Jake Paul will make his return to the boxing ring on December 15.

In August, the ‘Problem Child’ earned his seventh career victory in the squared circle, scoring a unanimous decision victory over ex-UFC star Nate Diaz after 10 rounds of entertaining action.

Paul’s next opponent won’t be announced until October 27, but the bout is expected to go down as a part of DAZN’s next big pay-per-view event.

“Jake’s star power and popularity have proved that he has what it takes to command massive audiences worldwide and become the biggest name in boxing. In just eight professional fights so far, Jake has already demonstrated his historical commercial draw, that he is a force to be reckoned with, and that he is on the way to making an everlasting impact on the sport inside and outside the ring,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions.

“We are proud to partner with DAZN to bring Jake Paul back to global audiences on December 15th as he continues his unwavering pursuit to become a world champion and put on massive events” (h/t Boxing Scene).

Jake Paul is on a Mission to Become a World Champion

The bout will be available around the globe on DAZN, the same outlet that hosted Jake Paul’s scrap with Nate Diaz in addition to older brother Logan Paul’s clash with Dillon Danis on Saturday night in Manchester.

“Jake Paul is a superstar in and out the ring and we are excited to once again have him fighting on DAZN,” said Joe Markowski, CEO of DAZN North America. “And what a run of shows DAZN has for you in December! Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney, Regis Prograis, Sunny Edwards, Bam Rodriguez and of course Jake Paul all fighting live and only on DAZN.”

After suffering the first loss of his career against undefeated British boxing standout Tommy Fury in February, Jake Paul bounced back against Nate Diaz. He’ll look to kickstart a new win streak when he steps back into the ring for the third time in 2023.

“8 fights in the boxing game and I’m already its biggest name,” Paul said. “I’ve proved that I can headline the biggest global events and defy the odds. PPV after PPV after PPV, and I’m just getting started. My mission is to be a world champion and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get there. December 15th is the next step on my journey, and I promise you’re not going to want to miss it.”

Recent reports suggested that Paul and his team had been in contact with former UFC standout and recently released WWE Superstar Matt Riddle for a potential showdown in the squared circle.

Nate Diaz calls for Jake Paul boxing rematch on New Year's Eve MMA fight trilogy

Former UFC welterweight contender and lightweight title challenger, Nate Diaz has elcoemd the possibility of a year-end boxing bout rematch with Jake Paul – before sharing the cage with the Ohio boxer in a trilogy clash under the unified mixed martial arts ruleset.

Diaz, who made his professional boxing debut back in August, suffered a one-sided unanimous decision loss to the outspoken, Paul in his first venture into the squared circle.

In his most recent Octagon walk, Stockton fan-favorite, Diaz managed to turn in a spectacular come-from-behind win over former interim lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson, submitting his fellow veteran with a fourth round guillotine choke submission win in an impromptu UFC 279 headliner in September of last year at the welterweight limit.

Nate Diaz calls for December boxing match with Jake Paul

And despite links and flirting on his own part to a future return to the UFC, Diaz appears to have now switched full focus to a second boxing match with the polarizing, Paul, before then claiming the duo should fight each other in a mixed martial arts bout, as part of a trilogy matchup.

“Your (sic) full of sh*t I didn’t ask for sh*t,” Nate Diaz posted on his official X account. “I’ll fight u tomorrow n MMA the problem is u suck and I don’t work for p*ssyFL [PFL] dumbass, u do. Rematch is in boxing trilogy is in MMA u need time to train anyway u suck. New Year’s Eve is good.”

A former lightweight title challenger under the UFC banner and victor on The Ultimate Fighter, Diaz, who holds a stunning rear-naked choke submission win over global star and former two-weight Octagon titleholder, Conor McGregor – was beckoned to return to the promotion by the Dubliner recently, who stressed how he owed him a rubber match

“It was not great, not great” Conor McGregor said of Nate Diaz’s fight with Jake Paul. “I’d like to see him back in MMA. You know, I owe him a fight – I owe Nate a fight. So, I’ve got to obligate that. He gave me the rematch, I got the better of him, and I owe him the trilogy for sure.”

Jake Paul reportedly in talks to fight recently released WWE Superstar

Jake Paul’s next bout could come against former UFC fighter and WWE Superstar Matt Riddle.

