Former WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder has claimed a scheduled October boxing clash between former UFC heavyweight kingpin, Francis Ngannou, a former three-time opponent, Tyson Fury will be nothing more than a “boring” spectacle.

Set to make his first combat sports outing since he headlined UFC 270 back in January of last year, Batié knockout artist, Ngannou, who has employed the coaching talents of former world champion, Mike Tyson, most recently landed a unanimous decision win over Ciryl Gane to successfully unify the UFC titles.

As for Fury, the outspoken Morecambe native has been sidelined himself since December last, on that occasions defeating Derek Chisora for the third time in his professional career to defend the WBC title.

Deontay Wilder criticizes Francis Ngannou’s clash with Tyson Fury in October

However, as per Alabama native, Wilder, the former WBC heavyweight best has predicted a wholly “boring” pairing of Ngannou and Fury when they share the squared circle in two months’ time.

“I think it’s gonna be boring, in my gut, I feel it’s gonna be boring,” Deontay Wilder told ESNews during a recent interview. “I don’t think it’s gonna be an exciting fight. Because, I haven’t been in it, the heavyweight division is going down tremendously. The excitement about it is just not the same no more.”

“The heavyweight division has been f*cking dead,” Wilder explained. “I remember the time when it was like, ‘Damn, it’s good to be a heavyweight, the division is back.’ Now, you don’t feel no electricity at all. And we know what man brought that excitement.”

Himself linked with a long-rumored showdown against former world champion, Anthony Joshua, Wilder has been sidelined since he knocked out common-foe, Finnish heavyweight, Robert Helenius back in October of last year in Brooklyn, New York.

Francis Ngannou vows to shock the world in boxing match with Tyson Fury in October UFC

Tasked with ending the career-undefeated run of incumbent WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury in just his first professional boxing matchup, former UFC titleholder, Francis Ngannou claims he’s “ready to shock the world” when he draws the Morecambe native in October.

Ngannou, a former undisputed heavyweight champion under the banner of the UFC, has been sidelined from combat sports competition since he headlined UFC 270 back in January of last year, successfully unifying the division titles in a unanimous decision win over then-interim gold holder, Ciryl Gane.

Departing the Dana White-led promotion of his own volition back in January of this year, Cameroonian knockout artist, Ngannou has since penned a multi-fight deal with the PFL (Professional Fighters League), ahead of an expected return to mixed martial arts competition in the opening quarter of next year as part of a ‘superfight’ pay-per-view model.

However, in the time between, Batié veteran, Ngannou is set to sport a pair of boxing gloves inside the professional squared circle for the first time in his combat sports career, drawing unbeaten WBC heavyweight kingpin, Fury in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 28. as part of a massive showcase – over the course of 10 professional rounds to boot.

Francis Ngannou vows to upset the odds in October with a win over Tyson Fury

And despite retaining zero professional boxing experience, Ngannou, 36, dropped a fan-made poster ahead of the bout, promoting the event on his official social media – before claiming he would turn the world on it’s axis come the conclusion of his pairing with Fury.

“Ready to shock the world Oct. 28,” Francis Ngannou posted on his official X account.

And for Fury, the outspoken heavyweight champion will not be putting his WBC championship on the line in the clash, most recently defending the crown in a third career win over challenger, Derek Chisora back in December of last year at the Tottenham Hotspur ground in London, England.

Nate Diaz opens as massive favorite to beat Jake Paul in MMA rematch

Despite suffering a rather one-sided loss to professional boxer, Jake Paul in his squared circle debut last weekend, former UFC lightweight title challenger and welterweight contender, Nate Diaz has opened as a colossal betting favorite to defeat the Ohio native in a potential rematch under the unified mixed martial arts ruleset.

Diaz, a one-time lightweight title challenger, made his professional boxing debut over the course of last weekend in Dallas, Texas, suffering a unanimous decision (98-91, 97-92, 97-92) loss to outspoken YouTuber and social media influencer, Paul over the course of 10 rounds in ‘The Lone Star State’.

For Paul, the victory came as the youngster’s seventh professional, also returning him to the winner’s enclosure after a first career defeat earlier this year, coming in the form of a split decision loss to Tommy Fury – half-brother of current WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury in February in Saudi Arabia.

Making his return to combat sports at the pay-per-view event in the American Airlines Center, prior to his loss against Paul, Diaz had most recently headlined UFC 279 back in September of last year, defeating former interim lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson with a fourth round guillotine choke submission win.

And off the back of his decision loss to Paul, Diaz, a life-long mixed martial artist and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, is available as a whopping -1,200 betting favorite to defeat the +650 betting underdog, Paul – if they make good on a potential rematch in mixed martial arts competition.

While a rematch between Diaz and Paul has yet to be made official in the early goings following their boxing clash, best fights to bet on in UFC betting sites are already offering punters and bettors odds on straight, outright betting on a potential rematch in mixed martial arts, as well as potential prop bets and wagers.

Following their boxing clash in Texas, Paul made quite the interesting proposition to Stockton native Diaz; in the form of a professional mixed martial arts rematch under the PFL (Professional Fighters League) banner – with a fight purse worth a cool $10,000,000 on offer for Diaz – which was initially welcomed by The Ultimate Fighter 5 winner, who insisted a “real fight” would end much differently.

“I’m not trying to f*cking talk sh*t,” Nate Diaz said at his post-fight press conference. “He’s boxing high-level MMA guys and he’s sparring hard and working with good people, and then he starts talking sh*t to me throughout the camp. It comes with the territory and all is fair, love and war, I’m always about that. Say whatever you want, that’s fine. But then when you start making things personal, trying to make things personal, saying sh*t he shouldn’t be saying. It hurts people’s feelings when I say this ain’t a real fight.”

“Because if it’s a real fight – remember [the] Logan Paul (lookalike) in New Orleans?” Nate Diaz asked. “No problem. This is not a real fight to be talking to me like that. This is a boxing competition, so that’s what I meant by he can’t really fight. It’s not overly disrespectful, If yu can’t really fight, don’t be talking sh*t.”
