Jake Paul mocks Conor McGregor over some of his recently released payments from the UFC

Due to the class action lawsuit against the UFC, records are currently being released and will continue to be throughout the process. This includes fighter contracts and pay-outs – including the recently unsealed payments from McGregor’s fees from his fight with Chad Mendes to his lightweight title fight against Eddie Alvarez.

The ongoing legal battle claims that Zuffa, now merged with WWE to form TKO Group holdings, abused their power to suppress wages which is in violation of the United States antitrust watch.

McGregor would earn nearly $20 million in his first nine fights with the promotion (not including Alvarez fight), which included a $5.6 million pay-out for the second Nate Diaz fight.

Jake Paul makes fun of Conor McGregor’s payments

Of course, with any McGregor news there will come an unprovoked comment from Jake Paul – who has been attempting to make a fight between the pair for several years.

Paul would mock McGregor for the released figures, claiming it was ‘sad’ how much previous figures had been inflated.

“This is f****ng hilarious and sad at the same time” in a now-deleted tweet,” Paul said. “It was previously reported by Forbes that McGregor earned $27million for his UFC 202 rematch against Nate Diaz and UFC 205 world title fight against Eddie Alvarez in 2016. Purses from the UFC’s own filings show that McGregor didn’t get close to half of those claimed figures.” (H/T Mirror)

McGregor has seemingly re-entered the USADA testing pool in preparation for his long awaited return.

Paul is set to return to boxing on December 15, the American last defeated Nate Diaz last time out and will hope to continue the winning streak after dropping his first loss to Tommy Fury.

Nate Diaz axes rematch with Jake Paul next rules out move to minor leagues with the PFL

UFC veteran, Nate Diaz has apparently ruled out a rumored rematch with former-foe, Jake Paul off the back of their August professional boxing match – claiming he would not be open to a move to the PFL (Professional Fighters League) which he described as the “minor leagues”, despite reports of a lucrative offer on the table from the promotion.

Diaz, a former undisputed lightweight title challenger and welterweight contender under the banner of the UFC, made a professional boxing debut back in August of this year in Texas, suffering a unanimous decision loss to the above-mentioned, Paul in his first venture to the squared circle,

Deparing the UFC officially back in November of last year following a September main event fight with former interim lightweight champion in an impromptu welterweight clash, Stockton native, Diaz bowed out of the Dana White-led organization with a rallying fourth round guillotine choke win at the welterweight limit.

And following reports last month how Paul had been lined up for a return to professional boxing in December of this year – Diaz, a victor of The Ultimate Fighter, appeared to be all ears to a potential re-run in the ring.

However, reports would further claim from Most Valuable Promotions how Paul would not be boxing Diaz next, and how instead, PFL had made an offer to both of them to clash in mixed martial arts.

Nate Diaz rules out potential move to the PFL

In response to claims from PFL boss, Donn Davis how Diaz is “weaselling” out of a potential $15,000,000 payday to fight Paul next, the Californian fan-favorite maintained he would not consider a move to the North American-based promotion – one he considered a “back track” for his career.

“I’m good I’d rather fight real fighters,” Nate Diaz posted on his official X account tonight. “And never back track to the minor leagues p*ssyFL. Fight urself dipsh*t.”

Nate Diaz

PFL founder Donn Davis revealed that ex-UFC star Nate Diaz has a standing offer of $10-15 million to fight social media star Jake Paul inside the Smart Cage.

In August, Diaz made his professional boxing debut against ‘The Problem Child’ in an entertaining ten-round scrap that ultimately saw Paul come out on top via a unanimous decision, scoring his seventh career win in the squared circle. Immediately following the bout, the ‘Stockton Samurai’ seemed keen on running it back in MMA with the Professional Fighters League playing the role of host.

Appearing on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, the PFL chairman confirmed that Diaz vs. Paul is a fight the promotion hopes to deliver in 2024, but suggested that the TUF alumnus is actively ducking the fight.

“If we could ever put together Jake vs. Nate… If Nate would stop weaseling out and complaining about an MMA fight with Jake,” Davis said. “Something like that to put the mind of Jake Paul, creatively, against the technology available. Wow. So, it’s not just about the spectacle of the circle. That’s ten percent of it. The creative technology of the graphics and the engagement and the immersion is 90 percent. So you need to put creative minds against it. Not just a great event.”

PFL Offers Nate Diaz the ‘Biggest Payday of His Life’

Asked to elaborate on his comment, Davis revealed that Diaz has a $10-15 million offer on the table to fight Jake Paul in the PFL. All he has to do is come out from behind his rock and sign on the dotted line.

“I respect Nate because he’s the people’s champ,” Davis added. “He’s a man’s man. He’s standup as all standup, but he said I’ll do it in the PFL Smart Cage after the fight [with Jake Paul]. He’s got a standing offer between $10-15 million and he’s hiding behind a rock.”

Diaz reportedly took home a $500,000 payday for his scrap with Jake Paul inside the squared circle earlier this year, but that number may have tripled after his share of the pay-per-view revenue rolled in. Still, if Davis is to be believed, Nate Diaz could see the biggest payday of his life should he choose to come out of the woodwork and take the offer.

“$10-15 million. Biggest payday of his life,” Davis continued. “He gets beat by Jake and he’s hiding behind a rock.”

“For the record: Jake Paul will not be boxing Nate Diaz again,” MVP posted on their official X account. “Nate Diaz and Jake Paul have received an offer from @PFLMMA to rematch in MMA in the SmartCage. Jake Paul has accepted the offer.”

Weighing up a return to mixed martial arts following his boxing debut loss to Paul, one-time lightweight title challenger, Diaz was the subject of speculation regarding a comeback to the UFC, in the form of long-awaited clashes with former interim gold holder, Dustin Poirier, as well as an overdue trilogy rubber match with Conor McGregor.

Calling for a boxing rematch with Paul first, Diaz then claimed he would fight the Ohio striker in a professional mixed martial arts trilogy fight.
