Conor McGregor has sounded off on Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin, Abubakar Nurmagomedov, tapping out earlier today (Sat. November 9, 2019) at UFC Moscow.

Abubakar met David Zawada in a welterweight contest, and was dominating the bout with his wrestling before getting caught in a triangle chokehold. Nurmagomedov had no choice but to tap out to the deep choke.

It didn’t take McGregor long to take a shot at the Nurmagomedov family after the loss, posting a series of tweets on Twitter.

Nurmagotaptap”

Hahahah shitebags.”

“He tapped his forehead. If you can tap his forehead. You can punch his forehead. He quit. 1 quitter exposed. Abubakar Nurmagotaptap. Forever a failure.”

McGregor hasn’t fought since his submission loss to Khabib in October of last year. After being dominated for the most part against “The Eagle,” McGregor tapped out to a neck crank in the fourth round. “Notorious” has been desperate for a rematch with the Russian since, but plans to string together a win or two before running things back with his rival.

The Irishman is rumored to return in January, with Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone said to be the frontrunner to welcome him back to the Octagon.

What do you think about McGregor teasing Nurmagomedov for tapping at UFC Moscow?

If Conor McGregor wants a rematch with UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, he has quite a long way to go.

Nurmagomedov recently held a press conference in Moscow, per TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, and made several interesting comments. First, he said he wouldn’t fight in Nevada again unless he receives an apology from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

This is likely for the NSAC fining and suspending him after attacking the McGregor corner at UFC 229. Otherwise, he said he expects to fight in New York come April. Also, Nurmagomedov addressed a potential rematch with McGregor, noting, he’ll need 10 wins before earning such a fight.

Khabib Nurmagomedov held a press conference in Moscow and according to @tassagency_en, Khabib will only fight in Las Vegas if the NSAC apologizes to him. Otherwise, he expects to fight in New York this April. Khabib also said McGregor needs 10 wins before he gets a rematch.”

Nurmagomedov and McGregor fought at UFC 229 in October of last year. The fight lasted four rounds, and was fairly lopsided in the Russian’s favor, before “The Eagle” submitted the Irishman with a neck crank. McGregor has been itching for a rematch since, but realizes he needs to earn a victory before doing so.

There has been talk of McGregor returning in January against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.

Do you think Nurmagomedov and McGregor will ever have a rematch?

Dominick Reyes wants as many eyeballs as possible on his eventual light heavyweight title clash with Jon Jones.

“Bones” recently confirmed that he has decided to fight Reyes next, putting up his 205-pound crown for grabs yet again. Speaking to MMA Fighting, Reyes complimented Jones’ ability to troll people online. He then called for “Bones” to put pen to paper and make the fight official.

“He’s really turned into quite the troll. That’s all I’ve got to say about that. He goes online just to get a rise out of people and then he does completely different from what he says.

“I think he’s doing it just to mess with people to be honest. I’m ready to go. We’ve just got to get that contract now, sign it up and champ camp begins,” Reyes said.

Lastly, Reyes suggested Conor McGregor slide into the co-main event of their title fight, making the event that much bigger. Reyes noted he’s eying a January 18 fight with Jones in Las Vegas.

That just so happens to be the same date and location McGregor has already stated he’s locked in for next year.

“I’d fight him Jan. 18 in Vegas. Put Conor McGregor on the co-main and that sells the fight,” Reyes said.

Do you think McGregor’s return to the UFC will be in a co-main event role?

Earlier this year a single mother from Liverpool, England claimed that Conor McGregor was the father of her young daughter.

As a result, McGregor took a DNA test to prove he was, in fact, not the father of the young girl. According to a report from The Irish Independent, the test results indicate that there is a “zero percent chance” McGregor is the father of the girl.

Swabs were taken from the mouths of both McGregor and the young girl for the DNA test. Testing was organized through NorthGene Ltd, a recognized DNA testing service based in Newcastle, England. A private laboratory, Eurofins, then had the results forwarded to them to carry out the percentage test.

According to The Irish Independent, McGregor did not show the biological markers which would be present if he were to be the father of the young girl, whose name is Clodagh Murray. With that out of the way, McGregor is also dealing with two separate accusations of sexual assault against him in Ireland.

While he handles his legal matters, the Irishman is targeting a January return to the Octagon, with Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone said to be the frontrunner as his opponent.

What do you think about McGregor shutting down the rumors of having an illegitimate child with a DNA test?
