The bantamweight division might be seeing quite a bit of a shuffle up as the fringe top – 10 bantamweights edge ever so close to the bantamweight title, but they will need to face each other first. Pedro Munhoz will face off against American Rob Font in an interesting matchup at UFC Fight Night 119. Munhoz is all about Jiu-Jitsu and is a Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt who trains with the highly revered Black House.

Munhoz has been training hard and working on getting his striking on point from what we know and hopefully this will reflect in his fight against Font. So far, Munhoz has only been beaten by top 10 competitors Jimmie Rivera and Raphael Assuncao.

Moving onto Font, he holds a record of 14 – 2 and is known for being a powerful striker who not only can generate great force with his set of heavy hands, but also has very polished technique which makes him lethal at times. Font signed his UFC contract back in 2014 itself just like Munhoz, but has had an injury riddled career so far and ergo has not been as actively competing as Munhoz.

Both fighters are going to be coming into this fight with a solid game plan, and will have studied each other’s strengths and weaknesses without omitting any details. Munhoz will be the favorite though considering he has more experience under his belt and that Font may not be at 100% yet.

Coming to the prediction, it is going to be competitive and in fact, it could get neck to neck, but our money is on Munhoz for this one.

This packed weekend (November 18-19, 2016) gave fight fans an astounding four events from major promotions. With so many fighters in action and bouts being broadcast all day Saturday, you might have missed some. The all-female Invicta FC kicked off the weekend with its 20

The all-female Invicta FC kicked off the weekend with its 20th event, capped by two title fights. Then the world’s leading MMA promotion brought us an afternoon offering from Belfast, Northern Ireland, followed immediately by another one 5000 miles away in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Running concurrent to the second UFC card was an event from the second banana of MMA, Bellator. The Viacom-owned promotion trotted out a title fight of its own, pitting two-time champion Michael Chandler against former WEC and UFC king Benson Henderson.

We at LowKick are here to help sift through the debris. Who impressed, who disappointed, and who is just treading water in their respective divisions are the questions that will be considered. Read on for the answers.
