Earlier this year, on Twitter, ‘The Notorious’ said:

“I’d love to boot that little gimp hasbulla over a goal post,” McGregor wrote. “How much to get him on the volley? Little smelly inbred. I’m gonna make it my mission to score a 3-pointer with him one day, hon the gaa.”

Hasbulla denied ever seeing this, as he responded:

“I don’t follow bums… didn’t know someone was running their mouth. @ me next time, @TheNotoriousMMA”

Hasbulla responds to Conor McGregor

In a recent interview, the Russian-born Hasbulla discussed Conor McGregor’s Tweets. Speaking with Full Send Podcast, he said:

“Yeah, I saw all of his Tweets of me. But he is not my opponent, he can just talk. He’s not like a fighter for me, I don’t respect him as a fighter. And if I meet him I will cause some problems for him.”

If he ever meets Conor McGregor in person, Hasbulla said:

“I don’t know yet. But I will definitely do something … I’m not going to talk to him and if I see that he wants something I’ll dismiss him.“

Hasbulla has been alongside many UFC fighters after their victories in the octagon. This year Hasbulla was in the cage with Khamzat Chimaev and the new lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. He also made a video in which he attacks the featherweight king Alexander Volkanovski. He is also signed to the UFC to work with the organization.

Hasbulla and the featherweight king Alexander Volkanovski have run into each other once again in Abu Dhabi. The two people had met previously, on Cooking with Volk, with the Russian-born character smearing the Australian fighter’s face with a hamburger.

Backstage at UFC 280, ‘The Great’ explained that if he ever saw Hasbulla again, he would take care of him. He said:

“You’s all seen that, right? Burger in the face. Chilli in the eye. That literally was burning me. Next time I see him, I’m going to fix him up. I’m tellin’ you, I’m going to fix him up.”

Russia’s Hasbulla then entered the room, Volkanovski exclaimed:

“Oh sh*t, he’s actually here!”

Hasbulla then proceeds to attack Volkanovski and take the featherweight title belt. This moment was shared on the UFC’s official Twitter.

The Russian Hasbulla has a five-year contract with the UFC. According to MMA reporter Igor Lazorin, the agreement entails: “Hasbulla signed a five year contract with UFC! So far in the plan – attending tournaments, media activity.“

Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 280

Australia’s Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkanosvki was in Abu Dhabi as the backup fighter for the UFC 280 main event. Charles Oliveira will be taking on Islam Makhachev for the vacant lightweight throne. If either of these fighters struggled to make weight or were unable to make it to the octagon, the featherweight champion Volkanosvki would step in.

Both ‘Do Bronx’ and Makhachev made weight so Volkanovski has some time off. However, whoever wins the lightweight title at UFC 280 will be next facing ‘The Great’ as their next defense. Both Oliveira and Dagestan’s Makhachev have agreed verbally to give Volkanovski a chance to make history as he tries to collect a second world title in the UFC. This champion vs champion matchup would likely be in early 2023.

Brazil’s Oliveira said he wants to fight Alexander Volkanovski twice. Once for the lightweight crown, and a second for the featherweight title. Additionally, he wants one fight in Brazil and one in Australia. During the UFC 280 press conference, Charles Oliveira explained:

“Charles against Alexander Volkanovski, we’re gonna have it two ways: we’re gonna fight at 155 pounds [lightweight] and then we’re gonna fight 145 pounds [featherweight]. So we’re going to fight in two weight divisions.“

‘The Great’ heard this offer and responded:

Hasbulla accuses Khabib Nurmagomedov of paying referees

Recently partaking in a football match with the aforenoted, Hasbulla, Khabib Nurmagomedov was accused of cheating by the 20-year-old, who asked if the latter had “paid the referees? How much you pay him?”

After taking a burger to the face while sharing a meal with Hasbulla, Alex Volkanovski and the MMA social media sensation have come under fire.

In an episode of Cooking with Volk, the UFC featherweight champion and Hasbulla were whipping it up in the kitchen and fixing some delicious-looking burgers to enjoy. The two could be seen chopping up cucumbers and tomatoes, as well as adding an assortment of spices into a tea pitcher to create a “secret sauce”.

At the end of the episode, the duo sat down to enjoy the burgers. Hasbulla would eventually stand up and smash his into Volkanovski’s face in what was a light-hearted and funny moment, which would surprisingly trigger a lot of negativity towards Hasbulla from fans.

Alex Volkanovski admits to planning the Hasbulla burger incident

Appearing on The MMA Hour, Alex Volkanovski seemed surprised the prank caused so much backlash for Hasbulla. Wanting to clear the air, he would admit it was all staged.

“I’ll be straight-up with this. Everyone does the Hasbulla thing and then obviously gets punched in the face and all that type of stuff,” Volkanovski began. “So, this was actually planned. I planned this just for a bit of a laugh.”

“The reason why I’m bringing this up,” Alex Volkanovksi continued. “Is because he ended up copping a little bit about it, especially with his religion and wasting food and all that type of stuff, things like that.”

“So I felt bad because I put him in that position. I told him with my burger, ‘You can hit there,’ and I ended up eating the burger so it actually didn’t go to waste. You actually see me in the video eating that burger.”

Alex Volkanovski would then go on to claim that he believed a lot of people thought the incident was real because of “how good his acting skills were”.

“I think a lot of people obviously thought it was real because of my acting skills,” He said. “How good was that? Everyone’s like, ‘Oh man, how’d you take that?’ It was planned. Sorry to ruin it for everyone, but I wanted to touch on that because when we’re dealing with Hasbulla and his team, they’re really cool, so I appreciate them doing that. I apologize for them copping a bit of hate about it.”

Volkanovski was last seen at UFC 276 where he picked up yet another decision victory against Max Holloway. Volkanovski has claimed that he’s the backup for the upcoming lightweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and the defending champion Charles Oliveira at UFC 280. Should either man fail to appear, or miss weight, ‘The Great’ expects to step up and try his hand at solidifying himself as one of the few double champions in UFC history.
