UFC welterweight Matt brown speaks on Mike Perry serving as the backup fighter for Logan Paul Vs. Dillon Danis

Influencer boxing continues to roll on, in the latest sideshow Logan Paul and KSI will be fighting on the same card together on October 14. KSI will take on Tommy Fury, while Paul will take on Danis – the pair have called it the ‘Prime Card’ after their ‘hydration’ drink.

While both Paul and KSI have recently come under fire for their own controversies, which include use of racial slurs and a multi-million dollar scam, the drink itself has recently received heavy scrutiny. While both have marketed the drink as a hydration beverage, experts have claimed that the ingredients in the drink are not that of a useful hydration

Logan Paul to take on Mike Perry

As Danis will be Paul’s opponent, there are concerns that he would pull-out of their scheduled bout. In fact, Danis has a clause in his contract that means he will have to pay $100,000 if he pulls out.

They also gave a backup opponent for Paul, which is arguably a much harder task. Perry will replace Danis should he drop out and even appeared in a face-off with the influencer.

Since leaving the UFC Perry has gone on a tear in the bareknuckle boxing world and is the sports biggest star. The American has maintained an all-action and come-forward style, putting on exciting fights. According to MMA legend, Matt Brown, Paul should be hoping that Danis does not pull out.

“He does not want to f*** with Mike Perry,” Brown said on The Frighter Vs. The Writer. “Mike Perry’s not a great boxer either, but he doesn’t give a f***. (H/T MMA Fighting)

“He comes forward and throws bombs. I just watched him versus [Michael Page] in bare knuckle the other day, and it was like he has no technique at all. He just walks forward and throws, and he doesn’t look good doing it at all, but it f****** gets the job done. He’s praying that Dillon Danis shows up.”

Who would win, Mike Perry or Logan Paul?

Chris Eubank Jr. lands knockout win over Liam Smith in rematch Boxing highlights

Former world championship holder, Chris Eubank Jr. has exorcised his demons tonight in Manchester, England — landing a tenth round TKO win over fellow former world title winner, Liam Smith in the pair’s heated rematch — in the same arena as their bad-blooded January pairing.

Eubank Jr. — who saw his impressive six-fight winning run halted by Liverpool veteran, Smith back in January — was finished in spectacular fashion at the Manchester Arena, with the former landing a fourth round TKO win of his own.

However, tonight, the bitter rivals seemed oceans apart in terms of respective ability, with Chris Eubank Jr. — the son of former world champion and decorated veteran Chris Eubank Sr., dropped Smith early in the pair’s rematch tonight in Manchester, as well as turning in a slew of round wins on each of the three judge’s scorecards.

Pouring pressure on in the ninth round, Chris Eubank Jr. would successfully force the issue at the fight hit double-digit rounds, knocking Smith down once more in the tenth frame of their rematch.

Taking a standing eight count, Smith was eventually pulled from the action by referee, Kenneth Parker soon thereafter in the same round, with Eubank Jr. unleashing shot after shot on the Liverpudlian’s guard and body at the ropes, landing a tenth round TKO win in the pair’s rematch.

Liam Smith vs. Chris Eubank Jr. II Betting Preview

Riding a stunning fourth round TKO win over Chris Eubank Jr. into the pair’s rematch this weekend, Liverpool veteran, Liam Smith is hotly closing as a rather decent favorite to defeat the former world champion again, when they share the ring in Manchester, England.

Headlining a January event against Eubank Jr. in Manchester at the beginning of this year, 35-year-old veteran puncher, Smith managed to severely upset the odds and defeat Eubank Jr. – stopping the Hove native in the fourth round with a barrage of strikes at the rope en route to a TKO win.

Liam Smith closing as betting favorite to again beat Chris Eubank Jr.

The win came as the former WBO light middleweight champion’s impressive fourth on the trot, following a trio of consecutive knockout wins over Anthony Fowler, Jessie Vargas, and prior to his win over Chris Eubank Jr., Hassan Mwakniyo.

And at the time of publication, Smith is currently riding an impressive -150 favorite line over on Betway to defeat Eubank Jr.

However, for the former WBA interim middleweight champion, Chris Eubank Jr. – a third career loss and in quite devastating fashion to Smith back in January, sees him currently carry underdog odds of +137 with Betway to defeat Smith this weekend in their rematch.

Sharing a slew of verbals throughout the build up and subseqeunt conclusion of their first pairing, Eubank Jr. has been notably steadfast in his claim that an illegal elbow strike from Smith led to his ultimate demise back in January.

Furthermore the former world champion also admitted that he likely should have taken more time to recover from the first and initial onslaught from Smith during their first bout, ultimately kicking himself for his decision to made a timely return.

Seeing his six-fight winning run halted in his TKO defeat to Smith at the beginning of the year, Eubank Jr. – who had notably landed wins over the likes of Liam Williams, James DeGale, Avni Yildirim, and Gary O’Sullivan during his career, has turned in an impressive 23 career knockouts throughout his 32-3 professional career.

In terms of prop bets on offer from Betway, Smith is closing as a notable -165 betting favorite to do the double on Chris Eubank Jr. – and land either a KO, TKO, or disqualification win this weekend in Manchester.

For Eubank Jr. the heavy hitting striker is currently closing at +400 to do the same and avenge his stoppage loss to Liverpool rival Smith.

Having shared the squared circle with middleweight supremo, Canelo Alvarez in a 2016 KO loss, Smith has, however, landed victories over the likes of Liam Williams, Sam Eggington, Roberto Garcia, Jessie Vargas, and of course, the aforenoted, Eubank Jr.