That is according to a report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter which claims that the two parties are in preliminary talks for a matchup that could see them compete in either boxing or mixed martial arts.

“There were at least talks that were expected to take place this week regarding Jake Paul vs. Matt Riddle,” according to the newsletter (via BodySlam.net). “At best, the talk right now should be categorized as very preliminary.

“Ultimately it’s a call that will be made on Paul’s side. If it’s boxing rules, it’s likely an easy safe fight for Paul and Riddle would be doing it for a payday. If it’s MMA rules, it’s intriguing because Paul would be younger and has been fighting while Riddle hasn’t, and the size isn’t an issue like it was with Paul boxing guys like Nate Diaz and Tyron Woodley.

“But Riddle has kept up his jiu-jitsu training throughout his WWE career. There are wrestling companies who have shown interest but no deal is believed to be close to happening nor could any until 12/20.”

Currently, Jake Paul is two months removed from scoring his seventh career win inside the boxing ring, defeating ex-UFC fan favorite Nate Diaz in an entertaining 10-round scrap and is gearing up to watch his brother, Logan Paul, return to the ring for a clash with BJJ specialist Dillon Danis on October 14.

Matt Riddle’s Recent WWE Release Could Lead Him to a Big-Money Fight with Jake Paul in the PFL

While most will know Matt Riddle for his work in professional wrestling, longtime UFC fans likely recall Riddle as being one of the more promising competitors in the promotion’s welterweight division for a period of time. Making his debut in 2008, Riddle won five of his first six bouts. Unfortunately, his career in combat sports came to a halt after testing positive for marijuana twice in the span of seven months, turning two of his victories into no contests.

Riddle was ultimately released from the UFC and made one more appearance in MMA before turning his attention to sports entertainment.

Rising through the ranks, Riddle signed with the WWE in 2018 and became one of the promotion’s more popular acts. Sadly, history repeated itself as Riddle had been found in violation of the WWE’s wellness policy on two separate occasions. That matched with a sexual assault allegation levied against him by indie wrestler Candy Cartwright and his heavily publicized relationship with adult film star Misha Montana was all the WWE needed to finally part ways with Riddle.

The WWE released Riddle in September 2023 and he will remain under a 90-day non-compete clause before he can make a return to the spotlight with a different organization.

With the PFL gearing up for a push into its pay-per-view era, could we see Matt Riddle make a return to mixed martial arts for a showdown with Jake Paul inside the Smart Cage?

Logan Paul plans to put liens on every paycheck Dillon Danis earns ‘For the rest of his life’ amid lawsuit

Logan Paul

Jake and Logan Paul believe they’ve got Dillon Danis backed into a corner after the latter’s fiancee, Nina Agdal, filed a lawsuit against the BJJ specialist last month.

Dillon Danis is scheduled to compete for the first time in more than four years when he steps inside the squared circle for a showdown with Logan Paul in Manchester, England. The pair will throw hands in the co-main event of Misfits Boxing’s ‘The PRIME Card’ on October 14.

To try and build hype for the fight with the WWE Superstar, Danis targeted Agdal online, posting NSFW images of the Danish swimsuit model and attempting to slut-shaming her over a series of past relationships. Danis’s trolling tactics caused his social media numbers to skyrocket, but after sharing a sexually explicit photo of Agdal taken during a “romantic encounter” more than a decade ago, Danis finds himself in violation of state and federal ‘revenge porn’ laws that could have him on the hook for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Speaking about the situation on their podcast BS w/ Jake Paul, the brothers discussed Danis’ potentially dire situation and their belief that the former Bellator fighter is now in desperate need of a payday.

“He has to fight now because he has tons of lawyers to pay for,” Jake Paul said. “Probably for the next… Two, three years worth, and if you have good lawyers, he said 400k in lawyer fees. It’s probably gonna be more than that actually because if he pulls out, he still has to pay the lawyer fees because the lawsuit is still there and he still has to pay the 100k. I bet you in his bank account… I’ve done a little math and I think Dillon Danis has about $60,000 to his name and that’s being generous.”

Logan Paul Wants to Hit Dillon Danis Where It Hurts for the Rest of His Life

The ‘Problem Child’ suggested that without this fight, Danis could very well find himself declaring bankruptcy with all the looming lawyer fees and potential damages he could be liable for.

