Dana White and the UFC were in a generous mood tonight, as they have given every fighter that finished their opponent a bonus at UFC Austin.
There was a total of 8 finishes by KO/TKO on the entire card, tying the previous record for most KO’s or TKO’s in a card. The card will go down as one of the best Fight Nights in recent history, as there was something to get excited about with every fight. The card started off with fireworks, foreshadowing what was to come for the next few hours. Roman Dolidze got the party started with a huge KO over Kyle Daukaus, who as a bit of a heavy favorite in the bout.
That was just the start, as there were some more mind blowing knockouts, as Ricardo Ramos had one of the most beautiful spinning elbow KO’s ever. Ramos caught Danny Chavez early in the first round of the fight. He fainted a body shot with the left, and spun and hit him with the elbow.
The fighters going home with the Bonus include:
Roman Dolidze
Phil Hawes
Cody Stamann
Ricardo Ramos
Jeremiah Wells
Adrian Yanez
Gregory Rodrigues
Joaquin Buckley
Kevin Holland (Sub)
Dana White had also given a bonus to Josh Emmett and Calvin Kattar for their ‘Fight of the Night’ bout
Kattar and Emmett went toe to toe for five grueling rounds, in a razor close fight that saw Emmett get his hand raised. Both Kattar and Emmett had some great moments in the fight, but it seems as if the judges had given the fight to Emmett, due to the power he was hitting Kattar with. He threw every punch with intention of ending the fight, as Kattar was fighting more technically according to the judges scorecards. One could argue that the decision could have gone either way, depending on how it was judged.

Edging his fifth consecutive victory as part of an eye-catching winning spree, UFC featherweight contender, Josh Emmett rounds out tonight’s UFC Austin card with a close, split decision (48-47, 47-48, 48-47) win against the #4 ranked, Calvin Kattar at the Moody Center.
Entering tonight’s event — which came as his second in a headlining bout for the organization, Josh Emmett had managed to land another close victory over common-foe, Dan Ige at UFC 269 back in December of last year.
Sharing a tentative opening round tonight, however, Emmett was forced to deal with a cut just to the left of the same side eye courtesy of a consistent jab from Kattar in the opening round — with the laceration increasing in size off the back of a spinning elbow from the Massachusetts native.
Despite a bright start from Sacramento native, Emmett in both the first, second, and third rounds — Kattar managed to rally well in the fourth and fifth, landing both frames, arguably, however, it proved too little, too late for the slick New England Cartel mainstay, who suffers his fourth Octagon loss in a hugely close back-and-forth.
Below, catch the highlights from Josh Emmett’s nail-biting split decision win over Calvin Kattar

Taking main event honors in ‘The Lone Star State’ — a featherweight pairing between division contenders, Calvin Kattar, and Josh Emmett.
Attempting to land his second straight victory since a one-sided ‘Fight Island’ loss to former champion, Max Holloway, Kattar returned to the Octagon in January with a brutally one-sided win of his own against Giga Chikadze.
As for Emmett, the surging knockout ace scored his fourth consecutive victory back in December at UFC 269, battling over the course of three back-and-forth rounds to defeat common-foe, Dan Ige.
A lightweight pairing between Donald Cerrone and Joe Lauzon was scheduled to take co-headlining honors at the event, however, the bout has since been cancelled by the organization after Lauzon suffered a leg injury ahead of tonight’s return to Austin.

UFC featherweight Josh Emmett has questioned how anyone can deny former two-division champion Henry Cejudo’s return requests. Cejudo scaled both the bantamweight and flyweight mountains in the UFC before announcing his retirement in 2020. The decision came after “Triple C” successfully defended the 135-pound gold against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249, a victory that marked…
But despite hanging up his gloves, Cejudo has never truly been out of the conversation, and has often teased a comeback, which has included callouts of multiple fighters. Those teases became more legitimate earlier this year when the 35-year-old re-entered the USADA testing pool.
Now, Cejudo has set his sights on recapturing the title he vacated two years ago. The bantamweight gold is currently held by Aljamain Sterling, and while it appears that T.J. Dillashaw is the frontrunner to challenge “Funk Master” next, Cejudo has made it clear that there is more than one former champion eyeing the target on Sterling’s chest.
Although the fanbase has appeared largely split in terms of whether Cejudo deserves to return from retirement straight into a championship fight, #7-ranked featherweight Josh Emmett firmly sits on one side of the fence.
During a recent interview with Helen Yee, which came ahead of his crucial main event contest with Calvin Kattar this weekend at UFC Austin, Emmett discussed Cejudo’s potential return.
Given Cejudo’s accomplishments in the sport, as well as his Olympic success, Emmett doesn’t understand how the former champ-champ’s ambitions can be turned down.
“It’s awesome. Cejudo, I was a huge fan of him, wrestling-wise,” said Emmett. “He was like, the youngest American to win a gold medal. I had his wrestling shoes in college. But yeah, I think it’s great. He’s done a lot of things: he was the flyweight champion, the bantamweight champion, he’s an Olympic gold medalist. How can you not give him what he wants?”
While Cejudo maintains aspirations of turning “Triple C” into “C4,” it appears he’ll have to go through Sterling before setting up a superfight with the featherweight kingpin.
"I promise you man, I will take your head off in front of your own people, dude."

