Internet sensation Hasbulla Magomedov hilariously posts that he is the latest “fighter” to sign a deal with the UFC.

Hasbulla makes his way around the MMA circles every time there is a fight card in Abu Dhabi and he is making his rounds once again. It was recently reported that Hasbulla would be cornering Islam Makhachev in his championship bout against Charles Oliveira. Ali Abdelaziz confirmed that both Hasbulla and Khabib Nurmagomedov would both be in Makhachev’s corner for his title bout. The last time Makhachev fought in Abu Dhabi, Hasbulla was taken into the octagon and held closely by Nurmagomedov during the aftermath. He was involved in pictures with Makhachev and he even lifted him up after his win.

Hasbulla Magomedov posted on his Instagram about his “signing”

“The rumors are true. I have officially signed a deal to fight in the UFC! Details will be revealed by the end of the year. Thank you to @ufc , @danawhite , @khabib_nurmagomedov , @sungurov_usa , @justinozuna and everyone who helped make this dream become a reality. All my fans will be able to buy a Hasbulla fight kit soon on UFC.comand hasbulla.com.” Hasbulla posted to his Instagram.

It looks as if Hasbulla has more “details” coming out around the new year, but it would be a far fetch to say that the UFC would sanction a fight for him. However, Conor McGregor is looking for an opponent and he has gone on record on how he “would love to boot that title gimp [Hasbulla] over a goal post”. Is it a coincidence that McGregor is eyeing an early 2023 comeback and Hasbulla has an announcement for early 2023? I think not.

All joking aside Hasbulla is one of the most beloved internet sensations on social media and the content he puts out is always top tier. Whether he be running around punching some of the greatest MMA fighters ever, or if he’s partying it up with a monkey, he’s giving the people what they want.

Makhachev is set to take on the former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira in his return to action at UFC 280 on Oct. 22 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He goes into the bout on a 10-fight win streak that includes notable wins over Bobby Green, Dan Hooker, Drew Dober, and Arman Tsarukyan. Makhachev was not able to rack up any top-five-ranked competition experience before getting a shot at the vacant 155-pound gold.

Hasbulla is confirmed to be in the corner for Islam Makhachev at UFC 280

Ali Abdelaziz, head of Dominance MMA management, confirmed to MMA Pack that Hasbulla would indeed corner Makhachev for his nearing title fight with the top contender and uncrowned champion Oliviera in the headlining bout of UFC 280.

“Hasbulla and Khabib will be in the corner of Islam Makhachev during his fight with Charles Oliveira at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. #UFC280,” he reported.

Hasbulla has been increasing his presence in the MMA community with frequent appearances at the fight organization’s shows. He hails from Dagestan, the native place of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Makhachev, and shares a deep bond with the undefeated fighter’s camp.

Hasbulla recently signed a five-year deal with the UFC

According to MMA insider Igor Lazorin, the influencer recently signed a five-year deal with the UFC. He will not be taking to the octagon under the promotion’s banner but will be attending events and promoting related content on social media.

A post by Lazorin reads, “This is a blast from the face. Hasbulla signed a five-year contract with UFC! So far in the plan – attending tournaments, media activity. We will not talk about the amounts in detail, but there they are such that many fighters do not get that much.”

Former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor has once more hit out at Russian social media star, Hasbulla, offering to spar the teenager in a “friendly affair”.

McGregor, a former undisputed lightweight and featherweight titleholder, has been sidelined from active competition since July of last year, headlining UFC 264.

The 34-year-old suffered his second consecutive defeat at the event, dropping a first round doctor’s stoppage loss to former interim champion, Dustin Poirier, fracturing his left tibia and fibula in the process.

The loss followed a prior knockout defeat to Poirier in January of last year, with the Crumlin native suffering his first strikes finish loss in his professional mixed martial arts career.

Expected to make his awaited Octagon return next year, Conor McGregor has been linked with a slew of potential opponents for his return fight, including the likes of Tony Ferguson, Michael Chandler, Jorge Masvidal, and former undisputed lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira.

Conor McGregor welcomes a sparring match with Hasbulla

However, in his time away from the sport, McGregor has poked continued fun at Russian social media standout, Hasbulla, previously labelling the teenager a “gimp” and claiming he would like to kick him over a goalpost.

In his latest tirade aimed at the popular, Hasbulla, McGregor has urged the UFC to set up a sparring match between himself and the former, promising a “friendly affair”.

“Let me spar Hasbulla, UFC,” Conor McGregor tweeted before deleting the post. “Big gloves, a friendly spar. I swear.”

The former two-weight UFC champion is currently in the Dominican Republic and is set to feature in a leading role ahead of the upcoming Roadhouse remake, featuring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.

In his most recent professional victor, McGregor defeated former UFC lightweight title chaser, the retired Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in January 2020 with a 40-second high-kick and strikes knockout.
