I’d love to fight them all,” he said. “I’m a prizefighter. I’ve never ducked a fight in my life, and I’ll fight anybody.”

What do you think about a potential WWE match between Fury and Velasquez?

Brendan Schaub Wouldn’t Be Surprised If Cain Velasquez Used Steroids In WWE

Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub expects Cain Velasquez to use steroids now that he’s in the WWE.

Velasquez recently shocked the pro wrestling world by appearing on WWE SmackDown and confronting Brock Lesnar. It was later revealed that he had signed a multi-year contract with the organization and had retired from the UFC.

To make things even more official, Velasquez was even removed from the United States Anti-Doping Agency drug testing pool.

And according to Schaub, that can only mean one thing as he believes everyone is on steroids in the WWE:

“I hate to do this, but WWE fans, every single one of your favorite wrestlers is on steroids,” Schaub said on his podcast (via MMA News). “If you’re gonna play ball, you gotta get dirty. And that’s just part of the game. Why wouldn’t you be? Who gives a f*ck?

“Why wouldn’t you be? There’s no difference between what they’re doing and what Hollywood’s doing. If you get a call to be Batman, you better juice the f*ck up and be Bruce Wayne. What are you doing? No one actually looks like Bruce Wayne.”

Schaub would then add that he expects Velasquez to follow suit. And given the fact that Velasquez has never really looked jacked in the UFC, it would be easier to tell now that he’s in the WWE:

“If you’re doing WWE, juice the f*ck up,” Schaub explained. “Look like a superhero. You’re on the road 300 days a year, especially with Cain and his injuries, good for him. We’ll see what’s up because he’s never been like jacked.

“If he gets f*cking Nacho Libre and just f*cking shred city, that’d be so dope. But also him getting out of the USADA testing pool, no sh*t dude. If you wanna be a swimmer, you gotta get wet. If you wanna be a WWE wrestler, you gotta put needles in your ass.”

Do you agree with Schaub?

Cain Velasquez may have had his last fight inside the Octagon.

The former UFC heavyweight champion recently made an appearance in the WWE and took on Brock Lesnar. The two were longtime rivals in the UFC and the wrestling promotion now has a major storyline to build off of.

Yet, he is still under contract by the UFC so his future is up in the air.

Following his WWE debut, he caught up with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi to discuss his UFC future and possibly signing with the WWE. For now, Velasquez says he has not signed with WWE yet.

“Yeah, we’re just working out a few things here and there. But I think it’s a great story, it’s a great rivalry between me and Brock,” Velasquez said (h/t MMA News). There’s a strong UFC tie to WWE, wrestling now. We’re both competing so it’s the same type of feeling when I fought him in Anaheim. He was talking about how the fans played a huge role in that fight because I was definitely favored there in Anaheim and people were yelling at him just Mexican chants.”

What this means for his future in the UFC is up in the air. Yet, Velasquez says fighting will always be there but WWE is fun for him right now.

“The UFC, I feel like fighting will always be there. I feel like I have those skills. This at the time was just really fun for me and who knows where I’ll go from here. But I’m enjoying what I’m doing and that’s it for me.”

Do you think we will see Cain Velasquez fight in the UFC again?
