When Paige VanZant’s Airport Mix-Up Lead to Embarrassing Sex Tape Reveal

In a hilariously awkward turn of events, former UFC star Paige VanZant inadvertently revealed the existence of a sex tape during an airport identity mix-up.

Paige VanZant’s Sex Tape?

Paige VanZant took her story to X, explaining that she was en route to Texas when airline staff questioned her identity. The booking was made under her professional name, VanZant, rather than her legally married name, Paige Vanderford. To resolve the confusion, the bare-knuckle boxer and AEW wrestler decided to prove her identity by googling herself in front of the staff.

The plan backfired spectacularly when the first search result displayed was an article referencing a sex tape she made with her husband, Bellator fighter Austin Vanderford.

“Let’s just say I won’t be googling myself in public anytime soon,” VanZant joked on social media, sharing her mortification.

Earlier this year, during an Instagram Q&A, VanZant had confirmed the existence of the tape, stating, “Would I ever share it, sell it, promote it? Hmm, that’s a different story.” The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, seems content keeping the tape private, though VanZant has capitalized on her allure through a subscription-based platform featuring risqué content.

Paige VanZant’s career has taken several twists and turns since her UFC debut at age 20. After amassing a 5-4 record in the promotion, she transitioned to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, professional wrestling with AEW, and even Dana White’s Power Slap league. While she’s hinted at a potential return to the cage, she admits fighting has become more of a “part-time hobby.”

Despite setbacks in combat sports, VanZant has found financial success outside the ring. Her modeling and subscription-based content reportedly earned her more than her fighting career ever did. As for whether the infamous tape will ever see the light of day, fans will just have to keep wondering, though VanZant’s latest airport anecdote proves that sometimes, the internet has a sense of humor.

Alex Pereira Claims Next UFC Title Fight Won't Be Against No. 1 Contender Magomed Ankalaev

Alex Pereira is looking forward to his first title defense of 2024.

After a monstrous 2024 that saw him bag big highlight-reel knockouts over Jamahal Hill, Jiri Prochazka, and Khalil Rountree, ‘Poatan’ is planning to go even bigger in 2025.

Originally, all signs pointed toward Pereira putting his light heavyweight title on the line against top-ranked contender Magomed Ankalaev in the first quarter of the year. However, that may no longer be the case according to the ‘Brazilian Boogeyman.’

Recently, Pereira posted a clip from his fourth-round finish of ‘The War Horse’ at UFC 307. Interestingly, in the caption, he wrote, “It won’t be Ankalaev!” accompanied by a cry laughing emoji on Instagram.

It’s possible that Pereira could be trolling Ankalaev, something he’s been known to do on social media from time to time.

On the other hand, Pereira’s words could be 100% legit considering his targeted return is in March 2025, smack dab in the middle of Ramadan — a holy month in the Islamic calendar that Ankalaev observes every year.

If not magomed ankalaev, then who’s next for alex pereira?

Unfortunately, there are few other options for Pereira at 205. He’s already ran through everyone in the light heavyweight top five aside from Aleksandar Rakic and it’s unlikely ‘Rocket’ would get the nod after coming up short in his last three outings.

Carlos Ulberg already has a bout booked for March against ex-champion Jan Blachowicz.

That just leaves Nikita Krylov, the No. 8 ranked contender in the division.

Krylov is sitting on a three-fight win streak with finishes against Alexander Gustafsson and Ryan Spann, making him the most viable title challenger outside of Ankalaev. Though most fight fans would probably agree that ‘The Miner’ still has some work to do before the UFC could justify giving him a title opportunity.

UFC Next for Dakota Ditcheva? PFL Champion Explains Reason for Potential Move

Dakota Ditcheva is already looking at a future beyond the limitations of the PFL.

After winning the PFL Europe flyweight tournament in 2023, ‘Dangerous’ ran the table during this year’s regular season tournament and playoffs, becoming the promotion’s first-ever global PFL flyweight world champion.

Even more impressive was the fact that she practically ran through former UFC title challenger Taila Santos to win her first $1 million paycheck. Santos previously went toe-to-toe with bantamweight queen Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 275 and in the eyes of many, did enough to dethrone ‘Bullet’ that night.

KO’ing Santos in the second round of their flyweight final, Ditcheva proved that she’s more than just a pretty face backed by the PFL hype machine. She’s a legitimate threat to any woman in any promotion, and after logging another year inside the Smart Cage, she hopes to test herself on a much bigger stage.