“Even then, it doesn’t end. You put liens on every paycheck he earns for the rest of his life,” Logan Paul added.

“He doesn’t know that what he did was wrong. I also think people are confused about what the lawsuit is. I think a lot of people think it’s about the photos he’s been posting. The photos that are online. It’s not. It’s about a serious crime he committed and to be honest… I don’t know if I want to or even can or should dive in that much because I don’t want to undermine the justice system. It speaks for itself and I don’t want this to appear like fight promotion.

“The lawsuit has nothing to do with me, bro. This is Nina’s thing. This is her decision. I support her 100 f*cking percent. I love that girl so much and this has been crazy for both of us.”

Social media sensation Jake Paul sent a word of warning to Canelo Álvarez following the Mexican boxing superstar’s dominant win on Saturday night.

Returning to T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Canelo secured his 60th career win with a decisive unanimous decision victory over Jermell Charlo to retain the undisputed super middleweight world championship. It was the first time that two undisputed titleholders had squared off in men’s boxing history.

The victory appeared to signal a return to form for Canelo who had received a significant amount of criticism following his three prior performances. However, the ‘Problem Child’ was still left unimpressed by what he saw and shared his desire to show the iconic pugilist what real power looks like inside the ring.

“Yeah Charlo is not really giving him anything, not really giving him that power,” Paul said in a clip from IFN Boxing on X. “Yeah, wait till Canelo gets my power, you know? Just wait, brother.”

It’s a rather bold statement from Jake Paul considering his power wasn’t enough to stop, or even earn a win over Tommy Fury in February.

Canelo Álvarez Open to a Fight with Jake Paul

Even with 62 pro fights under his belt, Canelo Álvarez is still just 33 years old, meaning he could have plenty of years left to compete at the highest possible level. But when he does decide to hang up his gloves for good, he’s more than willing to step inside the ring against Jake Paul for what would likely be an exhibition bout.

“When I’m done with boxing, why not? Maybe. Maybe I do it,” Alvarez told Full Send. “Why not? I think it’s good because other people who never watch boxing, they don’t know anything about boxing. They wanna watch Jake Paul because he brings fans from other worlds, not boxing fans. That’s good, because everybody enjoy it. What they do, I think they do for business and you need to respect that.”

Following his win over Charlo in Sin City, Canelo didn’t particularly care to speculate on who he would face next but was confident that his next bout would be during Cinco de Mayo weekend in 2024.

Rampage Jackson Nate Diaz

Rampage Jackson has recently shared a story about the night of the Nate Diaz and Jake Paul fight and claims Diaz went into the boxing match with an injury.

The fight occurred back in August, and Paul handed Diaz a pretty convincing beat down on his way to a decision victory over the former UFC star. Many thought Diaz didn’t quite look like himself that night, and according to Rampage Jackson: he just truly wasn’t.

“It was a very entertaining fight, in my opinion,” Jackson said on his podcast. He was in attendance that night, and after the fight, he went backstage and checked on Nate Diaz personally. “I watched it as entertainment. You know I’m going for Nate, Nate’s always been one of the realest O.Gs. I’m going for him, but he just didn’t look like himself.”

Rampage Jackson details Nate Diaz disclosing the injury to him in the locker room after the fight

“And then I went into the locker room later,” Rampage Jackson continued. “I don’t know if he said this to the press, but he was injured. He had a pulled muscle in there. And I can tell, I said ‘Man, what’s wrong with you,’ because one of his pecs was smaller than the other. ‘Oh man, I got a f—ed up pinched nerve in my back.’”

This injury essentially forced the Stockton native to change tactics leading into the fight and completely altered the way he was going to approach Jake Paul in the boxing ring.

Jackson went on to say that he was very impressed that Diaz didn’t lean on his injury as a crutch to excuse his loss to Paul. “I respect that because I got an excuse with all my losses,” Jackson chuckled. “You lose respect when you talk excuses, but yeah I got excuses for all my losses.”

As far as Rampage Jackson goes, he’s preparing for a fight against former TUF 10 contestant Darrill Schoonover. The two got into a beef of sorts when Jackson began referring to the quite heavyset man as “Titties”, and now the duo is looking to settle the score.

What do you think about Jackson’s story about his encounter with Nate Diaz after the Jake Paul fight?