The UFC makes the trip to Austin this weekend with one of the most stacked Fight Night cards of the year.
Calvin Kattar vs. Josh Emmett promises to be stacks of featherweight fun, whilst a co-main event between Joe Lauzon and Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone is one for the long-time fans of the sport.
Mix in bouts featuring the likes of Kevin Holland, Adrian Yanez, and Joaquin Buckley, and this should truly be a Fight Night to remember. Join LowKick MMA as we break down our top 3 bets for this weekend’s event.
Calvin Kattar vs. Josh Emmett
In the main event of the night, Calvin Kattar takes on Josh Emmett in a featherweight bout that will see the victor cement themself in the top five of the division.
Emmett is a solid fighter with two very strong weapons in his arsenal. Those being solid wrestling and one-punch KO power. However, unfortunately for him, Calvin Kattar is not only excellent at defending takedowns but is also incredibly durable.
Emmett may well have some success early on, but watch for Kattar to begin asserting dominance as the fight goes on. His striking is clinical and brutally effective, to the point where it would not be a surprise to see him finish the fight in the later rounds.
The evolution of @CalvinKattar into one of the best 145ers in the world
Kattar’s ML is currently at 1.44 on Betway, which is priced relatively accurately. If you feel confident about Kattar’s chances of finishing the fight, then his KO line is at a rather appealing 3.10. However, we will parlay his ML with one of the bigger favorites on the card, such as Jasmine Jasdavicious or Ricardo Ramos.
Pick: Calvin Kattar ML parlayed with Jasdavicious ML.
Joe Lauzon vs. Donald Cerrone
A bout between two fan-favorite MMA veterans takes the co-main event slot of UFC Vegas 57. After the bout was initially canceled due to ‘Cowboy’ suffering food poisoning, fans will finally be able to see Donald Cerrone and Joe Lauzon throw down this weekend.
There are a number of intriguing caveats to this fight that may sway bettors to one side or the other. We will be backing the underdog, Joe Lauzon. Cerrone has remained the more active fighter, but he is winless in his past six octagon appearances. In four of these performances, ‘Cowboy’ was finished inside the distance.
Lauzon admittedly has not competed since 2019 but is coming off a win, having knocked out Jonathan Pearce in the first round. We will be banking on Lauzon’s finishing ability, as well as the diminishing durability of Cerrone.
Lauzon’s ML can be found at 2.40 on Betway, which is the line we will take. However, it may also be worth taking a stab at Lauzon to win in Rnd 1, priced at 6.50.
Adrian Yanez vs. Tony Kelly & Cody Stamann vs. Eddie Wineland
For our final bet, we will put together a parlay from two UFC bantamweight prelims bouts.
Adrian Yanez is one of the division’s biggest prospects, and should be facing a higher level of opposition at this point. Not to say that Tony Kelly isn’t a talented fighter, he clearly is, as shown in his recent win over Randy Costa. However, Yanez has that something special, and this will be yet another opportunity to display exactly why so many MMA hardcore fans are hyped about him.
Cody Stamann is a solid fighter in the prime of his career, having already defeated the likes of Brian Kelleher, and Alejandro Perez. He takes on a veteran of the game in the form of Eddie Wineland. With his debut taking place in 2003, Wineland is one of the most experienced fighters on the entire UFC roster. However, bantamweight is not a division that is kind to fighters in the twilight of their careers. Wineland is coming off back-to-back KO losses and has not won in the UFC since 2019.
Parlaying Yanez and Stamann’s Money Lines gives us 1.56 odds on Betway.
Pick: Adrian Yanez & Cody Stamann ML.
