Former UFC star Darren Till has come out on top in his first professional boxing bout, defeating Anthony Taylor via knockout in the main event of Misfits Boxing 20 in Manchester, England.
After thoroughly dominating Taylor for five rounds, coming in with a notable advantage in height and reach, “The Gorilla” put his fellow MMA veteran down with a power combination in the sixth.
Ex-UFC Contender Darren Till Scores KO Win In Pro Boxing Debut
“The Gorilla” previously competed in an exhibition boxing match back in July 2024, scoring a bizarre TKO over Mohammad Mutie, with a brief brawl coming after the fight.
Till, a former UFC welterweight title challenger, went 18-5-1 in his 10-year MMA tenure, which ended with a loss to current middleweight kingpin Dricus du Plessis at UFC 282 in December 2022.

Former UFC fighter Darren Till practically ran through Anthony Taylor in his Misfits Boxing debut on Saturday night.
After dropping five out of six inside the Octagon, Till appears to have found new life in the boxing ring after scoring his second-straight win in the sweet science. Headlining the MF & DAZN X Series 20 event in Manchester, England, Till looked nothing short of spectacular as he picked apart ex-Bellator fighter Anthony Taylor throughout their six-round affair.
From the get-go, it was clear that Taylor was outmatched as Till masterfully implemented his jab, opening up his left to land repeatedly on the Misfits mainstay.
To his credit, Taylor appeared to catch his second wind in the fifth round and bloodied Till’s nose with a couple of solid strikes, including a massive overhand right that caught ‘The Gorilla’ clean. Unfortunately for Taylor, that only served to awaken Till’s killer instinct.
One round later, Till would put ‘PrettyBoy’ away with an assortment of strikes against the ropes.

Till is poised to lock horns with renowned influencer boxer Anthony Taylor in an eight-round heavyweight showdown, headlining Misfits X Series 20 on Jan. 18 at Co-op Live in Manchester, England.
Ahead of their showdown this weekend, Till and Taylor came together at the pre-fight press conference on Thursday. After a relatively tame exchange on the mic, the two boxers engaged in one of the most bizarre staredowns in recent memory.
Taylor made every effort to spice up the faceoff with some quirky banter during the close encounter, but “The Gorilla” remained largely unfazed. At one point, Till even walked off the stage, leaving everyone puzzled, only to return moments later.
“I’m about to make easy work of you,” Taylor said. “Yeah, I’m about to get them veneers redone for you. I want you to say something. You think you big and bad because you trained with pro boxers. Your whole team is sh*t.”

Anderson Silva’s son Gabriel got a brutal beatdown by Anthony Taylor at Misfits Boxing 17 in a shocking turn of events. After securing the big win, Taylor wasted no time before making some big callouts.
The fight between Gabriel Silva and Anthony Taylor came to fruition because YouTube personality turned boxer KSI withdrew from a two-vs.-one boxing match that was set to feature Taylor. So, the son of MMA legend Anderson Silva was added to the mix, and suddenly, the Misfits Boxing 17 card was saved.
The fight between Taylor and Silva was an interesting one. On the one hand, you had Taylor, who floundered about the MMA scene, from fighting for brands like Bellator to becoming a largely exhibitionist boxer under organizations like Misfits Boxing. On the other hand, there is Gabriel Silva. Largely untested but still the son of one of the greatest champions and mixed martial artists ever to grace this planet.
Anthony Taylor runs through Gabriel Silva at Misfits Boxing 17
Sadly, the challenge proved too great for Anderson Silva’s boy, and Taylor walked away as the victor after only three rounds. It was an impressive showing from the MMA journeyman, and it will likely help pave the way for fights in the future against bigger and better names.
The damage was largely done in the third round, as Taylor dropped Silva three times to end the battle. On the second to last knockdown, a picturesque right hand found a home and sent Gabriel Silva into a different realm momentarily.
Although Silva managed to answer the count, it wasn’t meant to be. He would go on to get dropped again, and the fight was officially over. Taylor was undoubtedly thrilled to have scored such a big victory for his resume, and he made the most of his mic time to make some potentially unreasonable but nonetheless exciting callouts.
Darren Till, I know you watching!” Exclaimed Anthony Taylor after the bout. “Hey, If you see this message, bring it! Floyd Mayweather, I’ll knock you little skinny a** out too. Bring it, ’cause best believe I ain’t going nowhere!”
What do you think the odds are that Anthony Taylor could actually land himself a fight with Darren Till, or Floyd Mayweather?

Social media sensation KSI will return to the boxing ring this summer for a rare 2-on-1 boxing match.
KSI, real name Olajide Olatunji, is no stranger to meeting two opponents on the same night. At the inaugural MF & DAZN X Series event in 2022, he squared off with Brandon Scott, better known by fans online as Swarmz, and Luis Alcaraz Pineda in back-to-back bouts, knocking out both opponents in the process.
However, on August 31, it will be a “handicapped tag team match” as KSI meets former Bellator standout and current Misfits Boxing light heavyweight champion, Anthony Taylor. Joining Taylor will be Misfits middleweight titleholder and undefeated YouTuber Slim Albaher.
The bout is expected to headline Misfits Boxing’s second-anniversary event in Dublin.
Anthony Taylor and Slim Albaher Respond to the KSI’s challenge

“2v1 lmao. I’d knock his lights out by myself. If this is my only chance after chasing KSI for years then I’m sorry AT you ain’t getting Tagged. Let’s make it happen.”
Though he has won a handful of exhibition boxing bouts dating back to 2022, his official record is 1-1, featuring a split decision victory over his Prime Hydration partner Logan Paul in 2019 followed by a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Tommy Fury four years later. Of course, Fury is the same fighter who handed Jake Paul his first career loss inside the squared circle.
