UFC 131 Results: , Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Mike Massenzio
UFC 131 is under way live from Vancouver B.C. The UFC is streaming the first five fights from the card via their facebook page and on Youtube. In the fifth fight of the night, light-heavyweight competitors, Krzysztof Soszynski (25-11-1) and Mike Massenzio (11-4) face off.
Natural middleweight Mike Massenzio fought valiently as a late replacement against Krzysztof Soszynski, but Soszynski was just the bigger and more well rounded fighter.
Although Soszynski was composed and in minimal danger throughout the bout, Massenzio was able to keep the fight relatively competitive with his tenacious wrestling attack.
Often times the two fighters would stalemate in positions against the cage and on the ground but Soszynski would always be finding openings to threaten or damage Massenzio.
In the end Soszynski walked away with a clear cut unanimous decision victory.
Soszynski was disappointed with not finding a finish, but his talents are evidenti and Massenzio deserves respect for taking on a high level opponent in a heavier weight class than his natural middleweight class.