And despite the fact we witnessed a fourth round stoppage in the action in their first foray back in January, Smith and Eubank Jr. are currently available at -133 to share the ring for the entire 12 round distance this weekend.

One thing is for certain this weekend, the roll over of hostility between the duo following their initial clash in January, is sure to make Smith’s rematch with Eubank Jr. this weekend one of the more intriguing clashes to take place in a massive annum for the sport of professional boxing.

Can Liam Smith land a second career win over Chris Eubank Jr. this weekend?

Logan Paul claims that KSI was a harder fight than Floyd Mayweather Jr. in latest interview.

Influencer boxing, as crude and cringeworthy as it might be, still attracts large audiences for some of theri events. This gives their biggest stars such and Paul and KSI a kind of illusory superiority in regards to their skills and understanding of the sport.

While neither Paul of KSI have displayed any real boxing quality, they certainly don’t know that. In fact, Paul would go as far to claim that foe turned business partner, KSI was a harder fight than Mayweather, who he fought in June of 2021.

“Honestly, KSI, he’s just a dog.” said Paul in an interview with Misfits. “He’s just a dog. He has this tenacity and this intensity that I’ve never seen. Like when you’re in the ring with him he wants to kill you. It’s the only thing he cares about. He can’t lose. He made a documentary called “Can’t Lose” and I think he really, really believes that in his heart so he tries as hard as he can.

“I think Floyd Mayweather knew he wasn’t going to lose.” (H/T MMA Mania)

Logan Paul makes interesting claim

Logan Paul Vs. Dillon Danis

After turning to professional wrestling, Paul is set to make a return to the ring when he faces off with Dillon Danis in October.

The pair have had an feud which dates back several years, which has turned particularly ugly since their fight had been made officially. Danis in particular has taken it to the extreme, targeting Paul’s fiancé and her past relationships with other celebrities.

Danis has been heavily criticized for his antics and complainants do have a valid point. The issue is, behaviour like this has been allowed and at times encouraged by those who push influencer boxing. In a world where people feel the need to one up each other in order to promote fights and themselves, a lot of influencers seem to have no boundaries.

If a fighter such as Anthony Joshua, or Terrance Crawford began to make remarks like Danis’, they would be rightly criticized. However, it would be hypocritical for someone like Paul, or KSI to claim that it is ‘too far’ when then they have not only encouraged similar actions, but greatly financially benefited from the atmosphere it has created.

Heavyweight boxing legend ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson is combining his two favorite things for an event fight fans never knew that they always needed.

On August 27, the former undisputed world champion is promoting the first ever Weed Boxing Championship. The event is scheduled to go down on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand and it is exactly what you think it is.

Emanating from Samui International Muay Thai Stadium, athletes will compete in three three-minute rounds, but only before they get higher than a bat’s ass with some premium kush provided by cannabis aficionado Mike Tyson. Spectators are also encouraged to partake in their preferred strain with plenty of drinks and food to go around once everyone starts to get the munchies.

Mike Tyson Wishes He Had Used Marijuana While Competing

The event looks to take advantage of Thailand’s bustling weed tourism after the Southeast Asian country decriminalized the plant in June 2022. Almost overnight, dispenceries popped up and events across the country have taken advantage.

Of course, Thailand is already known for it’s steep history in the art of eight limbs, Muay Thai, but this will be the first time that two worlds are fused together in a spectacle unlike any other.

Sadly, Mike Tyson will not be participating in the event, aside from potentially toking up with some of the event’s competitors.

“Cannabis is good to workout on for me. I just wish I was smoking back when I was fighting — I really lost out there from an athlete’s perspective,” the sports icon said in an interview with Muscle and Health magazine. “If I’d smoked during my boxing career, I probably wouldn’t have been so aggressive.”

If only he had known then what he knows now, perhaps Evander Holyfield’s ear could have been saved.

Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury will be boring Deontay Wilder predicition UFC Boxing

Former WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder has claimed a scheduled October boxing clash between former UFC heavyweight kingpin, Francis Ngannou, a former three-time opponent, Tyson Fury will be nothing more than a “boring” spectacle.

Slated to make his professional boxing debut over the course of 10 scheduled rounds in the Middle East, former undisputed UFC heavyweight kingpin, Francis Ngannou is booked to fight incumbent WBC heavyweight gold holder, Tyson Fury in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in October.

Set to make his first combat sports outing since he headlined UFC 270 back in January of last year, Batié knockout artist, Ngannou, who has employed the coaching talents of former world champion, Mike Tyson, most recently landed a unanimous decision win over Ciryl Gane to successfully unify the UFC titles.

As for Fury, the outspoken Morecambe native has been sidelined himself since December last, on that occasions defeating Derek Chisora for the third time in his professional career to defend the WBC title.

Deontay Wilder criticizes Francis Ngannou’s clash with Tyson Fury in October

However, as per Alabama native, Wilder, the former WBC heavyweight best has predicted a wholly “boring” pairing of Ngannou and Fury when they share the squared circle in two months’ time.

“I think it’s gonna be boring, in my gut, I feel it’s gonna be boring,” Deontay Wilder told ESNews during a recent interview. “I don’t think it’s gonna be an exciting fight. Because, I haven’t been in it, the heavyweight division is going down tremendously. The excitement about it is just not the same no more.”

“The heavyweight division has been f*cking dead,” Wilder explained. “I remember the time when it was like, ‘Damn, it’s good to be a heavyweight, the division is back.’ Now, you don’t feel no electricity at all. And we know what man brought that excitement.”

Himself linked with a long-rumored showdown against former world champion, Anthony Joshua, Wilder has been sidelined since he knocked out common-foe, Finnish heavyweight, Robert Helenius back in October of last year in Brooklyn, New York.
