UFC 234 goes down goes down live on pay-per-view (PPV) from the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia tomorrow night (Sat. February 9, 2019).

It’s the UFC’s first event in Melbourne since November of 2016. Per an ESPN press release, we now know the commentary and broadcast team for the event. A two-man booth will call the action, as former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and Jon Anik are working the show. Bellator fighter Chael Sonnen and Gilbert Melendez will work ESPN’s analyst desk.

Also, ESPN’s Brett Okamoto will be on location. Megan Olivi will handle fighter interviews, with a pre and post-fight show airing on ESPN+. ESPN’s main channel will air a portion of the prelims at 8:00 P.M. ET. The night is headlined by a UFC middleweight championship bout between Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum.

In the co-main event, former 185-pound champion Anderson Silva will face off against Israel Adesanya. LowKickMMA will be providing live coverage throughout the night, so be sure to keep it locked here.

UFC 234 goes down tonight (Sat. February 9, 2019) on pay-per-view (PPV) from the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.

A middleweight title fight is scheduled to close out the night. Robert Whittaker makes his first official career title defense. “Bobby Knuckles” takes on former Ultimate Fighter winner Kelvin Gastelum. The winner of the main event will have their next challenger determined in the co-main event.

Israel Adesanya faces ex-middleweight king Anderson Silva in the co-featured bout of the evening. Adesanya is undefeated in MMA, and will face a man who many have compared him to. It will certainly be an exciting night of fights for MMA fans across the world.

The UFC 234 weigh-ins took place today and the fighters met face-to-face for the last time.

The Octagon returns to the Land Down Under on Saturday night as UFC 234 is live from the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. However, the fighters must weight in and square off first.

Australia’s own Robert Whittaker will defend the middleweight title against Kelvin Gastelum in the evening’s main event. They had a pretty straightforward, non-eventful faceoff as did most of the other fights.

The pay-per-view main card will get started at 10 pm EST while the prelims will kick off at 6:30 pm EST. The ESPN prelims start at 8 pm EST.
