It’s high time Octagon announcer Bruce Buffer responds to Nate Diaz’ recent harsh words.

Buffer made headlines over the weekend by suggesting Diaz should “bow down to UFC President Dana White” for the money he’s been paid. Diaz expectedly fired back that he ‘bows to no man’ for no amount of cash. Diaz suggested that Buffer should “get off the UFC’s nuts” due to his claims.

The announcer apparently didn’t like how his words came off as a result. Buffer tweeted a sort of apology to Diaz. He insisted that Diaz had gotten his use of the term ‘bow’ out of sort:

Buffer has changed his tune. But that story may or may not come off as credible due to how he first detailed it. Diaz was none too pleased with the announcer’s assumption he should bow down to Dana White.

But the in-cage personality claims he maybe meant something else with his suggestion.

Diaz is rarely one to agree with Dana White, let alone bow, due to their storied history. This story may not be over because of that.

Conor McGregor looks back on a bout that no doubt changed his fighting career forever in a fight that many won’t soon forget due to the circumstances. The fight that the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champ is talking about was against Floyd Mayweather.

The Fight

The boxing match between these fighters took place on August 26th, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It aired live on PPV (pay-per-view) for the low price of $100 for HD and $90 for SD.

As seen in the fight, the UFC champion did show some good things in the ring considering that it was his first outing as a professional. However, he ultimately lost by TKO in the tenth round.

Although McGregor looked good in the first three rounds, he started getting tired as the fight went on. Even McGregor cited patches of fatigue that he needs to overcome. He made it clear by admitting that going 12 rounds was always a challenge for him during training camp.

Mayweather has gone on record by stating that this would serve as his retirement fight, which left him with a perfect 50-0 pro-boxing record. However, if a money fight is presented, he could change his mind.

Conor McGregor Looks Back

McGregor is preparing for his UFC return and decided to take some time to reflect on the fight in a recent post on his official Instagram account. He wrote the following:

“One year ago today I adhered to a load of rules, for a load of riches,” he wrote. “Not today though. Today was no rules. Just a fight. A Proper one. For nothing more than peace, and peace of mind.”

McGregor is slated to challenge Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title at the UFC 229 pay-per-view event. The show goes on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card will air on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET while the preliminary card will air on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET and the promotion’s streaming service, UFC Fight Pass.

Nate Diaz Claps Back At Bruce Buffer After ‘Bow Down’ Diss

Nate Diaz isn’t having Bruce Buffer’s trash talk.

It hardly a surprise that Nate Diaz claps back at Bruce Buffer.

The longtime UFC announcer recently dissed the polarizing MMA star by claiming he should be ‘bowing down’ to UFC president Dana White.

Buffer’s words don’t sit well with Diaz. He hopped on social media to blast back at the voice of the octagon tonight:

It’s the usual hard-line stance from Diaz. He affirmed he takes directions from no man. It’s a strategy that has gained him many a fan due to his outspoken personality. He’s now set to return against Dustin Poirier at November’s UFC 230. The pay-per-view event should be huge because of his presence.

However, Diaz has also begun to draw some criticism in the fight game. He is set to return, but likewise, it’s far from set in stone.

The Stockton slugger was expected to only return for his long-rumored trilogy with Conor McGregor. The press conference where McGregor’s return was also announced was a source of discord for Diaz. He walked out of it and tweeted he was no longer fighting. Maybe he wants to fight the best at lightweight, maybe it’s in order to set up the McGregor rubber match.

It seems like one thing is for certain. Diaz wants to be back in the limelight. If he’s making the kind of money Buffer claims, he has several million reasons to. MMA’s most infamous bad boy is back, so fans can only hope he actually fights.

Conor McGregor Takes Aim

Over the weekend, McGregor decided to add fuel to the fire by taking a shot at Nurmagomedov’s teammate Zubaira Tukhugov. The 27-year-old fighter is slated to take on McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov on October 27 at UFC Fight Night 138 in Moncton, New Brunswick.

In this post on his official Instagram account, he claimed that Tukhugov was in the process of treason. The reason for this is due to a true Chechen would never take orders from a Dagestani man. He wrote the following:

“A true Chechen would never assist in a Dagestani led attack on another Chechen. A true Chechen would never take orders from a Dagestani man. This is treason. There is no worse than treason.”

McGregor has not been seen in the Octagon since at UFC 205 when he won the lightweight title from Eddie Alvarez. He then fought in a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather. Since then, McGregor’s status as an active MMA fighter was put on hold once again due this arrest.
