Video footage appears to show former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson in a physical altercation with a fellow plane passenger.

We’ve had Conor McGregor versus an elderly man in a pub, Jorge Masvidal versus Colby Covington outside a restaurant, McGregor (again) versus Machine Gun Kelly, and, guess what? McGregor (again, again…) versus an Italian DJ.

But today’s installment of combat athletes engaging in a public scrap has seen legendary former boxer Tyson versus an apparent troublemaker on a plane.

In two phone recordings obtained by TMZ, which have since gone viral on social media, we can see the development from Tyson seemingly being hassled by a fellow passenger during a Jet Blue flight, to Tyson dealing with said passenger with a fist that no sane man would want to get in the way of.

Check out the wild footage below:

In the aftermath of the incident, the man can be seen in his seat with visible cuts on one side of his face. Given that the man he interacted with was once regarded as “The Baddest Man On The Planet,” it’s probably safe to say he was fortunate to escape with just a few cuts.

Unsurprisingly, fighters, fans, and pundits alike have defended Tyson’s response, questioning what was going through the passenger’s mind when he seemingly chose to agitate the former undisputed world heavyweight champion.

The idea that provoking a combat sports athlete needs warning against is surprising, retired or otherwise. Nonetheless, today’s lesson is simple: don’t mess with “Iron Mike.”

What do you make of Mike Tyson’s response? Was he justified in physically striking the man?

Boxing Hall of Famer Mike Tyson lost his cool when a passenger on the airplane kept provoking him.

On Wednesday night, Mike Tyson boarded a flight to Florida from San Francisco International Airport around 10.30 PM PT. Along with ‘Iron’ Mike were fellow passengers and the victim, who have been reported to get along well with the boxing legend initially. A witness reports taking selfies with the retired boxer and recalls Tyson being patient with the overzealous fan.

Sitting just behind Tyson on the flight, the enthusiastic man kept trying to talk to the 55-year-old fighter. He was rebuked by Tyson for his provocative behaviour but continued to repeat his actions even after he was told to chill out.

As per the witness report, Tyson lost his cool and attacked the man when he did not take heed to his advice as he attempted to bother him again. He landed several blows in the man’s face as he let on an onslaught of punches.

In a video obtained by TMZ Sports, Mike Tyson can be seen punching the man seated behind him multiple times causing him to bleed from the face.

Mike Tyson was reported to have walked off the plane seconds after the incident. The man who was assaulted received medical attention and went to the police with a bloodied forehead. No comments have been made by the cops, JetBlue, or Tyson’s team yet.

Gun pulled on Mike Tyson in recent controversies

Earlier in March this year, Mike Tyson was at a comedy show in Hollywood, California when a man pulled out his gun and challenged him to a boxing fight. Once known as ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, Tyson has worked hard to transform himself into a new identity, much different from his past self.

His most recent controversy surrounds him against another man who didn’t seem to understand proper boundaries. The man was reported to have been quite drunk during the incident which may help explain his stubborn behavior.

No developments on the filings or any pressing of charges have been reported at this time.

Do you think Mike Tyson was right to punch the man?

Henry Cejudo is close to finalizing a new business venture with Mike Tyson.

Cejudo has been a frequent co-host on Tyson’s podcast and the two have become close. Now, ‘Triple C’ says the two of them are releasing instructional videos, with the one being on dynamic striking with Tyson showing Cejudo some of his combinations.

“Yeah, it was cool, man. So me and Tyson, we’re gonna start an instructional DVD together with dynamic striking. And it’s actually Mike Tyson teaching me a lot of his combinations,” Cejudo said on Triple C & The Schmo (via Essentially Sports). “As you watch guys like Larry Holmes, a lot of the knockouts that he’s done. Like literally Mike Tyson to be walking us through of what he’s done and one and what one other than Triple C meant to be in there.

“And you know, it’s legendary man. It’s a legendary moment because Mike Tyson has never done any instructional videos. This will be the first time in Mike Tyson’s career that he’s coming up with an instructional boxing DVD based on his style of boxing.”

If Tyson and Cejudo do end up releasing this, it does seem like a lot of fans would buy it to learn striking from of the best heavyweight boxers of all time.

As for Henry Cejudo, he recently revealed he is re-entering the USADA testing pool as he is looking to return to fighting in the very near future. He has been vocal about wanting to fight Alexander Volkanovski but perhaps he returns to bantamweight and tries to reclaim his bantamweight title.

