Welterweight contenders Diego Sanchez and Jake Ellenberger will face off on Fuel TV in the first quarter of 2012.

MMAjunkie.com confirmed today the news of the fight, which takes place in Omaha, Nebraska.

The to-be-announced event is expected to take place on February 15 from Omaha’s CenturyLink Center.

Sanchez (23-4) returns to the Octagon for the first time since a March decision victory against Martin Kampmann.

With the win, Sanchez earned a second consecutive victory that placed him back in the upper echelon at welterweight.

A fall matchup with Matt Hughes at UFC 136 was scratched due to an unfortunate injury sustained to Sanchez during training.

Ellenberger (26-5) is currently on a five-fight win streak with back-to-back knockout victories over Jake Shields and Sean Pierson in 2011.

The headlining bout takes place in Ellenberger’s hometown, where he’ll certainly be looking to earn another victory and work his way towards a shot at championship gold.

Michael Bisping welcomes Jason “Mayhem” Miller back to the Octagon on December 3 and based on their rivalry, it’s safe to say that it’ll be an action-packed fight.

Bisping (21-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) is set for his second fight after a stint as an coach on The Ultimate Fighter, while Miller (23-7, 1NC MMA, 0-1 UFC) returns to the Octagon for the first time since 2005.

Miller made his name while hosting MTV’s Bully Beatdown and fighting in other promotions and in Japan where he defeated Tim Kennedy, Robbie Lawler and most recently Kazushi Sakuraba.

An impressive victory extends Bisping’s three-fight win streak and likely places him in title contention with the likes of Chael Sonnen and Mark Munoz.
