Footage has emerged over the weekend, of a Michael Jackson impersonator on the Las Vegas, Nevada strip – subduing a man who appears to be intoxicated, utilizing a swift outside trip before eventually wrapping up a bulldog choke, and an omoplata.

Shared on Twitter by podcaster, Marcus Deegan, the Michael Jackson impersonator receives a frail outside leg kick attempt from the intoxicated man – who is sporting a green t-shirt, with the text, ‘Can’t Fix Stupid’, before securing a swift takedown courtesy of a well-timed outside trip.

Initially stacking the guard, the Michael Jackson impersonator soon establishes full-mount with very little defense from the man, now on bottom position, appears to be attempting to grab the Jackson impersonator’s jacket lapel, almost as if it were the collar of a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gi.

However, unable to maintain control, the Jackson impersonator quickly attempts to lock up a mounted triangle, and even threatens to tie up an armbar to boot – reminiscent of Amanda Nunes’ submission win over Megan Anderson last year, before he eventually loses his balance.

Defending by now pulling the locks of the Jackson impersonator, from top position, he elects to bail on the triangle attempt, and during the ensuing scramble, almost takes the back, but fails to establish either hook and instead bellies out his opponent and latches onto a bulldog choke.

The MIchael Jackson impersonator has seen his street fight submission go viral across social media

Shortly thereafter, the Jackson impersonator, with the bulldog choke more than secured, traps the assailant’s right arm between his leg, in a half-hearted omoplata, before bystanders eventually break the scuffle up.

Returning to his feet, after assessing the situation for some time, with teeth gritted, the intoxicated man appears to welcome an immediate rematch, before footage draws to a close.

Footage of the impromptu street fight even received the breakdown treatment from mixed martial arts commentator and analyst, Robin Black who shared his analysis across social media.

With the UFC set for another active period from the Apex facility in Las Vegas in the coming months, who knows if the ‘King of Pop’ impersonator will find himself locked inside the Octagon.

Dana White Says UFC Has No Say In Price Increase for the UFC PPV’s

UFC president Dana White says that the UFC has nothing to do with the UFC raising it’s price for PPV.

Earlier in the month, the PPV for UFC was bumped up from $69.99 to $74.99. White claims that he had no say in the decision and that it was an ESPN move, not a UFC move. The first PPV that will have the new price, would be UFC 270 that headline Ngannou vs Gane.

UFC 270 is next saturday, January 21st and the price hike will continue for every PPV after as well. Many fans and fighters have all voiced their displeasure, and it costs almost $1,000 a year to be a fan of the UFC. UFC and Dana White have been fighting against illegal streamers as well for a while now. This move will most likely have more people illegally streaming more now than ever.

Dana White was interviewed by MMA Junkie following the UFC on ESPN 32 when he was asked about the PPV increase for 2022

“We don’t have any say in that. We gave the pay-per-views to ESPN, so yeah, that’s their decision. You know how I feel about that stuff. I don’t love when prices get raised, but it’s not my decision. It’s theirs.” (Transcribed by MMAJunkie).

While the PPV fights the UFC has put on have been great cards, the cost to be a fan of the sport continues to rise year after year. For a sport that is trying to find its way in the mainstream, costing astronomical prices to watch the sport is not a good look. The first PPV that will be under the new price headlines some great fights between Ngannou and Gane for the heavyweight championship. It also has a great co-headliner featuring Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo, in a rematch for the flyweight title.

Does a PPV increase turn you off from the sport?

Francis Ngannou Doubts The Tyson Fury Fight Will Happen This Year

Francis NgannouUFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou doesn’t believe the crossover between him and boxing superstar Tyson Fury will take place anytime soon. Francis Ngannou

UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou doesn’t believe the crossover between him and boxing superstar Tyson Fury will take place anytime soon.

Ngannou believes that the fight will take place sometime in the future, but not in 2022. Fury had proposed that the two fight under boxing rules, but with MMA style gloves. It seems as if the boxer vs MMA fighter will not stop anytime soon. This would by far be the biggest fight between the two styles since the Conor McGregor – Floyd Mayweather fight back in 2017. That fight opened the floodgates to have boxers and MMA fighters meet up in the squared circle (or even most recently in a triangle) and go at it.

Ngannou believes that he may be able to bring a lot to the table that Fury’s opponents have not with his power and speed.

“Me and Tyson Fury may fight in 2023. It will be challenging, but I will throw some bombs at him that he will not have experienced before,” Ngannou told Stake. “I don’t know exactly when Tyson and I will fight. But I think maybe sometime in 2023. I am still under contract with UFC, so I don’t know right now the state of my situation or how it will play out. But I will say it will probably happen at some point. I definitely want to do it, but we don’t have control over it right now. I know it will be very tough when we fight. Not only am I coming from a distant sport, but I am testing myself against one of the best, if not the best, boxer ever.” (Transcribed by Mirror)

Francis Ngannou will defend his title for the first time at UFC 270 against former training partner, Ciryl Gane

Ngannou will be making his first title defense since he knocked out Stipe Miocic back in March of 2021. Since that time, Gane had beaten Derrick Lewis for the interim championship. Gane sports a perfect 10-0 record inside the octagon, and is one of the more complete fighters in the heavyweight division. He will be Ngannou’s biggest threat as he is the most technical striker he has ever fought.