“I’m definitely with PFL because I’m in contract for at least another year anyway, so I’ve definitely not finished with them yet,” Ditcheva told talkSPORT. “I’ve got lots of things in the pipeline that we could possibly do. But I think, competition-wise, everyone kind of thinks you need to go to the UFC because they do see me as the top girl in PFL, especially now that I’ve beat Santos. You know, she—everyone thought she beat UFC world champion Valentina [Shevchenko].

“So everyone’s kind of a little bit like, before that fight, it was like, ‘How good is Dakota really? She hasn’t fought anyone,’ type thing. And then when I beat her, now it’s like, ‘Oh, who are you going to fight next?’”

What’s next for the undefeated dakota ditcheva?

Ditcheva is a perfect 14-0 in her mixed martial arts career with an incredible 93% finish rate, including 12 knockouts and one win via submission.

It remains to be seen if ‘Dangerous’ will compete in the 2025 PFL tournament or if the promotion will keep her out of the tournament in favor of a potential superfight.

Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of options for big-money fights under the PFL banner which is why she’s already plotting to follow in the footsteps of two-time PFL champion Kayla Harrison and leave the promotion in search of greener pastures and greater challenges.

Why Chael Sonnen Will Not be Getting a New Phone After Gilbert Burns Shares His Number Online

Chael Sonnen, the outspoken former UFC contender and MMA analyst, is making headlines again, this time, for refusing to replace his phone after fellow fighter Gilbert Burns leaked his personal number online. The incident ignited a frenzy in the MMA community.

Chael Sonnen

The drama began when the Brazilian-born MMA athlete Burns shared what he claimed was Sonnen’s phone number on Twitter. In a since-deleted post, Burns wrote, “Still with this number? +1 (***) ***-***. Calling you to see what’s up!” He accused Sonnen of disrespect, citing comments made on Sonnen’s show that implied Burns was “officially retired” from MMA.

Phone Ordeal

While many might have expected Sonnen to immediately replace his phone, the self-proclaimed “Bad Guy” revealed why that’s not an option. In his trademark candid style, Sonnen explained, “I can get another phone; that takes moments to do. As a matter of fact, a guy from Verizon contacted me and said, ‘I saw what Gilbert did. When it’s time for a new phone, just call me directly. I can actually teach you how to do it—you don’t even have to come into the store.’”

However, Sonnen’s decision isn’t about convenience—it’s about security. “Many security agents have a two-factor authentication—I’ve never been able to say that word—authenticate, authentication—which are tied to this number, including, in my case, crypto wallets. So I can’t just do away with this phone,” Sonnen said.

The situation took an intriguing turn when Sonnen reached out to Burns to address the issue. “I spoke to Gilbert, and Gilbert asked me, ‘By the way, why’d you say that?’ And I just answered him: ‘I thought I was backing you up,’” Chael Sonnen said.

Chael Sonnen

For now, Chael Sonnen seems unfazed by the ordeal, opting to keep his current phone number despite the flood of calls and messages it triggered. The former fighter’s resilience answered calls from MMA fans on his YouTube channel turning the entire ordeal on its head. He used this moment to create engaging content, another W for the “Bad Guy.”

Colby Covington Knocked Out of Poker Tournament - Losses Accumulate

Colby Covington, a household name in the uUFC, faced an early exit at the highly anticipated World Series of Poker Paradise event. The UFC athlete is known for his outspoken persona, is just coming off a TKO loss in his last bout, and continues the streak with a poker washout.

Colby Covington Knocked Out

The WSOP Paradise Super Main Event drew 1,978 players from around the globe. Covington joined a field teeming with poker pros and celebrities, but his run was cut short before Day 2, leaving him outside the 207-player threshold needed to secure a minimum $50,000 cash prize.

This latest setback follows a string of challenges for Colby Covington, who recently lost a UFC title fight to Leon Edwards at UFC 296 on December 16, 2023. Then he lost to Joaquin Buckley in Tampa this past week. In poker, Covington has displayed flashes of potential, with $237,058 in live tournament earnings, including a personal best cash of $48,298. However, his performance at WSOP Paradise leaves much to be desired.

The WSOP event is a multi-day poker festival, has drawn attention for its high-stakes competition and tropical setting. For Covington, the journey to success, whether in the Octagon or at the poker table, remains an uphill battle.