For now, Cejudo is doing his show and now working on this business venture with Mike Tyson. Along with that, he has become one of the main coaches at Fight Ready and has recruited a ton of top talent to the gym.

Will you be buying this DVD instructional video with Mike Tyson and Henry Cejudo?

Feared former heavyweight boxing world champion, Mike Tyson made his return to the squared circle for an exhibition boxing match against fellow former world kingpin, Roy Jones Jr. back in 2020. And has now revealed that a DMT (N, N-Dimethyltryptamine) experience involving a toad, inspired his brief return to the sport.

Tyson, revered as arguably the most feared knockout puncher in the history of professional boxing, made a 2020 boxing return in the form of an exhibition outing against the above mentioned, Jones Jr. at a Triller Fight Club promoted event – battling over the course of eight rounds to an eventual split decision draw

The outing came as Tyson’s first in the form of an exhibition since his November 2006 matchup against Corey Sanders – with the knockout kingpin still yet to snap his June 2005 professional retirement following a loss to Kevin McBride.

Detailing his journey back to the squared circle during a recent appearance of UFC color commentator, Joe Rogan’s podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience – Tyson revealed that a toad had instructed him to carry out his return whilst carrying out a DMT experience.

“I did this toad, this DMT stuff, and I lost the weight,” Mike Tyson said. “I don’t know what happened, I just said I’m going to do this. I did this toad and the toad said, ‘You gotta do this… you have to do it.’”

When asked by Rogan if “the toad told you? The DMT toad told you, you have to fight?” – Mike Tyson replied, “Yeah, ‘You have to do it,’ And I lost the weight.”

Tyson then explained how initially, plans were in place for him to make an exhibition boxing return against mixed martial arts veteran, Bob Sapp – as well as former two-time professional heavyweight title rival, Evander Holyfield – before a bout with Jones Jr. was eventually sealed.

“It started with me fighting Bob Sapp, that was going to be the first fight,” Mike Tyson said. “The fight with Roy Jones (Jr.) was supposed to be with Bob Sapp. Roy Jones got involved, other fighters got involved, (Evander) Holyfield got involved and it turned into a fiasco. Then the young guy, Jake Paul, he got involved and that’s how the birth of Jake Paul became.”

Mike Tyson landed a jaw-dropping 44 separate knockout wins during his professional career

During his decorated professional career, Tyson would land multiple world heavyweight titles, landing a series of victories over the likes of Marvis Frazier, Trevor Berbick, Tyrell Biggs, Larry Holmes, Tony Tubbs, Michael Spinks, Frank Bruno, Donovan Ruddock, Peter McNeeley, Uster Mathis Jr., Bruce Seldon, and Francois Botha.

Former UFC heavyweight turned popular podcaster Brendan Schaub recently told Mike Tyson, to his face, that he thinks the current WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, would’ve beaten him.

Schaub was part of a four-hour-long podcast called ‘The Lion’s Den with Mike Tyson and Friends‘ and during the show, the question was asked, “Mike Tyson in his prime vs Tyson Fury in his prime. Who wins?”

Before Tyson had a chance to answer Schaub jumped in to share his opinion about the hypothetical fight between two of the all-time heavyweight greats

“Mike, before you answer, this is no disrespect but for me, technically-wise, Fury can go defense,” Schaub said. “His footwork is great. To me, as far as technique-wise, he is the best we’ve ever had.”

‘Iron Mike’ seemed to shrug off Schaub’s comment and the question. Tyson takes pride in the fact ‘The Gypsy King’ was named in his honour.

“Listen, just him being Tyson Fury shows my greatness,” Tyson replied. “I don’t know. I don’t care if he could beat me or not. His name is Tyson. He can beat me but I don’t care he is named after the greatest fighter that ever lived.” (Transcribed by GiveMeSport)

Mike Tyson Appears To Be Done With Boxing

The former heavyweight king returned to boxing after 15 years in retirement when he faced Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition bout in November 2020. Tyson recently suggested that he would not fight again as what he saw as a fun comeback others viewed as the chance to make money.

“Guys want to fight me for $100 million,” Tyson said on The Full Send podcast. “I don’t think I’ll ever do stuff like that anymore. I wanted to do it the first time [against Jones], just for fun, to have fun. Some people took it to another level and made it financial and the fun went out of it.”

Do you agree with Brendan Schaub? How do you think Mike Tyson vs. Tyson Fury would’ve played out?