Although Ngannou is looking forward to a fight with Fury, he should not take this next fight against Gane too lightly. We have seen many fighters overlook their opponents when looking forward to the future “bigger fights”.

Julianna Pena Would Like To Have A Match With Ronda Rousey

Julianna Pena

Women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Pena already has a few names she has been throwing around for her upcoming title defense.

Ronda Rousey is now on that short list, as she would love to bring the former UFC champion out of retirement for a grudge match. Rousey has not fought inside the UFC since her comeback fight against former champion Amanda Nunes. Nunes made quick work of Rousey in her comeback, as she TKO’d her in the first round.

Pena and Rousey’s rivalry dates back to Pena’s time on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. She was on the 18th season of the ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. Pena was on team Miesha Tate, who was the opposing coach to Rousey. Pena and Tate were close on the show, making Rousey dislike Pena as well, since she also didn’t like Tate.

Julianna Pena had a lot to say about Ronda Rousey in an interview with the NY Post.

“She really had a tough time getting along with me on The Ultimate Fighter. She didn’t like me at all because I was friends with Miesha Tate. She wasn’t the nicest. It would be amazing to pull Ronda Rousey back out of retirement,” Peña said. “It would be great to have her come back to UFC and fight again.”

Rousey has been out of the UFC since 2016 and lost her last two fights to Nunes and Holly Holm. She was a pioneer for women’s MMA and was the most dominant women’s fighter for many years. She started her professional MMA career 12-0, with 11 first round finishes.

Pena on the other hand just defeated Nunes in one of the biggest upsets in MMA history. Mostly everyone had Nunes beating Pena and many analysts and fans alike believe that Nunes is the greatest women’s fighter of all time. Pena is eyeing up a few fighters for her first title defense, but a rematch against Nunes is most likely what makes the most sense. Rousey coming out of retirement is a stretch, as she has recently had a baby with her husband and former UFC fighter Travis Browne.

Alexander Volkanovski, Calvin Kattar, Max Holloway

UFC featherweight legends Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway were just a few of the many MMA personalities who went wild during Calvin Kattar’s win over Giga Chikadze at UFC Vegas 46.

Kattar, who came into UFC Vegas 46 as the underdog to the surging Chikadze, put on arguably the best performance of his career in Las Vegas. He overwhelmed and pressured Chikadze from the opening minutes of the fight and turned the Georgian prospect’s face into a bloody mess.

After five rounds of back-and-forth war, Kattar earned the unanimous decision win and a clean sweep on the judges’ scorecards.

With the victory over Chikadze, Kattar has now won three of his last four and rebounded off of a lopsided defeat to Holloway last year. Just minutes after the fight, Volkanovski and Holloway took to Twitter to congratulate Kattar on his victory.

Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway Gave Props To Calvin Kattar After Dominant Win Over Giga Chikadze

Holloway was supposed to face Volkanovski in a trilogy for the featherweight title but pulled out due to an injury. Chikadze was among the names who offered to step up on short notice, but he ended up getting passed up for Chan Sung Jung.

Kattar went on to eliminate the possibility of Chikadze fighting for the title next with an impressive performance to start the new year. Many believe that it was only a matter of time until Chikadze fought for the belt, but he’ll now have to wait a bit longer.

Kattar could face the Volkanovski/Jung winner next, depending on how long Holloway will be sidelined with his injury. Kattar could also potentially fight either Brian Ortega or Yair Rodriguez next in the meantime.

Regardless, Kattar’s stock has risen from this latest win, and he appears to be in the best shape of his career following his most disappointing loss last year.

Talk about a triumphant return for Massachusetts striker, Calvin Kattar. Enduring a brutal beating at the hands of former featherweight champion, Max Holloway just a year ago — the #5 ranked contender returned to the Octagon tonight with a vengeance, bloodying, slicing, and battering the promotional-perfect, Giga Chikadze over five gruelling rounds to land his own unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-44) win at UFC Vegas 46.

Managing to capitalize on a slip from Chikadze who had previously landed some blistering kicks in the opening round, Kattar stole the first frame on all three judge’s scorecards with a well-timed takedown, in tandem with some top control.

From rounds two until five, however, the New England Cartel standout established and then further built up a considerable lead over his Kings MMA featherweight counterpart, slicing and bloodying with countless step-in and upward elbows.

Chikadze, hugely fatigued beyond the second round, attempted to fight back, but with constant pressure on the ticket from Kattar, the Tbilisi native faltered for the first time in his eight-fight UFC tenure, as The Bay State product returned to the winner’s enclosure in emphatic fashion.

Below, catch the highlights from Calvin Kattar’s bludgeoning of Giga Chikadze at UFC Vegas 46
