Rousey comes off a WrestleMania 35 loss to Becky Lynch, where she dropped her RAW Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat main event involving Charlotte Flair, who also lost her SmackDown Live Women’s Title in the match. It was the first-ever women’s match in history to main event a WrestleMania.

Now, Rousey will be sidelined for several months with an injured hand. She’ll be using that time off to start the next chapter of her life. Back in a January interview with ESPN, Rousey admitted that she has aspirations to start a family soon:

“I’ve not kept it a secret that I would definitely want to start a family,” Rousey said. “But how do you go about doing that? I love this way more than I thought that I would. So do you just keep going until you just happen to get pregnant?

“Or should you stop and go try and get pregnant? Or is going and trying to get pregnant putting yourself on the spot and then you’re less likely to get pregnant? I’ve never had a baby before, I don’t know these kinds of things. It would be kind of cool to just keep acting and then one day, ‘Hey, surprise twist, I’m pregnant.’

“That would be fun. There’s a lot of things up in the air. A lot of decisions that we’ve gotta make as a family. I’m trying to figure it out as I go along.”

Travis Browne defends WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart from a crazed fan who decided to attack the legendary pro wrestler.

WWE held a ceremony for the 2019 Hall of Fame class that honored the wrestlers who have had success in the pro wrestling business on Saturday night the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York as part of WrestleMania 35 weekend. The event aired live on the WWE Network.

Hart was making a speech alongside WWE star Natalya as part of the induction for The Hart Foundation (Hart and Jim Neidhart). During the speech, a fan rushed the ring and tried to tackle Hart.

Several people got their hands on the man as he was being taken out. Those involved include Browne, Raw Tag Team Champion Dash Wilder, Davey Boy Smith Jr, The New Day, Titus O’Neil and Bret himself.

The reason that Browne was in attendance is due to him being the boyfriend of Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. The fan was charged with two counts of assault in the 3rd degree and disorderly conduct. WWE issued a statement on the incident by stating the following:

“An over-exuberant fan surpassed our security at ringside and made his way briefly into the ring. The individual has been turned over to the proper authorities.”

A former UFC champion has been suspended by USADA.

News broke today (Tues., Sept. 11, 2018) that former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum will be on the sidelines for two years following a failed drug test.

“Vai Cavalo” tested positive for anabolic steroid trenbolone and its metabolite epitrenbolone in an out-of-competition screening on April 25 ahead of his scheduled heavyweight battle with Aleksei Oleinik at this Saturday’s (Sept. 15, 2018) UFC Moscow. Werdum was pulled from the card and replaced, ironically enough, by former opponent Mark Hunt.

Werdum is one of the most decorated grapplers in UFC and MMA history overall. He holds notable submission wins over Fedor Emelianenko, Cain Velasquez, and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Werdum won the interim heavyweight title by knocking out Hunt in November 2014 and then unified the titles by submitting Velasquez at UFC 188 the following year.

Now, however, he’ll be on the sidelines until May 22, 2020, at the earliest, as his suspension retroactively dates back to May 22, 2018 – the date he was first provisionally suspended for the infraction.

If and when “Vai Cavalo” does return to the UFC, he will be 43 years old at that time, seriously putting his career in jeopardy.

10 Hottest MMA Couples Of All-Time

Who would have thought that one could find romance in the up-and-down, rough-and-tumble world of fighting?

Fighters tend to enjoy dating other fighters; maybe it’s the fact that it’s a tough lifestyle for a non-fighter to adjust to, with long hours of training and travel that just makes it easy to date someone of common interest.

Whatever the reason, fighters and other big-name personalities surrounding the sport have coupled up more often than you think, so here are the 10 hottest couples in MMA:

10. Travis Browne & Ronda Rousey

Perhaps these two could be higher on the list, but these two aren’t active in MMA at the current time.

But Rousey was once MMA royalty, so by extension “Hapa” was one half of MMA’s hottest power couple.

Although they ultimately found love, things took an unexpected turn when the two took their talents to Glendale Fighting Club. Under Edward Tarverdyan’s tutelage, Browne and Rousey began losing fights consistently, and “Rowdy” couldn’t mentally handle defeat. “Hapa,” too, is on the worst skid of his MMA and UFC career and has been violently finished in all of his recent losses.

Now, Ronda is in the WWE and Browne has still yet to fight or have a fight scheduled since his last defeat to Oleksiy Oliynyk in July 2017.

Derrick Lewis once called out former opponent Travis Browne for allegedly hitting women, and now he’s calling out former NFL player-turned-mixed martial artist Greg Hardy.

Lewis recently discussed Hardy’s upcoming professional MMA debut, which will be under Dana White’s Contender Series with TMZ Sports, and as usual, he didn’t hold back when it came to Hardy’s history of domestic abuse.

“He’s a wife beater, I’d like to get in there with him. I like knocking wife beaters out. I’ll fight Greg Hardy. It’ll be like vice versa him beating on a woman. I’ll be beating him like he was a woman.”

”I grew up watching my mom and my stepdad fight just about every single damn day. Fist fighting every day for stupid stuff. I don’t tolerate stuff like that at all.”

Hardy was infamously charged with domestic violence against a girlfriend back in 2014, which ultimately cost him his NFL career. Lewis had brought up Browne’s history of violence towards women leading into their February 2017 fight. There, ‘The Black Beast’ knocked out ‘Hapa’ with punches in the second round.

Hardy is 3-0 as an amateur with all three victories coming by way of first-round knockout.

Would you be interested in a Lewis vs. Hardy fight should Hardy continue his ascent up the MMA ladder?
