Charles Oliveira called out some big names following his latest victory.

Oliveira made it two knockout wins in a row in 2019 following his first-round finish of Jared Gordon on the main card of UFC Sao Paulo on Saturday night.

It took his winning streak to six with all of those victories coming by way of finish. Ranked No. 13 in the UFC lightweight rankings, “Do Bronx” now wants a higher-ranked opponent.

He called out Conor McGregor and Paul Felder in his post-fight interview and expanded further during the post-fight press conference:

“I came here to fight, and now, I’m calling out some names,” Oliveira said (via MMA Fighting). “My coach is going to see what’s best. I want to fight on the last card of the year. I didn’t [take] any punches. I’m 100 percent. It can be Conor McGregor, (or) it could be Paul Felder.”

McGregor, of course, is the biggest name in the division. Felder, meanwhile, is ranked No. 6 and is notably the last opponent to inflict defeat on Oliveira.

However, the Brazilian went a step further by stating that he’s a bad matchup for current champion Khabib Nurmagomedov:

“Everyone’s talking about Khabib,” Oliveira added. “I’m better than him standing up. If it goes to the ground, I’m not going to be afraid of him.”

What do you think of Oliveira’s callouts?

Last night (Sat. November 16, 2019) things didn’t go according to plan for Artem Lobov.

The former UFC star battled fellow former UFC 145-pounder Jason “The Kid” Knight in the Bare-Knuckle FC 9 main event. Knight looked great all night, before finally putting Lobov away in the fifth and final round. “The Russian Hammer’s” eye was already swollen shut before the finish.

Now, Lobov’s good friend and teammate, Conor McGregor, has taken to Instagram to offer his reaction to Lobov’s defeat last night. Here’s what “Notorious” had to say.

“Artem Lobov! What a warrior. What a journey this has been mate. What a journey this is!

“You blow me away bro, from the world tours to the ultimate fighter to this! You deserve the world and more my brother! Congrats on another amazing fight! What a story!
Brothers for life mate. Congrats to Jason Knight. Amazing warrior. Great fight. say.”

Now, Lobov and Knight are one apiece in their BKFC careers. Last night’s main event was a rematch from their initial fight in April of last year. Lobov took the first meeting via decision. Now, with Knight’s TKO win, both men have verbally agreed to a rematch down the road. It’ll be interesting to see how soon a trilogy develops.

What do you think about McGregor’s reaction to Lobov’s loss at BKFC 9?

Tyson Fury continues to add fuel to the fire on a potential mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

Fury recently trained with top-ranked UFC middleweight Darren Till. He has caught the attention of UFC heavyweights Stipe Miocic, Francis Ngannou, Greg Hardy, and more, all of which willing to welcome him to the UFC.

“The Gypsy King” had previously teased a training session with UFC star Conor McGregor. Speaking to RTE Radio 1, Fury doubled down on the claim, saying he plans on linking up with the Irishman soon.

“I’m looking forward to coming to train with Conor. We’re going to get it all planned in and I should be over in Dublin quite soon,” Fury said. “I think Conor is an absolutely fantastic fighting man. He has offered to train me if I ever want to go into MMA.

“What better trainer could I have than the Notorious Conor McGregor? I’m looking forward to coming to train with Conor. We’re going to get it all planned in and I should be over in Dublin quite soon.

Fury then suggested he fully intends to transition into MMA once his boxing career has come to a stop.

“I’ll definitely be coming over for a training session, that is for sure. I have been MMA training in the last week with Darren Till in Liverpool,” Fury said.

“I really enjoy the new challenge. I don’t know where or when [I’ll move into MMA] because after I finish my boxing career I fancy my hand at MMA as well.”

Do you think McGregor is the right choice to train Fury for a career in MMA?

Conor McGregor is rumored to be nearing his Octagon return in early 2020.

Despite rumors about McGregor having issues with his coaching staff, the Irishman’s striking coach, Owen Roddy, confirmed to MMA Junkie that he and SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh will be in McGregor’s corner.

“Yup, yup, yup – yeah definitely, yeah,” Roddy said.

Initial reports suggest that McGregor could fight Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in January. During a recent press tour in Russia, McGregor announced his return date is set for January 18, however, the UFC has not officially confirmed this.

McGregor would not confirm who his opponent was, but UFC president Dana White has since admitted that the promotion is working on a fight between McGregor and Cerrone. In regards to a fight between McGregor and “Cowboy,” Roddy offered his take.

“If it is ‘Cowboy,’ it would be an exciting fight, yeah,” Roddy said. “I said this a couple of months ago: ‘Cowboy’ and Conor is a great fight for the fans.

“Two guys that are exciting strikers – although ‘Cowboy’ is phenomenal on the ground, as well, but I think if it was a fight between them, it would be a striking battle, and I think it would be one for the fans, so if it is that, it’ll be an exciting one.”

How do you think a potential fight between McGregor and “Cowboy” plays out?

It’s fair to say that Bellator double champion Patricio Freire isn’t a fan of Conor McGregor.

Tuesday marked the three-year anniversary of UFC 205 where McGregor made history by becoming first-ever two-weight champion in promotional history following his TKO win over Eddie Alvarez.

To celebrate the occasion, the Irishman dubbed November 12 as “World Champ Champ day” and went on to promote it further on his Instagram.

However, another champ champ in Bellator featherweight and lightweight title-holder Freire wasn’t too pleased by the comment as he responded later in the day:

“Says the sh*tty champ champ who didn’t have the balls to defend either title after years of criticizing fighters for not doing so, then made an embarrassment of himself and the sport every day since,” Pitbull wrote on Twitter.

Of course, everything “Pitbull” said is virtually true.

McGregor won the featherweight title in December 2015 before getting stripped of it in November the following year. He won the lightweight title in November 2016 but was stripped in April 2018 with not a single title defense.

And ever since last year, the Irishman has been in the headlines repeatedly for all the wrong reasons.

Hopefully, things come to an end and McGregor becomes an active fighter when he plans to return in January.

What do you think of Freire’s remarks towards McGregor?
